Bro I really want to thank you so much for the video. Because of this video you save me tons of money and the knowledge it to get my friends vehicle fixed. God bless you and thanks a million
Great info. I have a customer that has the same problem. Payed a shop and replaced the exact same parts including oil pressure, cam sensors, tranny, throttle body, and throttle position sensor lol. I found three open circuits so far but same problem. Time to look where you found these ones. Thank you for the great video.
I'm glad I watched your video! All I had to was, replug the 5 Volt connection ( just below and to the left of the oil cap ) Then the Reduced Engine Power turned off. Thanks for posting! Thank you for saving me and other Cobalt owners money!! Hayes, keep those Cobalt repair videos coming!
I recently bought an 07 cobalt only has 104 k miles on it and alot of the engine wire harness is just like that car they must’ve used very junky wire loom on these cars mine is all deteriorated the same maybe from all them plastic covers holding in the heat
Gotta get you some Tessa tape! As an interesting note, have you ever had an alternator lock up on a Cobalt? It will actually keep the engine from cranking...First time I saw this I was about to call a locked up motor, but something told me to remove the serpentine belt and turn the crankshaft with a ratchet. Just a word to the wise if you ever run across a "locked up" EcoTech engine
alternators, compressors and sometime power steering pumps are pron to lock ups.. yes, they sound just like a locked up motor.. good find but very common. thats a good lesson you just learned...thumbs up
good video but little bed shaky brother HAYES and when i saw the last code for 5 volt ref circuit performance you naidid check do not guess other thing when i check the DLC pins i use BOB down there it is a tool that will make ur live much easer to check power and ground and communication lines with out damaging the DLC connecter u can buy it cheap on line and hock ur scanner on it too checked up on amazon or eBay. cheeeers from Ontario/Canada.

This looks like savannah ga are you in sav ga i need a good mechanic
Nope. Mississippi
Nice pix of tree can't see anything at all
You have a cell number I have the same problem wt my chevy cobalt 2010 engine power reduced
First
Not your best video. Glare, focus, movement, dirty screen. Didn't need the noisy engine running, while you were looking at those wires.
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed too when I was editing it. :(
