Great video Neko!! If that's still Logan's work, he's killing it with that montage. Love this project and the work Faction Bike Studio is doing - hopefully they'll up their Instagram content with the newfound fame.
The bike looks amazing. The development and fabrication process is interesting. And the transparency is refreshing. Looking forward to seeing the long term conclusions!
First off, Logan is crazy good at making these videos. From the angles, cuts and music, it's just perfect in every way. Secondly, what a beautiful bike! I can't wait to see what's to come in the future.
Man, this is an awesome continuation of your project and I 100% agree with you and Faction on the bonding process, 100% or as close as you can get accurate. The tech in adhesives these days is insane, far as I know they use it on things that take a lot more stress than a bike and it holds up. Think this company has a bright future ahead for proto development for small companies who just don't have the capital to invest in all that's needed to develop stuff. Will be interesting to hear how these frames hold up on the WC tracks and how they compare to the old welded versions.
Wow, looks awesome. Looking forward to seeing how the bonded frames do in real world race testing as well. Suspect they will run well given the R&D by Faction.
isnt the heat tolerance issue solved in a aluminum and steel just by baking the whole thing? what is the life of the resins used in this frame vs carbon? how does it deal with changes in temperature?
The frame looks gorgeous ! Is the rocker something that might carry over from this version of the bike to others ? Looks a lot lighter than the one before.
The rocker link does look really nice cut out like that! We don't know what the plans are for the future of that link design yet. It is actually about the same weight or slightly heavier than our current link. And takes a bit more time on the CNC which makes it cost more, but looks so good!
@@Loganmulally damn didn't think it could be heavier than the other one with all that material removed. I'm sure it's a pretty costly CNC job. They can't be made from the same material though if their weight is close right ?
I went to a bike park thinking “I’ll have the coolest bike here all weekend unless I see a FW.” Sure enough; I see one. The dude who owned it was super chill, was one of his first days on it.
We will see what happens when we get to a larger scale. It requires a larger volume of CNC parts which may compensate for the price saving from not needing to weld and heat treat. But would be a huge benefit if we can also bring down the price!
the whole transparency is just so beautiful.
And the candidness of it. It's not left to be as vague as possible. Start to finish just simple, terse honesty.
The headtube badge and fitment is soooo satisfying!
The logo interface was so satisfying
It’s a good day any day we get to learn about bike design from Neko and team!
Your bonded result blurs the line visually to the lines of a finished carbon frame. It's a work of art.
The whole FW approach is so sweet. Thanks for bringing us along

Thank you very much! Still the same crew over here
Bucketlist item: Get, Build, & Ride a Frameworks DH rocketship!

Insane. Very proud of that home company at Faction.
Good luck this season Neko and all your team!

Loctite Hysol has been around for a long time, now it's been discovered by the bike industry.
Just like a Lotus Elise. Bonded aluminum for the win!
This series is just amazing!! Seeing the development of the bike and learning about the process. It's gotta be the best looking bonded bike I've seen
Gorgeous bike. Love this series and you guiding us thru your process. Can't wait to see it on the WC.
This series just keeps getting better. Keep up the good work
Beautiful bike
Wonderful bike, great video riding and music 🤙🏻✌🏻🤟🏻
As always, awesome work. I love seeing FW bikes at races around the southeast.
All the best with your project. Lovely how you floating over the rocks
That’s a really well-engineered frame. But it’s the head badge I like the most - trick!
Really liking the almost seamless joints. Keen to see what the outcome is for the long term testing 👍
Your bikes are absolute works of art, id love to ride one of them at highland in the future
Still loving this project and wish you and the team best of luck this year. Also, cool choice of music for this video!
I like the back triangle it looks solid.. I've seen a lot of back triangles snapped in welding places even the biggest bicycle companies
Wicked clean looking. Excellent job!
Their frames are gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing, That is one smooth frame in appearance and in traction, just glued to the ground.
Wow, looks awesome. Looking forward to seeing how the bonded frames do in real world race testing as well. Suspect they will run well given the R&D by Faction.
What a master piece!
That frame is gorgeous
Awesome
Keep doing what you’re doing
prototype version 2.599 looks really refined.
That frame is mama mia, bellissimo!
Intro montage was fire! And good looking bike. Exciting stuff.
Great looking bike! Definitely more refined
Art. At its finest.
Those head tube lug shots are so crazy
So sick !!! Great video big Dawgs!!!!
Very clean! Really enjoy the progress you have made.
That head badge process is dope af and it looks killer

