Thank you Jorma, for everything. Yet again, for playing those heart-warming shows on the soil of your ancestors; Finland. I was at that Tampere gig.. All the best!
One of my first albums was Cheap Thrills when I was 16. I recently saw Stephanie with an impromptu band she organized on the Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man cruise. She was great then and now that I've seen this I am even more amazed. Great talent all around!
Such an emotional song. It made me shed a tear for all the hell we’ve been through in the past year to present with all the lockdown and power grabs going on. ✌️
Love it when Jorma breaks out in a grin as the lead guitarist breaks into his psychedelic lead 3/4 of the way into it. Jorma did that in his youth and he seemed to appreciate someone else cutting loose like that.
Ben Nieves je zapravo uradio najveći i najbolji gitarski deo. Bio je na koncertu u Mostaru 2011, sa ovim bendom, na letnjem festivalu, a ja sam u to vreme na žalost bio u Grčkoj.
This is awesome. Could you please post the musician's names in the info section. Is it everyone from the original lineup, except Janis of course, so [again] of course it would great to be able to acknowledge this singer when I share the link to the video. Thanks!
É tão bom aínda poder lhes vê ao vivo nos dias de agora... Muito obrigado, rapaziada da Big Brother! Show!!! Natal RN Nordeste Brasil, em18 de junho de 2023.
SUPER, SUPER Y MAS SUPER FREGONES. LA EXPERIENCIA DEJA CALIDAD Y EXCELENCIA, QUE LASTIMA QUE YA NO VIVE JANIS JOPLIN. ME EMOCIONE Y DISFRUTE COMO CUANDO ERA HIPPIE.
Jorma Kaukonen playing the Orange SunBurst Gibson was an Original Member of Jefferson Airplane , by the way , they appeared at WOOD FUCKING STOCK , I saw Jorma in Munchen Germany in 1981 , at a small club, while we stood outside at night in the dark night waiting to go in, I asked those German young people around me if they knew who Jorma Kaukonen was ???? ... Non of them had a clue...So I dropped a dime and told them he was the Lead Guitar Player of the Headlining Featured Rock Band that Played at Woodstock...They did not know who he was in 1981 in Germany! He was playing as a BLUES man. Before the Set began I walked up to him and handed him a bag of Candy I purchased in a shop in Augsburg, and said to him ... Hay will you play CANDY MAN for me?...He stopped for a second & looked up into my eyes and as he smiles ,,,he said , Sure Dude, I told him I was from CALI.... and I had his back... He thanked me for the candies...
Anthony Coffey the rest of the story ... half way thru his performance ...Jorma was playing an acoustic Les Paul ... sitting alone on the stage in the small venue... well, the Amps pulled so much power ... the circuits failed, the place went black and the amps fell silent, I can't remember what bluesy tune he was doing, but , he just sort of continued to play through with the sound coming out of that Guit-box.. most of the younger crowd sort of got pissed , but he Jorma... was undaunted by the lack of electricity , and finished the song , and the set without hesitation, like "Who Needs Edison ? " ... I was impressed by his tranquility and for hammering the strings as if he had a mission.... Well thats the rest of the story....
Drummer Dave Getz turned out ( recently!) To be very disappointing. Rude, snide, and treats fans like shit. I'll never play any music with him on drums .. On my 19 year running syndicated FM radio show.
@@sammyscotch9945 Peter's a good guy. I had conversations with him on two occasions, both blues cruises. He's like an encyclopedia of the 60s and 70s San Francisco rock scene.
Big Brother and the Holding Company was one of the BEST bands to come out of the sixties.
Thank you Jorma, for everything. Yet again, for playing those heart-warming shows on the soil of your ancestors; Finland. I was at that Tampere gig.. All the best!
This is fun, after all those years... her singing is so authentic and well crafted... cool guitarplaying, versatile..great!

Well, good.
Legends plug in and explore Janis's main song .
Йорма играл в Джеферсон аэроплан ...
The old Big Brother was great without a singer, they be kicked ass jammin' dudes. Loud, oh yeah !! They didn't even play Janis songs, totally raunchy.
who didn't play Janis songs? Ball and Chain is a Joplin song!
@@brook8294 He means back in the day after she'd left the band.
please
NOBODY plays like that anymore. Wonder what went wrong in the past 50 years.....
Ci fai rimpiangere ancora di più Janis scusate ma.........😥😥😥😥
Sometimes plagerizing the Bible you just know it’s gonna go bad. Case in point.
Здорово, но Джоплин лучшая
nice imitation..but why can no-1 come close 2the psychodelic /power of yup-JAMES GURLEY!!!!!!
sinto que janis é a única que saudades

Really? Getz aint cool? Ive seen some interviews w Sam and Peter and they too, not so cool..
I can't see who is on drums here. Is it Getz
@@sammyscotch9945 Peter's a good guy. I had conversations with him on two occasions, both blues cruises. He's like an encyclopedia of the 60s and 70s San Francisco rock scene.
so janis e a banda...sorry
There is only one BigBrother member , Stan Getz on bass guitar. That's all.
The BigBrother feeling is gone. And the singer is not really good.
Lol that's peter albin on bass. Sam Andrews on guitar and dave getz on drums. All original members of BBHC
Lol that's Peter Albin on bass. There is no Stan Getz playing
Lol
Wow this is bad. Listen to the real Cheap Thrills version. Some classics should not be messed with.
So, Big Brother should never have recorded it? Big Mama Thornton wrote and recorded it.
