Holy crap that chop/miter saw is terrifying!
Nice work with the cabinet/cart, been on the lookout for a suitable filing cabinet for a while since looking at all these great videos of people converting them.
Thanks, the chop saw has been retired at least for now..
I have used a fold open found drawer file cabinet to hold folded sweaters
That saw sounds scary as hell and I love it. I like your style man lol
Thanks !!
Mate, you’re hilarious, great build!
Thanks!!
Nice box! You still in Brasil?
Them pin holed welds looks great hahaha
Thanks, a few bubbles in the weld is good for weight savings!!
Nice work, that is a beast of a mitre saw!
Thanks, the mitre saw could use a guard!!
I would love to find one of these cabinets
Well that worked out excellent!
Thanks David!!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Really nice build.
Thanks, its a quick solution for those on a budget
I love using filing cabinets to put car parts and shop junk in, theyre cheap and durable.
Ya they are the best cost benifit for storage!!
Nice box
Thanks!
You are so funny omg im ur new fan
Amazing tool box man!!!! Would love to see your approach on a workbench styled box next if your looking for some inspiration for videos, have a great day brother!!!!
Thanks bud, I may end up making a work bench style one yet- currently moving to a much bigger shop and we will need the storage!!
Eu achando que era vídeo gringo e o cara me saca o celular com o site da Loja do Mecânico aberto KKKKKKKKKKKKK que muito foda pqp
Great work. The only problem is caster's cost a fortune in my city or on Amazon
Ya they are pricey, you could just buy the wheels and make the support part by bending up some thick sheet metal.
Add a work table top and it will be 100% ready
I was going to do this, but left it without because I will probably add a small 3 or 5 drawer toolbox on top at some point.
Thanks for watching
Very nice :-)
Thanks bud I liked what ya did with that little filing cabinet table of yours, very cool.
aeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee caralho, adorei ver a loja do mecanico e tu falando "3k reais"! mais um inscrito
A yard sale Stainless steel handle works well and is often $2-3. Also wow them casters look like the cost twice what you paid for the cabinet.
The castors actually cost pretty much the same as I paid for the cabinet. Thanks for watching!!
Hey bro! How does the lock system work? I want to make the key for my toolbox.
The lock tumbler turns a rod which lifts a bar- this bar has slots that align with each drawer so that when it's lifted it holds each drawer closed. Most tool boxes have a similar system.
Thanks for watching!
@@MetalSmithBrazil thank you from Viet Nam👍👍👍
Any idea what that style of file cabinet is called? I've got a couple at work filled with hardware and would like to find more to do something similar with
Not sure on the exact name for this style, but the drawers in this one had inserts to hold letters.
After a quick search this looks to be a "card" style filing cabinet. Thanks for the video and for the comment about it holding letters as that helped me to figure out what they are called rather quickly.
In the dark ages of computer development (1960s-1970s) computer "programs" were run using a series of perforated cardboard cards. The primary producer of "computers" then was IBM and the cards became known as IBM cards. The file cabinets to store the cards in order were thus IBM Card cabinets. They are well made and ideal for hardware and tool storage!!
This guy starts out as an accident looking for a place to happen.... :) :) :)
muitos reais for a F* toolbox (que vai desmanchar muito antes que a super poderosa caseira)
ótima ideia, vem olxzão a salvação
Bem isso!!
tava louco pra pegar um arquivo morto, mas a mulher me cortou as asas
