I bought the kit version when it first came out. I bought it mainly for the scale appearance and was VERY surprised out how well it performs. Only think I changed out was I put metal steelies on it in place of the stock plastic rims. Plus I cut my own foams. As you mentioned, very happy with the tires. Did very well for how scale looking and tiny they are.

Awesome looking car and I really like that it is available as a kit. I am seriously looking at getting a 1/10 crawler and main contender is FTX Outback Tracker with the MST DC1 a close second. I am wondering whether one could reasonably upgrade the DC1 in the future to 2 speeds.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm sure the DC1 could be upgraded to a 2-speed. I was running a TRX-4 before the DC1 and became very accustomed to having a 2-speed. And I will say this: The DC1 with a higher (35ish) turn motor on 3S is perfect! I can crawl and I've got the wheel speed I want at times. And I'm cheap, so my motors aren't very good, lol! I can only imagine a good brushed 5-slot Holmes Hobbies in there, ah, that would be nice.
I don't know anything about the FXT, but I will say that the DC1 is capable, a joy to drive, and the Discovery body is absolutely awesome! 💯

I don't have one yet, but it's on my radar to pick up. My LHS puts them on sale occasionally, so I'm just waiting on that. Any good mods you'd recommend? 👊
@@poorboysrc as you said in you're video go for a 1080 and the links from GPM . I also have other wheels and tires because the standard one are crappy. And for extra i have bress wheel hupes