🦗 🦗 🦗
What grade of alloy is that?
Also the machining on inner side of the seatstays to maximize effeciency, just beautiful!
Frame looks great as a short rider are you able to make frame in different sizes with the this manufacturing process?
Great project!!!
Neko, could you give me some idea of how often you change gears on a race run and which you think are your dominant ranges?
whos the artist for the music?! loving these videos
A little o t perhaps, but what was the artist / song?
Great to see dynamic thinking in the bike building industry! Beautiful work!
Beautiful!
Brilliant!
Curious about the bond joint and adhesive used. Are you doing a draft angle or anything between the lugs/tubes to ensure bonding surface area?
looks sick bro
Neko for president
Suggest you upgrade to a dual spring setup in the rear and make it the same kashima gold it is the perfect match
yo you guys should use some colter wall on one of these, it would hit
Great content
Is this the same thing the Athertons did with their new S series aluminum bikes?
Why do your bikes all look much sexier than what exists on the market ? Strait experimentations, simple clean looking
That’s amazing
Soo good, thanks for sharing.
I could think of a certain brand that could benefit from pivoting their prototype construction duties to Faction Bike Studio.
Wow 😳 what a dream bike
First time I heard this song I thought it would be great for a mtb edit, good job! 😀 And a cool bike too.
Sick!!!!
Cant you use different materials if they dont need to be weldable?
That is sic AF!!!
bike looks sick
The beauty of an interference fit
Coming along nicely......Ha!
I'm budgeting for a FW no doubt
I love how open you talk about your sponsor deals. This is unfortunately way to rare
Love the look. :)
very cool bike
looks like a spaceship now
Awesome.
The frame looks gorgeous !

Why we really did this: no one wants to BK, so Neko had it his way.
hope you model it after the atherton bikes, not the exploding pivot bikes
what's the theme song? :)
Brent Cobb, Black Creek.
@@think1up123, Black Crow. Thanks! It sounds great on my streamer
What it's like by Everlast 👍
aaaaand today was a good day.
Is the shock 230 or 250? Because I have never seen a DHX in 250.
It is a 250 shock
@@Loganmulally Wow! Is it custom? Is it maybe coming to market anytime soon?
🔥🔥😳😳
Careful the front don’t fall off
hell ya brother
beatifull, clean, smooth design. I love it!
This bike is beatiful more whit rockshox, congrants neko 🔥🤯🤩
Hey Neko, you’re an inspiration on so many level. God willing I’ll own one your bikes soon enough
Looks sick, just dont use the same glue as Pivot and youll be all good
Goddam 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Perfect frame for a ebike conversion 😮 but super slick design! cant even tell its bonded, sure wish to see if it will hold 😢
The best looking bike out there. Insane to see this bike evolve to what is it now. Also, Logan you're killing it as always!

As a mechanic I greatly thank you for the external cables. Zero issues trusting this.
Any plans on changing the rear tri from carbon?
Is that a DHX shock?? Or something else??
holy sheeeet thats cool 😮
It's so bizarre seeing a massive resurgence in 30 year old technology.
The BEEPER KING was right technology is cyclical.
I was thinking further back when welding wasnt a thing and steel bicycles were bonded by brazing the tubes to lugs.
So not paying for a master welder the price should come down on the frames ? Less man hrs right.
We will see what happens when we get to a larger scale. It requires a larger volume of CNC parts which may compensate for the price saving from not needing to weld and heat treat. But would be a huge benefit if we can also bring down the price!
@@Loganmulally that would be amazing. Would love to get my hands on the bonded trail version. If that comes to production.
Retro is new again…Raleigh had bonded titanium main tubes to chromoly head tube in late 80’s I had one…
I'll give a kidney for one or the $ amount.
