  • It is a carpentry channel created by an ordinary office worker in the 11th year of architectural design.
    I first encountered woodworking as a hobby in 2019, and I am running a channel while learning little by little.
    Since I have never learned carpentry professionally, there are many things that I lack.
    I'm learning slowly one by one, so please understand.
    Nice to meet you. 😊

    The best bit was the piece at the end which joined both doors together, which I was totally confused about (surely this will lock them) then he uses that as a handle to open both sides at once. Nice.

    Its cool tho

    • @Eytaris
      @Eytaris 2 роки тому +1

      it's nice, but too much wood for my taste. I easily imagine the same with a powder coated metal frame, frosted glass panel, magnet latches and hinges on bearings with, perhaps, friction dampeners for the downward movement, nobody would like their hands getting caught inside this mechanism if they miss the latch, even with the wooden model.
      Plus, a metal construction and hardware, if correctly selected, would be more durable, no hinge breaking before a long time of use :)

    • @Professional_Youtube_Commenter
      @Professional_Youtube_Commenter 2 роки тому

      You don't build this for low maintenance, the more moving parts, more risk of failure. This has a lot of moving parts.
      If your metal hinges are breaking often then the hinges are probably not rated for that weight of door.
      A good specced hinge should last longer than the cupboard.
      That said, good artistic concept, not sure it's worth it if you're not a proficient carpenter with time on their hands.
