Daniel is always going to be my favorite character. Some people don’t like him being angry but I do love him in that way, because if somebody calls me back after 50 years and said they want to do an interview once again, but keeps lying to me even starting their own role-play in front of me for days, I will be in rage too.
His attitude started before the interview even began so imo he really has no reason to be that nasty. I'm amongst the minority who isn't a fan of Daniel.
@@shan0997 At the end of the FIRST interview Louis tried to kill him. I think that's reason enough alone for Daniel to have an attitude.
People are in their feelings because Daniel is doing his J-O-B! When you go for those cut throat interviews, reporters know they are going to be lied to and half truths are going to be told because that person has been working the press, the media, their friends and family with their webs of lies so long even they've started to believe their own lies. Reporters have to keep pushing the buttons and asking those questions no one else will until either the person slips up and tells the truth, just wants to finally admit the truth on their own, or the unfortunate lawyer steps in and shuts an interview down (which is basically like admitting that last question was true). Daniel is also going to be pissed off here because he's on borrowed time and it's being wasted unless he gets the full story. Of course if you've read the books, you know what eventually happens to Daniel, but we'll go on tv series vibes for now.
He has every reason to be angry after last season.
@@cbrownjc7633thank you I wouldn't be nice to someone who tried to kill me
Daniel is my MAN! I may be alone on this but I love a no bs sarcastic pro who is too old for this. I feel he is the perfect foil for all the sentimental poetic antics of these vamps
I am with you100%! I live for Daniel and his snark!
No you’re definitely right, he is a great foil!!! We’re trying to love him lol 😂 definitely do appreciate the sassy comments!
I love Daniel because he's aging, ill, and has had enough of their BS. He says what he means because he accepts that he will eventually die and doesn't GAF about their reactions.
@@PettyPumpkinsoh yes! I read your response to someone else I bit late... he reminds U of you. I swear that is why Louis gets on my nerves sometimes.
Like come on! Stand up! 😂
i personally LOVE daniel. he’s an old and dying man who’s had enough of louis’ shit 😂 i mean he had an interview with him 50 years ago which ended in him being attacked, then he gets called back by louis insisting he’s going to give him the whole true story this time but only ends up repeatedly lying to him again 😭 i would be tired too LOL
No you’re definitely right lol I think we’re too blinded by Jacob Anderson’s beauty!!! But we’re a work in progress lol because they definitely are hiding things from him and he has a right to be pissy!
@@PettyPumpkins yes Jacob is too sexy. Like he could be in any time period and be the sexiest.
@@enchantedboy66 what lestat even had to do with the comment let dude (louis) have his moment he’s beautiful
@@enchantedboy66 I'm talking about us hating on Daniel because he's being sassy to Louis and we are very protective of Louis (mostly because of Jacob Anderson's beauty). This has nothing to do with Lestat lol idk why you're bringing him up in this context
@@enchantedboy66 but that's YOUR opinion. we never said we think they're equally attractive lol and that's okay! we're allowed to like who we like and that's just something you must accept ❤
jacob needs all the awards for his performance and it’s only episode one
Should’ve won an Emmy for season 1 and we have no doubt it’ll be the same for season 2!
I really like how they changed so much from the book, but also kept things from the book. In the book, Louis and Claudia go to Romania and stay at a little village to look for other vampires. They find a little inn where the people are superstitious about vampires. There, he finds an English man who has been in country for a while and is excited to meet another English speaker. They changed the time period and details, but kept the main story. They also find the revenant vampires in the woods. Vampires who are mindless and more like zombies.
Wow that’s really fascinating!!! The showrunners and writers know exactly what they’re doing with the way adapting this story!
Jacob Anderson's portrayal of Louis is so lovely, you really understand why Lestat and Armand fight so hard to keep him by their side. He's definitely not perfect nor an angel but he's got so much heart that it must be irresistible and fresh to these old jaded creatures.
Also I could watch Daniel and Armand be shady to each other all day, I find their dynamic very entertaining lol.
I think k Armand is manipulating Louis to stay with him. That's what Louis' memories are unreliable and why Armand doesn't want Louis doing the interview.
Louis wants to remember what he's forgotten, but Armand doesn't want him to. That's why he keeps trying to add his input, and Daniel keeps shutting him down.
