It may sound stupid but how I got my friends to join me in the Liturgy is I kept giving them food from monastery which was so good they had to try for themselves 😂. Tell your loved one about the community that the church offers, lead by example, don't force it and if she can see that it benefits you and fulfills your soul she will be curious and hopefully join you. I have a similar situation in my family so I just do it without pushing anyone to join me. But always be prepared with strong arguments as to why do you go to church (some people will "G check you")

Being at a protestant church, we saw a guy who was a marriage pastor so to speak, and he also said don’t ever go to bed angry. If you do, you will wake up 10 times as angry as you were when you went to sleep and you might not even remember what you were angry about in the first place it just magnifies exponentially the problem, so there were times when my wife and I would stay up till two or three in the morning talking things out even when we had to get up at six or so to go to work, so yeah I don’t ever go to bed angry

I have mixed feelings about this. Usually I wake up with a clearer head and am able to make peace. Sometimes dragging it on while we’re tired just makes us more angry. I don’t know

It's important to tell people, boundaries are lines you draw for YOURSELF, that YOU won't cross. Trying to draw lines for others creates conflict. Other people have to draw lines for themselves, and if they won't, and they're trying to set boundaries for you, you can't have a fulfilling relationship.

Thank you father for you advice. I have a question. Sometimes, I get so upset that I just need a break. My husband is a talkative person (one of the reasons I love him), and sometimes it's overwhelming when we're disagreeing. Is it wrong that I ask for a break, to cool down, then once I'm calm rewritten to the conversation?

I hope that you have found an answer through prayer ❤ I think it’s absolutely acceptable and correct to express this need to your husband. Following Saint John Chrysostom & Fr. Josiah: tell your husband that you love him very much, and because you love him very much, you don’t want to become so overwhelmed by emotion/heat/pressure of the disagreement & say anything that would hurt him/would not lead to the resolution of the disagreement. I think this also honors the quote; “it is wise to hold the tongue.” Just let your husband know with as much love & calmness as you can muster, that you’re not ready to respond with a clear mind/heart. Prayer with prostrations is great medicine. God sends us great love in all places and if you feel like going outside, I am often comforted by birdsong and sitting near water. Tears are usually what we need instead of expressing anger. ♥️ God Bless you & your husband with many edifying years! 🙏☦️

Father, as a retired US Army Light Infantry Squad Leader, I don't believe in fighting fair.
I'll argue fairly, reasonably, respectfully, debate... but "fight"? I save that for enemies of God and those who mean harm to innocents. I don't "fight" fair because when I "fight," I fight to win, no matter what. It's how I've been trained. It's how I'm wired. That's not the best attitude for dealing with my wife.

My husband retired is a Submarine Comander( only Orthodox in the fleet).
      Need I say more?
He is the 3D chess champion and stealth fighter! He will quietly patiently wait and calculate, wait, and then attack when you least expect it. You never know what happened!😂
