When I used to travel to Asia back in the 90's and early 2000, I want to go to the Philippines. During those days there was no UA-cam. What was in the main stream media at that time were only bad news about this country. Rebels, poverty and a corrupt government. I was shock when I first came across your vlog about thos country Kulas, that was during Covid sitting in the house under curfew. It was at this point that I decided to stop watching the main media news and follow independent media, UA-cam snd orher social media platforms. My biggest wish was that as soon that the right time comes after these mad sickness I will go to the Philippines. The main reason is that I had a Filipina girlfriend for some time in 1998 but she flew back to the Philippines and we could not meet again. Philippines is like my country the Seychelles,, I can live their even in the Province because i was born in this kind of environment. Unfortunately in 2022 I felt ill followed by an accident that makes me bed ridden for two years. Now i am back on my feet with one crutch and still need two operation to get fully back and walk by my own feet. I will work for two more years with god blessings I must visit this country and even stay for atleast six months there.
Wow, you are truly a Manila boy now. No one would ever try jogging from BGC to QC then take the LRT and MRT on your way back to BGC! And you're right, the average Metro Manila commuter deserve kudos and respect for the daily hassles of using the public means of transpo, which should be a nightmare for any tourist but you surely did it with flying colors! You're our man, kulas!!!
How come I have not seen your channel before? Awesome vid my man and thanks for embracing the Filipino culture and my country. We welcome people regardless where they come from. Please keep the vids coming eh. Thanks dude. :)
You really have not seen his channel. He is a Filipino citizen already. The Senate of the Philippines conferred citizenship on him. So he has a Philippine passport.
Kudos for braving the public transpo in the PH. It's a daily battle for us workers in the city. I hope the government will direct more efforts in improving infrastructure and consolidating train lines all over the metro. They seem to prioritize cars over PUVs and providing a safe and walkable city, hence the traffic.
You smell good dude, stay in shape and thank you for sharing your experience in the LRT journey and jogging scenery. I really enjoy your Filipino ways🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭❤❤❤🫶🫰🏼✌🏽🤘🏽👊🏽
i noticed you tried to smell yourself at the train. Glad that my people does not smell most of the time. Proud of you how you manage the public transportation.
Wow, you RAN from Taguig to QAve. That is dedication, my friend. Watching your vid, and hearing you mention Mami, I thought "Is he going to Ma Mon Luk?" Sayang, you weren't able to eat. But you should. I used to pass there daily in college to and from UP. I ate there a few times. I actually went more to the original Ma Mon in Quiapo, right beside Quiapo Church, but I don't know if that one's still open. If you're craving really good Chinese, go to Binondo. My mum and I used to go to Wai Ying a lot. 😂😂😂 Great vid, as usual, Kulas!
Ma Mon Luk if not already should be Philippines national land mark for its history. I believe there’s only one in the country with the other branch closed, and with its popularity and delicious mami and siopao would explain why they sell out before closing. I remember my grandpa taking me there back in the 70’s when we were still living in the Philippines. ❤
Kulas It's me Mark! Remember been 5 Year after Taking pictures with me and My Dad in SM CDO Downtown, Cagayan de oro❤ I'm 13 Year old Live in Zamboanga City, and thank you for us kulas❤️🇵🇭🇺🇸)
Good day Kulas. Thanks for your video & We are watching from Metro Manila, Philippines. Assalamu alaikom ( means peace be with you ) ( maanaa kanimo Ang kalinaw ) - is the Muslim greetings in the whole world for all Nationalities , Races and Tribes.
Mami sold out! Not surprised. Even in our small town you have to be in line before they open. Prices sure are higher. We used to get the Mami especial (with egg) for 25 peso. Admire your dedication. In my mind, I'd be "How many Mami spots did I pass up to get here?"