The show runners should do EVERYTHING that they can to hold on to those writers bc OMG it's sheer poetry. And it doesn't hurt that Jacob's delivery is absolutely phenomenal! I like the new Claudia a lot, she's definitely doing her thing. Also, am I the only one who thinks that Morgan gave Adrien Brody vibes? And why does the decor of their bedroom look like a jail cell?...hmmm. I agree with you that their relationship seems cold, they are so far apart on the bed. Yet, when Louis was with Lestat they would squeeze into a coffin together. Anyway, this was an amazing first episode, they definitely didn't disappoint!
They could use some of these writers on _Mayfair Witches,_ to be honest.
We were wondering if the gorgeous writing is taken straight from the book or if they just have some talented af writers working on this show! Do you know?!
@@PettyPumpkins I remember the episode titles last year were all taken from book lines, and a lot of other lines were from the book. Anne Rice could be very poetic and sometimes just unhinged.
I'm not so sure about the episode titles this season so far, though.
The story followed all the main beats of the book last season, but they got to them in a different way, so I'm curious what will happen now. This is an interesting way to keep Lestat around, I have to say. I wasn't expecting another Rashid.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone but yes, some references were taken from the book, and I thought that was brilliant! The "Adam and Eve" reference which to me was a throw back to Akasha and Enkil. The continuous conflict between Claudia and Louis, and even the old vampire who burned herself reminded me of the vampire queen from 'The Vampire Lestat'. And can I just say that for the brief time that she was on screen, the actress who portrayed her absolutely knocked it out of the park. On another note, did anyone notice that kiss between Louis and Armand when they were in bed? It was as if Louis just gave a bland peck while Armand seem as if he was briefly lingering for more.
I definitely got Adrian Brody vibes 😊
Daniel is a sassy petty man and im living for it, i liked him enough last season but this episode made me love him, these vampires need to get called out on their bs once in a while so i support it. Also could you imagine daniel meeting lestat? Lol
Also regarding Daciana, did y'all notice that she offed herself in the same way that Lestat said that his maker had done?
IKR, I was fully expecting it as soon as she was next to the giant fire
when ur on ur 1000th re-watch and finally realize the kids were singing about Dacianna
Yep. I picked that up on my second watch. She has probably been out there for a long time, and has become a legend to the people of the village.
Is that the ancient vampire at the end?
@@PettyPumpkins yes. The old woman who threw herself in the fire.
@@cullenarthur8879 Ohhh! But why was she looking for child vampires???? Or rather, trying to create some?
@@obehiikhigbonoaremen1241 she was probably trying to make other vampires so she could have a companion and not be so lonely.
Seeing Louie cry tears of blood 🩸 after realizing that Claudia could dream was so good and emotional. This season is going to be great, off to Paris we go!
So tragic already!!! But so excited for our French adventure 🤗
@@PettyPumpkins it’s going to be an adventure for sure.
You guys freaking out about how cute Louis/jacob is was literally me watching this episode 🥺🥺😭 he’s everything hehe
Jacob Anderson pls don't mind the drool 😅
My most anticipated show of 2024! ❤ I hope it gets more exposure, and it’s time for some awards! 🎉
Completely agree!! Also, Britney Haynes aka our favorite BB players as your little profile picture?? ICONIC!!!!
17:17 , you saw everything the moment he realized which memories of the ones from season 1 were the real ones. It was raining.
I actually LOVE Daniel's refusal to accept whatever bs his less-than-truthful hosts have been feeding him, and his sass in the face of obvious danger just makes him more courageous in my eyes! He's doing exactly what he's been hired to do, however uncomfortable that may be for the unreliable narrators! I'm already excited by what Dubai has to offer this season!
how can you not love daniel he's a sassy queen and in fact has all reasons to be pissed at these vampires he's everything to me
The text of this show is so rich, they really captured Anne Rice's spirit, I can't wait for the theater tho, time for the drama queens to shine lol
Sooooo excited to get into that Parisian theatre!! It’s what we deserve!
my man Daniel is just old and sassy give him a break
Maybe I just see too much of myself in him lol 😂🙈 I’m trying, okay!!!
@@PettyPumpkins I get it lol you’ll be mind blown in the future just wait
@@leslust we're ready!!!
I thought the “child” vampire was tragically sad (the crying haunts me) 😢
Extremely haunting!!! Especially if he legitimately was a young child looking like that 😩
Loved this episode, couldn't wait! I stan Daniel - Louis and Armand were jerking him around last season, he doesnt have time for this - they might unalive him and he's 🕊️ anyway. Let him be sassy 😂❤
lol you’re right!!!! I’m trying I’m trying 😂
So many freaking good new seasons of different series are coming out and I AM LIVING!
yessss!!! it's going to be an amazing summer!
