Yeah, RNG if they spawn next to you and do something like spawn five eagle warriors and three archers. Speaking from experience here lol I think just giving normal exp or even half should be enough of a buff. Doesn't make sense to just give 1exp after the fifth barb heading to your city.

Pro tip (one that I always forget) is that if you approach enemy territory with your units, and then they ask what all your units are doing.... Is very bad for your reputation. Because you have 2 real choices, say you are just passing and then go to war a few turn later - this is considered breaking an agreement, similar to the 'don't settle near me' agreement and lasts 30 turns. That or you declare war, but it is considered a surprise attack and means you do not use any casus belli. Note that like 5-10 minutes after declaring on Indonesia the entire world hates you....

This is one game where Venetian Arsenal would be awesome. If it didn't come so late. Ok, Babylon could maybe make use if it if they could get the production for it, but most civs have their military finished (with the exception of carriers, and you don't need THAT many carriers), with all that's left being follow up/reinforcing forces.
I've always been hesitant about mods that modify/add new civs. Seeing you play this mod makes me think they might be okay (or at least this one is...). Would love to see some more civs on this mod demonstrated!

Berserkers got nerfed in this mod. Their base combat strength went from 48 to 40. Actually, that's their pre buff level, where they were incredibly pathetic. At least they no longer have a -5 combat strength penalty when defending against melee attacks, for whatever that's worth. Before, a berserker had 58 on the offense, and 43 on the defense. Now, it's 50 on the offense, and 40 on the defense. Not to mention the berserker doesn't suffer a penalty from ranged attacks. In my opinion, this mod sends the berserker back to being pretty much pathetic and no better than the Man-at-Arms they replace save for movement, and I should just get knights instead, because a knight has 50 on the offense AND defense, as well as 4 movement under all conditions. The only thing the berserker has going for him at this point is that at least he can use siege equipment.