15:37 When you pass by Ma Mon Luk again I suggest passing by Joe Kuan. Although not as old as Ma Mon Luk, it’s another Siopao and Mami place in the metro with a little bit of nostalgia attached. I think their main branch would have still been open by then and probably about 45 mins walk from where you were. 😊
If I were you, Kyle, I would have called the restaurant and ordered a pick-up order -- before embarking on that arduous trek. ...🏃♂️ Well, you did get your exercise. 👍
Kulas, I am a fan. Advice for you, it's really 4:04 different running and scootering around Manila. Please wear front and rear lights specially jogging at night. Better to be safe. Enjoy the holidays!
We had great memories dining at Ma Mon Luk. Our parents use to treat us there when we do good at school. There was one in Cubao before. You should definitely go back they have the beat siopao.😊😊😊
Those people on the river are actually the badjao from Mindanao . They lived along the coastal road in cavite and LPPCHEA . The easiest way to go to MA Mun Lok is just straight EDSA and turn left to Quezon Ave. As simple as that .
light water has a PH of 8.2. It means it as alkaline water. I have acid reflux and i drink alkaline water and it relieves my symptoms. But you need to drink it at least 1h after you eat because you need acidity to digest the food. You know when you eat and you feel blotted? After drinking alkhaline water( i drink it at a level of 9) it take out the feeling of being blotted and it stop the caughing from the acidity going up to my troat.
ako nga din. inaalala ko nga baka makadinig siya sa mga katabi nya. alam mo naman tayong mga pinoy😂 tapos baka hindi pa nila alam nagtatagalog pala si Kulas😅.
Best mami ever Kulas is the Maki Mi from Divisoria, Manila look for the tiny Carinderia called SERVES WELL. they make the best one, for me it's the number one mami ever, hopefully the Cook maintain its authenticity.
There's another Mami place just a kilometer from Ma Mon Luk, they serve the best beef Mami & Asado Siopao , it's "Ling Nam". There's another Mamihan named "Le Ching", it's just 300 meters from Ma Mon Luk. My favorite Chinese resto in Banaue QC is "North Park"
Ma Mun Look - my father's favorite Chinese restaurant in Manila, whenever we are in Quiapo Manila area that's the place we go to, best Mami and Siopao. I
Hi Kulas what’s up yo, your a very well fit fellow. Run Kulas Run 😂😂😂😂 Keep what are you doing and take care always and your wife best wishes and God bless, all the best from Canada
Kulas, what's a dignified gentlemen like you, doing running around the hood in the rain, with a headband on wearing bright colors, chillin with the homeless, looking for chicken, and not finding any... all to take all types of transportation home to find that chicken had been waiting for you all along.... trippin man
You saw the house on your left, thats called the Cuenca House. You can call that the '1st Malacanang'. After Gen Aguinaldo declared independence in Kawit, the revolutionary government used that house as its headquarters or the seat of the new government.
When you passed through Rockwell, I was thinking that you could go visit Wil Dasovich, but then I remembered that he is at his lola's place right now. Maybe later on you can collab with him. Tough break about the mami, especially after the lengthy jog. Sayang! If Kumander was with you, I'm sure he would have recommended you have a hotdog at the 7 Eleven where you stopped. I bet it would have been his treat, too. lol🤣
Salamat sa pag daan sa aming business
KUSINA NI BAYAW
sir kulas it pleasure to meet you sir😊

Really is quicker to jog than drive during peak hour in EDSA. Google map is very helpful and that’s a fact. Well, better luck next time Kulas. 😄
Yes, you need 400cc to ride on skyway tolls
Nice. ❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉
Wow mandaluyong looks different now, that is where I grew up till I was 13 then I moved to California.

Ma Mun Look - my father's favorite Chinese restaurant in Manila, whenever we are in Quiapo Manila area that's the place we go to, best Mami and Siopao. I
BGC rocks
I don't know which one is faster, for you to take a jeepney or bus going to Edsa/Quezon Ave. MRT station.
You could have just gone to Banawe and you'll find lots of mami places there as it's the Chinatown of Quezon city
