This is probably one of the strongest episodes of the show and the voice acting (Rina is so talented goddamn) and dialogues were just so good. I'm on the side that the confession is romantic, but the show wouldn't make the romance in your face/immediate. It will be more subtle with hints here and there. Maybe you'll get to see a difference in their interactions? :)
By the way, it was Nina who turned up the radio to give Momoka some semblance of privacy

I think it's okay for a reactor to cry during a reaction. I think it validates the emotions that the viewer is feeling if the reactor feels and expresses it the same way.
I definitely teared up during this episode.

    Like I said on patreon
That kokuhaku (confession of love) is really got all of us, even in legal licensed or you can say official translation sub still saying "I love you after all" "I'm confessing my love". Btw it's official sub by toei staff on legal Indonesian streaming service Catchplay+
And from what I heard Nina said "Yappari watashi, Momoka-san ga suki desu" means "I like you after all, Momoka" and Nina said "Isn't it obvious?" and then Nina said "kokuhaku desu" means "It's confession"
And in Japanese language and culture 'kokuhaku' means confession of love in romantic relationship. you can look it up yourself.
And because of this Girls Band Cry fans who likes yuri and hate yuri in Indonesia debating this scene, even in Japan people debating this scene too.
And in episode 1 Momoka said she lives with a guy who has boyfriend which mean Toei okay with this staff.
And as a person who likes yuri and as a person majoring in Japanese literature I considered this as confession of love in romantic way. But I think it's up to interpretation. I mean if it's a boy and girl you definitely say they are lovers now

also the "dont run away" part
there was a better subs where Nina said "Im not your excuse to run away" instead. which makes more sense considering momoka was projecting her past self to nina the whole time

atually, I quite enjoy reactors cry at the same place I cried when I watch by myself.so I think you can feel free to cry when reacting

the conflict was because of momoka's choice of decision with not only herself but also nina. after all, nina is still as dedicated to keep momoka with the band because she loves her music and composition. however, that clashes with her own goal of becoming a "pro", which basically is the main reason momoka refused to continue working with DD and the agency they agreed to work for. as always, nina disagrees and began looking into why momoka started the band and persisted her to join, despite the consequences of it falling apart like this. of course, nina just wanted to sing alongside momoka and she found out how much she means to her. literally, in the middle of her issue where she's unable to express the anger she felt with the bully, her music saved her. to prevent any emotional outbursts, she turned the issue over by coping with momoka's composition. that basically saved her from everything, because in my interpretation, if it weren't for her songs, nina would've headed in the wrong direction opposite from where she is now. her source of motivation and strength to keep going (despite the lack of trust for herself but still tries) is VOID. and that itself, is when nina realised how much she's helped her in the midst of crisis. "i'm the living proof that there's someone who has been saved by you" -Sasuga Subs.
nina realised from the start that momoka has this tall boundary/wall around her when it comes to what she calls "passion" like it's nothing. momoka's mechanism is indifference towards diadust because deep inside, she has the repressed disappointment(?) for them. she thought of it either way and most likely realised that her opinion about what her former band has become is a little too illogical for her to embrace it... it's making me think that her decision is based purely of her own feelings, comfort and passion. she chose to acknowledge the fact that these trio wouldn't also want to choose the path they all chose but still quit out of her comfort zone. it's also reasonable because she knows it's not DD's fault, so she found no reason to bash on them for that reason alone.
i feel like my interpretation is kinda related to a tweet i found.
readdressing my interpretation; "i believe it's because she has little to no self confidence, trust or self esteem when it comes to her own abilities. remember the time she always emphasizes on "my music will not reach the world" indicates that her view of herself is not worth for so much of it. i'm pretty sure it's nina's genuine care, love and support for her is still there, not just as a fan but someone who has been a victim to momoka's pure creation from the heart. thinking about that, she then realised that it finally got noticed and i'd say she's never felt as appreciated as how nina told her." -before i found the tweet.
this can be tied to how she treats herself. she's too stuck up with her past that she wanted to see the satisfying end with nina, especially because it has effected her so much in her current state. as herself, she can't appreciate what has happened, in result of trying to mold nina into following the right path. she never acknowledged the fact that she was able to go through it, and survived with this amount of effort, yet nina sees her differently. nina is not momoka. nina admires and loves momoka in a way she can't give to herself.

The sub’s really cause some misconceptions, After an in-depth analysis It isn’t a confession of love romantically
Most of the community doesn’t even want this to happen in the first place lol

It's interesting seeing the community be divided over this topic. I think that if the show wants to definitively show a big leap in their relationship, then they will show it. I personally don't think this was any kind of confirmation, just a slight nod in that direction.

@@DeliveryMatWell, as OP said I also believe it’s not a love confession romantically. However the vague direction is intended to make audiences wonder if this is suggesting Nina is in love with Momoka romantically or not. This is called Yuri bait I believe. You can see this Bocchi, Licorice Recoil etc… The reason is obvious, good amount of people into Yuri anime and they wanna appeal those audiences as well while keep it as not entirely Yuri genre. As a native Japanese, and considering the context behind it, Nina didn’t say that romantically when you watch the scene normally BUT you could fill the untold context in your head and take it as a love confession as well. In conclusion, take it however you like it to be.

P.S. I think the transition you are currently watching is doing a pretty decent job. I’ve seen way worse lol. But it’s still mistranslated here and there, it’s small portions of it so I don’t really mind but this part particularly confused me. Translator clearly put their thoughts into Nina’s line lmao. So I wanted to point out to be fair
