Thank you! Good idea, I might plan a future video on in depth workflow workspace setup. I think it can be interesting to many from the eyes of a well experienced professional painter. Thanks for the input and the feedback!

Hanging overhead LED lighting over my desk was a.game changer. I've still got clip-on ring lights for specific tasks and photography, but the overhead LED bar light was a major improvement.

    Weiterhin alles Gute!

I really love the bright overhead lights you have. I think a lot of us (myself included) have just gotten used to painting under a painting lamp. I was able to turn my daughter's old bedroom into my hobby room and its definitely a work in progress and its actually been a journey for me because for over 10 years I've been painting in a corner of my bedroom, so I'm still not used to going to my hobby room to paint. Thank yo for sharing your studio & workbench evolution, it was wonderful to watch! Happy painting!

I recently tried some of that LED tap light under a wooden shelve but above my paint shelves that hold my paints and it worked great.
Finding your channel and seeing how you set up your lights and plugs makes me want to organize them better. I always have a hard time including the hair dryer when I am working thin and trying to speed up layers.
Like you I do not keep a computer nearby and will rarely sometimes look at a picture for something but I usually don't keep the picture around. I look at it, pick my paints, start up.
I have been painting since the early 90s and took a few years off, 2000 to 2008. When I came back I painted Space Marines, previously I always had the unpopular armies as a kid. Empire, Eldar, Dark Angels (after their popularity waned).
So I thought, why not try the main army (Ultramarines) that has more bits available than any other 40k army. I was tired of fantasy and wanted to really get better and what is better for practice than large flat surfaces.
My career is that of a coder, but I would love to work commissions if my career wasn't so demanding. I don't enter the local paint competitions anymore as I am trying to find pears to get better with and people only compliment my work because I paint for display quality.
Anyway, sorry to ramble. Congratulations on your studio. I have a decent sized one and a paint booth with exhaust in my basement as I live in a Cold High Altitude area so airbrushing and rattlecans would be inconvenient outside. Your studio is inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
If I can ever make it to Europe I will try to make it a time when I can attend a lesson or training session by you.

Open-minded, down-to-earth and open-hearted - thanks, man! This is great stuff and I enjoy these videos a lot. I am thinking about that "wood-construction" around your painting table. Still not figured out how to sell it to my wife as a good idea, but that is part of the studio-shaping-process I guess.
Seppi out - cheers from Berlin to Bavaria!