@@PettyPumpkins Im so excited to spend it with yall!
@@toshaj4138 we 🧡 you!!
Aw, come on, Daniel is great. He has a mystery to solve, and he was getting played last season.
I know lol I’m tryingggggg 😂😩
@@PettyPumpkins Fair enough. We all have our roadblocks.
I'm so excited that this show is finally back. I actually think Armand is protecting himself more than he is protecting Louis. No spoilers- that's just my instinct. With the delve into Louis realizing that he is an unreliable narrator, I think Armand might have some things to worry about. I could be wrong... I just don't trust him. But I LIVE for Daniel's snark. 😆
So hard to know if Armand is the one to watch out for (which is kind of what’s being suggested) or if it’s actually Louis!!! So excited to see where this season goes from here!
@@PettyPumpkinswhy not both? 🤷🏾♀️
This season is going to be such a ride!!!! So excited to watch it with all of you this summer! 🤗🩸🫶🏻
so glad you kept up with this series!
Watching the vid of you binge-watching the first season is what got me obsessed with this show in the first place💀
thank you ! this is one of my favorite books and im so glad yall like it :)
I love Daniel! These Vampires all have daddy issues. Daniel will be catnip to them. In the books, Lestat openly goes after a guy in his 70's. He thinks that's a great age for humans to be because they are more interesting to him. Armand and Lestat's makers were both made when they were older. So, yeah That old man is gonna get some vampire strange.
😂😂😂
Armand and Louis relationship seems to be more highlighted in the series which makes it more appealing. Especially with Lestat playing in Louis’ mind and his guilt. The new actress for Claudia is seriously giving me the Ester from Orphan with Jane and Alice from Twilight. 🧛🏻♂️🧛🏾🧛🏽🧛🏾♀️🩸
Adore you guys for continuing this series! I watched your season 1 video so many times!! 😍🤩💖
Thanks for staying on it petty pumpkins I really appreciate both of your dedication 🎉🎉🎉keep it up you will have a million followers in no time
We appreciate YOU!!! Thank you so much!! 🤗❤️
Yay excited to see this with y'all! 👏🔥
Thanks for watching!!! 🤗
"Policy sweetie." lol. Unfortunately, it is.
And Claudia looking over at Louis like, "See, stupid?"
Poor Emilia. Out there care taking of them all, being sensible, and the voice of reason--
only to be taken out by that ignorant mob.
It was just a little odd that she even made it back to the factory.
I kind of wondered if another vampire had gotten her--
because that big hulking zombie vampire didn't look like the type to leave left-overs.
True, yeah i think it was probably Daciana that bit her????
Tiptoe through the tulips! Yaaa we stan Tiny Tim in this household 🌸
Yay so happy yall are reacting! It was such a long time from the last season but so worth it ❤ I feel like they are gonna really go in ( even more) with the horror vibes so excited!
Louis and Armand are acting like parents that pretend like they’re not on the verge of divorce in front of the kids like we can’t hear them arguing in their room 😭
Armand looks so fine, me personally? I’d forget that blond man and focus on the KING IN FRONT OF ME. LOUIS, YOURE LOSING THE PLOT A BAD BITCH IS IN FRONT OF YOU
OMG right! Like a horribly controlling king but he is serving so much cunt this whole episode
Lmaooooo not a bad bitch😂😂😂
@@jordynturner4244 that man is too fine I need him to come over here real quick

Crow= Black
I was wondering about that. So that's why she pushed that little boy down. I didn't understand that until I saw your comment.
Thank you! He deserved the push and then some!
All of this could have been avoided if Louis would have just told Lestat that he loved him. Lestat loves Louis to the point of obsession he literally begged him in the sky.
Why did Daciana roast herself like Pearl's mother????? 🫠🫠🫠🫠🤸♂️
i literally found you guys off of the s1 video and been super obsessed with your channel since
I guess Louis and Armand want to present a united front for Daniel? As if he can't crack them 😂
I've just finished watching this show right now on BBC and we've got a different version to this with more swearing and nudity! Strange that the original network that produces it shows a censored version 🤔
Enjoying these reactions a lot!
