Nice review. Unfortunately the prices for sim racing equipment always show you how niche it is. It's about time Aldi, Lidl and IKEA start producing wheels, shifters, pedals and cockpits. 😉
First up shop around and you can get this for $699. Oh and the alternatives suggested by others like the SIMLAB are just the frame. Add on the seat, seat bracket, shifter platform and pedal mount and its over $1000!!!!!!!!!
@@kevintjahjadi8994 Prices have gone up but one of the better deals I just found is linked here (£569 is about $756). www.computersdeal.co.uk/next-level-racing-gttrack-racing-seat.html
It would be cheaper to get the Next level Racing WS 2.0/DD wheel stand, then add the GTseat addon which is essentially the GTtrack cockpit but for $150-200 less
@@quad.damaged2032 I could only go by what I have, so when it comes to the price and rigidity thats strong enough to handle a DD and you don't have to worry about it flexin and able to upgraded with the GTseat then can't go wrong with the NLR WS 2.0 which I have or the NLR WS DD. I use my computer chair with a buttkicker on it, and later I'll get the GTseat.. my setup is the fanatec DD pro premium with the 8nm base, ebrake. I love it, even with all that torque there's no flex is very rigid
thoughts price/performance between the f/gt and gt track in the gt position?? wheel is a gt dd pro 8nm probably with load cell . i would toss the casters on either of them. thanks
so if you were looking at - say this or the F-GT, but on a relative budget, would you recommend the F-GT? i have no need for motion so that point is kinda moot for me.
Great video! Forgive my ignorance, but is the inclusion of add ons in the pro category referring to stuff like the seat belts, or is there more stuff available for the cockpit?
I currently run a Fanatec CSL Elite wheel and pedal set with load cell on my home made set up. I will eventually add a shifter. I only play PS4 (no PC), Gran Turismo, F1, the usual. I am looking to purchase a cockpit in the $500-$1000 range and have looked at both the F-GT and the GTTrack. I will do 99% of my driving in the GT position so the ability to switch to the f1 position with the F-GT isnt a big sell for me. What I care about is FLEX. I can't stand it. Secondly, ergonomics, 6'0, 220lbs. So, which would you buy? Or....what would you buy instead for under a grand? 1 last question, is the buttkicker gamer 2 worth it for just PS4 use? Appreciate the help, so many choices, no way to try them out.
NLR GT Track is a solid cockpit, with not too much flex. However, for the $500-$1,000 budget, I'd look into getting an 80/20 based Aluminum Extrusion cockpit (Check my reviews on the Sim-Lab GT1 Evo, as that would likely be more than enough for you, and it starts at roughly 400 Euros without a seat). The beauty of 80/20 is that it's totally modular, you can fine tune it to fit your exact seating position. It takes a little more time to build, but it's almost like a giant Lego set, and it's rewarding to see it come together!
@@Simracingpaddock Super cool, thank you for the feedback! After I posted last night I did more research and for the price point, landed on the GT1 Evo or the Rseat S1. I can get the S1 delivered to my house for under a grand. For that money would you go with a S1 or build the GT1 Evo? If GT1, which seat/bracket/slider would you reccomend for guys with our build. Truly appreciate your insights, GREAT channel!
In Australia it's $999 the thrustmastef gt sport wheel is $1200, I've got the money to buy them but i also think it's a bit steep in price and holding off, the problem is there isn't many cheaper options unless going back to the t300 wheel which i don't wanna do.
@@ernestmuric6719 for the first 8 months or so I'll be driving on ps4, hence why i was steering towards the gt sport, the fanatec DD wheels are $2500 at least, to much to pay, because of work commitments i can't race as much as i would like and will miss alot of events. I just wanna set up a mid range setup for now.
Not really too much. I've tested this recently and I'm only ~5kg heavier than you at the time of me testing. It's more up to the thickness and quality of the brackets
Agree. I ditched my NLR GT Ultimate and bought the Simetik. Fit the GT Ulitimate seat on it and love it. The Simetik is bomb proof. I drive with a protosimtech pedal/CSW wheel base with no flex at all while my old NLR GT rig feels like wet noodles.
Buy a simlab. Do not pass go. Next level is entrt level at premium price. I do like the seat mover thing though. Like it better if it was 899. Imagine how many they would sell at that price point?
Way over priced for what it is. I would get an RS1/S1/N1 or SIMLAB P1 for comparable price and greater quality. Too many points of failure over time. It should be better priced as an entry level cockpit, $300-$400 at most.
The gt track is a much better rig than the gt ultimate, way more sturdy, sturdy enough for a direct drive wheel, where the gt ultimate can't hold a direct drive wheel, the pedal plate is also more sturdy, in Australia they cost the same, i was happy with the gt ultimate, however the gt track is better in everyway. Just my opinion.
Strange, I recently bought one and it was also $899 but in Aussie dollarydoos. As an example, a GTX 2080ti will cost between $1900 and $2500 so $899 for a solid Rig is chicken feed, I can't imagine why ya'll are paying so much for them.

Not sure if worth mentioning but NLR has some of the best customer support I’ve ever worked with tbh.

Where did you find this for $699? The cheapest I’ve seen so far is $845

I'm considering purchasing that combo. Is there anything that justifies the higher price of the GT Track??
@@quad.damaged2032 GTtrack has the red seat belt harness, aside from that it's the same thing
Do have any cockpit suggestions around the same price point? This seems to be the most appealing choice

Dave6767 fellow aussie here. I'm in the same boat. And I'm just waiting to see how fanatec dd wheels hold up when they get reviewed.
My next Cockpit review will be the Trak Racer RS6 Mk 2, which is located out of Australia, I'll see how sturdy it is

What would you recommend as an alternative for $900?
I do not get it. Front part is 200$. Then is the seat alone 700$?

What was the seat width like for your build? As a bigger dude I'm wondering if the standard seat is good to go or will need to go custo.

Yeah, but you don't even get a seat with the Simetik K2
I’m so torn between this and the Rseat RS1
I have about an hour experience with the RS1, but from my personal experience, this was more stable than that.

I was waiting on the GT Track but got a GT1 Evo based on SRP's review and most people's recommandation. I do not regret my choice
Exactly
I dont know if it was different two years ago, but today the prices are not comparable. The N1 costs twice as much as the GT Track.

From your arms it looks like your force feedback is turned completely off, which makes me wonder if it is to not show the wheel deck shaking??
Imo an 800 dollar rig should be tested with a direct drive wheel. Other than that good review.
And in my case the holes under the seat doesn’t align with the holes on top of the V3 motion platform...how bullshit is this!??
Overtightened?
overpriced. just buy a 8020 rig from 4 play or even simlab. seems like a lot of flex
keep in mind it has the seat included so it's so bad at all....
Flip flops with socks
This cockpit seems cheap compared to the Playseat cockpits
*overpriced*
