  • In this nifty little video, we talk about Ethernet over Coax. NOT MOCHA !
DO NOT share the coax cable with anything but these devices !
I installed & tested this in my house, and showed some speed tests along with going over specs and best case use for this product !! Recommended YES !

Incredible speed results! Very impressive. Thanks for sharing.

That's pretty cool. That will come in really handy if you're not able to get ethernet where you need it, but there's coax everywhere. Especially when you have fiber internet. Ugh....fiber internet needs to come over to my area already haha. Awesome video, Jason!

Thanks soi much, I was worried how to attach the MOCA device to the splitter outside but since my Verizon box was MOCA compatible, I only needed to use the units around the house. Worked perfectly!

Makes me wish I had Coax to my garage. Using ethernet over powerline and you can't realize these types of speed with that system. Great work!

Thank you, this is one of the only videos i can find that actually shows a long range connection being established. I have Coax Cables wired through out my whole house and was wondering how it would work. Currently we have a xfinity router that uses the Coax for the internet, what would be a better choice of routers for ever router that ive seen has many downsides like not having great length in connectivity or needing multiple access's points around the house that just boost signal but dosent improve download or upload speeds (Basicly what i have now). sorry if this sounds dumb lol

Did this with my fiber connection and best use of our coaxial lines

Don't forget a moca filter (blocker) so the signal does not leave the house. My Comcast Moden has Moca built in and I have a Hitron unit and works perfect.

Nice! Do they 'co-exist' with Moca or are you to disconnect all Moca devices and only use those? (Possible they use a different Freq. / Encoding that will not interfere) **edit just saw the box " not intended ... where Coax is being used ... "

If this does what I think it does, it will be rly useful, I'm travelling to my home country in a couple of weeks and our house doesn't have any ethernet ports, and our wifi sucks, but it does have coax, so this might help a lot.

Thanks! Would these do the opposite as well? I have a TV antenna, no coax in the house, but cat5 ether everywhere. I need to run the TV signal to the other side of the house. Do these things carry OTA tv signal or just internet signal?

Quick follow up on this. 1st off, thanks for posting! 2nd, he's my current set up. Cable provider comes into house on the COAX. I then have to go from COAX to my modem and wireless router. So that's the set up I currently have and I want to come off the COAX in two rooms straight to ethernet. Is one of these sufficient in each room to achieve this goal? Plain and simple, I want to take my son's gaming computer OFF the Wireless and get him wired to the network directly. Appreciate the feedback!

Can use this to simultaneously connect to my Spectrum cable box (coax for cable box) and connect the ethernet to my tv? If it doesn't do that, is there another device that does do it? Thanks in advance.

Based on this note from your link, I will be sticking with MOCA. "Note: The GCA-2000 will coexist with most services such as Broadband, Satellite, and FTTx, however, it is not recommended in environments where Cable Services (Internet/TV) are being used."

pra quem ja possuem a infraestrutura dos cabos coaxiais vale a pena, afinal existem os moca que tem 2 portas 1gb e 2.5gb. Mas para quem for investir os custos podem serem maiores que cat6

Look at Veracity...we use them all the time for POE Ethernet over COAX.. I heard you say in the video you wish it had POE... and you only need power on 1 end with the Veracity... OR you can power the transmitter with POE+ switch in a lot of situations

What do you mean by disconnecting the main ISP?