OMGGG, I love your videos, thank you for reacting to this show 🥰✨ I love IWTV sm ❤️🔥
Thank you!!! We love it so much too 🤗
Happy mother's Day Louis and Lestat 🎉❤
Whatever bit Amelia would not create a sustainable vampire… it seems all that propagates there are zombie type vampires. She would have never survived.
Even if it had been a "normal" vampire that bit her, she wouldn't have turned. To be turned, someone has to drink the vampires blood as well as be bit. They killed her just out of fear that she could become a vampire. Louis could have told them this, but he would have to expose himself as vampire, so he walked away.
That definitely makes sense!
Loved this! I really want you guys to read Devil’s Minion tho… I think it’ll really change your opinion of Daniel… ^^ 👀
Shhhh let them enjoy it in due time in the show! If they go that they’ll change it for sure anyway
@@arutlit62 Ehhhh I dunno 🤔 I think reading DM while season 1 was airing increased my enjoyment of it a lot. Even if they maybe only hint at it. It helped me like Daniel and enjoy Armand a lot more, considering I really haven’t read any of the books otherwise 😅
Daniel is my number one
You have to feed them the blood to turn them
👍🏻👍🏻 too many different pop culture vampire lores to remember what goes with what lol 😂
What an emotional episode to open Season 2, loved it!!! I didn't know if I was gonna like the new Claudia but I do, exceptional actress. It was wicked depressing tho but they're going to gay paree, how could they be sad in Paris?! Daniel gives no shits or fucks lmao, he's sick & dying & clearly doesn't care if they kill him. Jacob Anderson: phenomenal!!!
Maybe you will see him as himself after his backstory, after this season😢😢
Lestat or Daniel?
@@PettyPumpkins Daniel☺️
What does it mean " you will see as himself" ?
@@LinaMallet I think Daniel is a character that can be slipped into two, The young naïve reporter, and the angry old man. Two Combined together is the whole real Daniel himself.
@@yu-lb8py Ohh ok thanks for answering

@@breannleonard5061 we 🧡 you!!
While I love him, Claudia deserves so much better than Louis. He made her (dooming her to perpetual girlhood) cause he wanted a sister then continuously put L*stat over her. Like he's funny and sassy but he's actually demonic. And yes, all these characters are flawed but my God...the trauma L*stat has inflicted on everyone is insane. But anyway, Claudia is so real for hating Louis a little bit and L*stat a lot.
You’re right lol 😂 they both deserve some lashings from her!!!
I find it so weird that so many people seem to not like David. He is a key ingredient of the show to me, keeping it from going full melodrama. Yes, he is sassy and provocative, he is an old school journalist who smells the bul**** from the beginning. He challenges Louis and Armand because the tale is clearly unreliable and he wants to get to the bottom of it. He annoys them so they are off guard and let the truth slip. Perhaps it's a generational thing, younger millennials and zoomers seem to be far more earnest and don't seem to approve the more ironic and sarcastic mindset of Xennials and Gen Xers. Daniel is a Boomer with a bratty Gen X soul and I love him for it.
Hii we actually come around on Daniel later in the season, he's written the way he's written for a very good reason!
🎃🎃📙📺🧡
Claudia is 40
Literally PRAYING to my lord and savior Taylor Swift for you to react to Mayfair Witches 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Two rump rangers watching gay vampires… good Christ!
Spoiler. The reporter is a werewolf
Daniel is annoyed because he knows he isn’t getting the full story. I think he believes Louis is lying or withholding information but then starts to see what the real problem is, Armand! This episode is giving us more information if you’re paying attention. Armand is extremely manipulative and controlling. I don’t believe Louis is lying, I believe his memories have been manipulated.
Here's the big question. In the last scene, who was Louis really talking to? Claudia or Lestat?
I think both Louis and Claudia want to believe Louis was speaking to her. But ghostat being there was probably Louis’s subconscious telling him he’s lying :((
Did Jacob Anderson look skinnier to you?
Beware of people that keep saying louis is lying and that armand is manipulating louis. Those are lesat fans who only think his version should be believed while louis' discarded
Yeah I started to notice this... As if one of the whole themes of the show isn't different personal perspectives vs objective truth (whatever that means...). But yeah, you can tell a lot of these Lestat stans think his perspective (especially about himself) will be The Truthful One. 🙄
@freshPrincess626 Which is odd because the "unreliable narrator" doesn't actually mean liar. It can simply mean that Louis memories aren't completely accurate. But people misremember stuff all the time, and it doesn't make it true.
