Ddj400 is old now and people still trying to sell it at the price of a new flx4😂 this video helped clear up the differences ❤

I like the look of it more, it's kind of 2010ish. I also don't need the extra features on the FLX4. I have also read that the build quality seem to be a bit better on the old ones but not sure.

Love some of those features. Gutted I use serato. Although it is only entry level, you could easily use this on a night working. Great Video as always.

Just bagged a flx4 a few weeks back after my tank-like denon mc4000 gave up the ghost after 8 years. First impressions out the box was what is this cheap kids toy! The build quality seems well below my denon which cost a similar amount. However, since having a good play around with it I love it, combined with algoriddim DJ pro. Not sure about longevity but for an entry level controller it’s brilliant. Fader is nice and smooth, jog wheels feel great for mixing and scratching. Love the effects and the cross fader effect is a nice bonus.
Yes I agree it’s a bit plasticy and not a lot to it in terms of build however it’s great entry level device. Thanks for watching!

Can someone please explain what it means to either use rekordbox or dj serato? Like does the hardware you buy determine the software? And is the FLX4 compatible with both, but the ddj400 only with rekordbox? Is it like a one time use serial number you get with the hardware? How does this software work if you buy the hardware second hand? Hope someone here is able to help😃
So rekordbox and serato are DJ software programmes. The controller you buy simply controls this software, much like how a games console has a controller. Some controllers can only control specific software for example the DDJ 400 can only be used with rekordbox whereby the FLX4 can be used with both serato and rekordbox. For Pioneer DJ they got rid of serial numbers some time ago so the software should work when you plug in the device.

Does flx4 play songs via bluetooth? I have the device but I don't know how to connect it to the large speakers. What is the wire that connects it?
Used ddj400 to play over AirPlay last night. I bet if u hook up to a computer and use that Bluetooth it would work. With airplay there is a fair amount of delay tho.
can we map that mic knob to do something else on flx 4 in rekordbox?

I hate that the flx4 has a usb-c on the back. I just know that it will become loose and disconnect after a while

Can you use Virtual Dj on the ddj 400?
I’m pretty sure you can as virtual DJ is mapped to pretty much any controller on the market!
Is there a way to disable the CFX functions? As in, make the knobs function the same as the DDJ 400?
Yes just don’t press the button and select one of the normal CFX from rekordbox

As I am beginning .... Can I go with FLX4 OR 400
Either are great beginner controllers. I would probably go for the FLX as you can then try with both serato or rekordbox

Beide Controller sind Einsteiger Modelle. Der FLX 4 ist nicht wirklich ein Upgrade zum geliebten DDJ400. Der FLX 4 hat einige neue Funktionen aber ist grundsätzlich das gleiche wie der DDJ400. Wenn man etwas professionelles haben möchte sollte man den Pioneer DDJ800 oder DDJ 1000 kaufen.
Never dj'd ever and thinking about giving it a go. Torn between the FLX4 and the Hercules 500. Thoughts????
Not used the Hercules so can’t really comment on that. Have a look at some reviews of that to compare and decide from there. Thank you for watching 👌🏼

Can you use FLX 4 for playing at large night clubs ?
Of course- you can use any controller however I wouldn’t advise it as the sound card isn’t as good as what you will find in more expensive units.

No tech is future proof as new products are always being released onto the market. It’s newer than the ddj-400 however
Should I go for Hercules impulse 500 or FLX4 ? My motive is to play in clubs as well music production.
