I came across this channel because I was gifted a Super Beetle by my dad. I had mentioned that I wanted to do a Baja Bug build because of the memories he and I had with a Baja when I was a child. Shortly after receiving my Super, my dad passed away. I started searching the Internet for how to do a Super Baja, and everywhere I went, I was told not to do it. I didn't want to sell the car and get the proper one because this is one of the last few things I have from him. Then I found this channel and saw the work Spencer did on y'all's Super Beetle. The build and mod videos have been an inspiration and guide as I start to work on my build once again. And now, I have my own kid to make memories with the build, like my dad and I used to have. Spencer was indeed a certified badass. He has, and still will, help me build the vision my dad and I had with our Super. Thank you. R.I.P Spencer

Glad that you're posting. My 58 Baja now has 956k miles on the odo. Baja since 375K in 1976. Currently waiting it's turn for a valve job. Been busy replacing the engine in my 90 Toyota pre run truck. You guys have shown that a Super Beetle CAN be a working offroad Baja Bug. I know you're on a very rough trail. But with Spencer watching over you, I'm confident you will heal and be back on the trails again soon. RIP Spencer. Our team just took 2nd, 3rd & 5th in 5/16 in the Mint 400. I hope to see you out with the team again soon. Go ORAF, AGS, Lone Kid, Team Hardy, Ruben Garcia, Pharmacy Ride Shop, Team Ventura and all the other members of our race team!!!🏆🏆🏆
