Few months ago, my clumsy friend dropped the entire tray of tea he was carrying to the table. The chaayos staff was very helpful and just got us another set of the same order, no extra charges. This experience will always stay with us.
in these interviews viewers are mostly interested in knowing how they opened the first outlet. how they searched the place, cost of outlet, registering F&B business without a background, designing menu, hiring staff etc. its easy to go from 1-100 than from 0-1.
This is the best episode which is simple, down-to-earth narration of their story. They look vulnerable but very much convinced abt their vision. The guys went shaky on defining "personality" but it's fine. There is no mumbo-jumbo, cryptic tech language used. Liked it.
19:05 , “That’s not why we are motivated to bring in so much tech into a cup of chai “ . Then Mr Nitin smiles looking at Raghav as if it was too early to reveal .😂. Hope you read between the lines . Or , here’s what I felt about the great podcast . Kudos to Nitin , Raghav and Raj ! If you think these IITians with a background of working in robotics will be contented with just chai , please think again . 1- I believe , Chaios is just like the early days of Amazon selling books online . Later , it turned out to be the monopolized retail platform on the earth . 2- Chaios is tomorrow’s platform for building cocktails in all segments involving food , beverage and services (therapy , massage , haircut etc ) with the ability to customize it and perfecting to the taste of customer as many times as s/he wants. 3-Chaios is collecting zillions of behavioral data to train and predict human behavior. The setup for chai can be scaled to regional and continental foods , beverages and service involving sensory human experience . Can even be massage , therapeutics etc . The end goal isn’t to expand these robotic chai serving centers , pan india . They have thought through their business model to collect enough revenue for sustainability and research. Just a matter of time till the giant raises its head .
I completely agree with the second point. They also know today Data is the new gold. And they are creating a data base. Sp their real earning will start from selling that data. Apart from it, the story of "realness" Really sounds very fake. I mean if a customer who loves chai is drinking chai in chaios definitely will be the one who has "money" Right, so the relaxation thing is only for upper middle class
The best part is, Nitin is so respectful for his co-founder, personality wise he might look so intimidating, but he is so warm with his co-founder. The team is formidable. They will go places.
Brand building lessons were the best from the episode. Again "Great" episode. Can you upload 2 episodes in a week??? Quality of content and learnings from the content is so great that I can't wait for every Friday. And please bring Kunal Shah back on the podcast. It's a request. 😊😊😊😊😊. Thanks for the episode. You are doing great work.
The way Mr. Nitin articulates his thought seems so intriguing to me .. Everytime I see him speaking , I find myself as a founder few years down the line....
that's how they are positioning it away from Starbucks, for instance, where everyone is uptight trying to appear like they are elite. The way leaders speak in public about their product is also part of brand marketing.
'Figuring Out with Raj Shamani ft.." should be renamed to 'MBA Lessons with Raj Shamani ft..". Have been following you, Raj, for almost two years now, never disappointed. Look forward to new episodes every week! Much love
Very well crafted ! Kudos to 2 gentleman man out there to have such a indepth knowledge of subject. Keep it up guys and let's bring nation to another level.

Goli Vada pav also is a similar product and I guess they did well, not sure how far are they as on date. Anyways please keep posting such videos.
My neighbour orders chaayos. Not tasty too watery but good agar inka acha chal r hai very hardworking down to earth very inspiring ❤❤❤❤❤❤thanks buddddy
Today 1st time I drank chaayos tea... It was average, but very expensive compared to the price. The cheapest tea available was Rs. 146 (incl. tax). 90 ke upaar nahi hona chahiye tha uska price
Hi Raj, I hope you're well! I wanted to reach out and let you know how much I've been enjoying your insightful and engaging podcast. It's truly been a amazing. However, I noticed a small editing mistake in a video around 6:49. Just wanted to bring it to your attention so you can look into it. Thanks so much, and looking forward to more great episodes! Best regards, Depansh Banga
The founders are so down to earth especially Raghavl. Only missing is Raj's regular dose of humorous interaction with the founders in this podcast. A splendid podcast indeed.
Hey @raj love your podcasts most of them, i guess we are missing on some thing at the end why don't you add some "pot shot of behind the scenes of making the video" at end . it will elevate experience for sure
I don't know about chaayos being the Starbucks of India but there is another new coffee cafe brand from Bangalore called Third wave rosters that are expanding really fast and have cafes with amazing ambience and coffees which are better than Starbucks and are even priced and taste better than their competitors in the coffee space
A middle class will not go to a tapri and a cafe or Chaayos is not bcz of Chai 1. They want the sitting experience where there is AC and professionalism bcz they are earning better then lower class 3.Once the above point is established the brand Chaayos is established and everyone will talk about the cafe chaayos,so it's not for the premium chai that they sell it's for the relaxation they don't get on tapri Agar Chaayos bechoge Amrutulya jaise format me koi nhi aayega

Just one question to ask pls request to all to clear doubt.. A startup or entrepreneur should bring something unique concept of business or he can start any common business prevailed in market and even for that common concept he can get fundings to grow...
This question came becoz this business are common in market like chaiwala, barbershop and many others so as per there aspiration only they got funds as far as I can see the concept of funding there was nothing new in there business concept
Interview Yewale Chah pune He build Rs 1.2 million per month from just tea and with in Maharashtra. No fancy cafe just selling good cup of tea at same tapri price Rs 10 per cup.
Their business doesn't seems like a chai business, It's everything else but chai😐. Their menu have everything literally Paratha, keema, pakore, sandwiches, eggs, milk shakes, samosa and what not. They have simply transformed themselves as a cafe serving varieties of dishes rather than strengthening their core "CHAI". and still they deny the fact that it's almost next to impossible to make a premium chai cafe brand in india that starts @99/- cup
There’s one thing that people don’t get about Chai. It’s an acquired taste. Chai is so big and diverse that everyone has their sense of taste and preferences. I completely agree on you I don’t like chayos either. But it’s extremely high to get CHAI tick. Also completely agree that it’s overrated but I believe it’s also because they are like starbucks of chai in india
Yeah you r right I don't know why but I also don't like Chai from chaayos though I love snacks and side dishes(Specially Bun maska,EggBun ,Chilli Chease and Paneer bhurji Bun)
All these great entrepreneurs in India are passing out of great colleges and then finally deciding to sell chai and snatch business from poor chaiwallas on the street and then speak like geeks ..

This is such a profound discussion. Both the Questions & Responses from both Founders ! To-the-point and highly thought provoking. 👍
Nitin seems to be trying so hard to explain why people feel relaxed in their outlet 😄
that's how they are positioning it away from Starbucks, for instance, where everyone is uptight trying to appear like they are elite.

loving the concept of 0.1 in most of entrepreneurial podcasts in India.

The idea is one of its kind, informative, very very informative and conducive session.
Chayoos - the taste of chai is similar to regular chai, even the chai from local tea stalls is very flavorful and tasty

As a chai lover I can confirm that Chayoos serves one of the worst chai's in the world. It's all hype and IIT brand.

Hi Raj, nice interview so much talk about Chai but you guys were only sipping water all thru. You should have atleast tea as prop.
Why were there no customers during the entire conversation ?
Notice kiya ho to ye dono ka communication ek jesa hai 😂
Most of the entrepreneurs come and shower thier knowledge, experiences but these two kinda seemed just promoting chayos at every question asked.
Please do an interview of cult founders!
Would be a great insight for people working in the fitness industry.
