It's so refreshing to see a genius and arguably one of the best flamenco guitarist is so humble and down to earth. Humility is the greatest lesson to learn from you.
I first heard you about 10 years ago on a video and was so amazed by your fluency in flamenco. I never forgot your name since then. I hope to see your channel grow as I watch every video you make. Even though I don't play flamenco. My jazz guitar lecturer at university is a flamenco player, so I can appreciate the style. He is my idol and you are too, as I think you are the a world leader in your field. As well as Sulvain luc and Birelli Lagrene. Also, I'm really enjoying your videos on rhythm and chords. Finally someone is clearing that up for us all. Thank you so much for your effort, Grisha.
Grisha , you are such a generous, wonderful, genuine person. Your lessons and advice are incredibly helpful and very much appreciated. .... and that’s coming from a bassist, not guitarist :) Your playing is absolutely outstanding. Огромное спасибо!!!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You are one of the reasons why I picked up flamenco and it has been a beautiful journey so far. I know many more will be inspired by your work and kindness! Looking forward to your next video. Gracias.
Maestro you are such a genuine and humble soul and giving us your precious time in making all these lessons for us. And one cannot be good at everything and that's fine. But what you do playing flamenco is just jaw dropping good. Since I heard you first time and since that day I listen to you everyday. And you deserve all the credit for your hardwork. You are loved 🤗 thank you. Olèee ❤
Your voice is so soothing. Honestly if I ever get the chance you're the teacher that I would pick, without a second thought. Thank you for devoting your time on this channel.
We thank you many times as well!! :) You re so humble!..Even taking the time to answer comments in a video!! Bravo..i m getting to change my technical approach on scales just because your videos...! I saw how Matt Palmer developed the 3 fingers scales for classical and even wrote a short manual about it.. Katona twins mention it in their masterclasses.. I m not appreciating at its right value the flamencos tutorials, as i m not a flamenco player, but many people love them too..!just keep on the amazing work and i m sending your links to everyone!! Grisha, there are many wonderful guitarists in the world. And then, there's you!!! :) I remember when I first chanced upon one of your videos, and was totally blown away by your playing, I thought that if John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucia were one person, you would be that person. And you are. Spaciba!!!
I couldn't be more thrilled to see you are improving your channel and posting more often! I've played electric guitar for many years now and recently - in the last three months or so - I've really been getting into learning flamenco, so I'm still finding out about the great artists in this genre out there. First heard about you when I was searching for Paco de Lucía's Almoraima performances, and yours for the Guitar Salon is just mindblowing! These videos with tutorials and tips have been very helpful, thank you so much for taking your time to upload new content. Greetings from Brazil and keep up the amazing work!
You can generally fix your interference problem with shielding, chokes and bypass capacitors. Your local music store should be able to get some help for you. If not, your local amateur radio club knows exactly what to do because they fight radio interference a lot and know how to fix it. If you are using cheap equipment it can be the culprit. You have to start with quality equipment. I wish I was there to help.
Hi Grisha, I’ve been following you for a while now and I really admire you. Great player with a great personality! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing these amazing videos. Abrazos!
These kinds videos are also awesome! I would like to hear about your childhood and your father's lesson, like what kind of repertory, daily routine, the firsts technic developments and so on...
Отличное видео, Гриша! Полагаю, что радионаводки лезут через микрофонный шнур, который в этом случае выполняет роль антенны. Возможно, экранированный кабель будет решением.
Do to know of Jose Motos a golden age Flemenco player from Spain? He preceded Paco and would have been as famous as Sabicas but he died young. He's was the best of very strong traditional players, a heart of the Spanish people..
Hello Grisha ... I hope I could connect and take some lessons from you in the near future .. I got my degree in music 20 years ago and been teaching guitar since then .... I got serious about flamenco 7 years ago and started taking lessons ... anyway at the moment I am busy with my own guitar/piano students but hope to take at least a few lessons from you at some point. Thanks all your informative instructions and videos.
Grisha, have you played a Ariel Ameijenda guitar? He made a guitar called Confessional, made with an Alerce Soundboard and CSA Rosewood back. Brendon Grabowski played it in a video. The tone was exquisite! Would love to hear you play one!!
Great video Grisha. I really would like to ear you about reaguados. The different type and mostly how to pratice them to achieve speed and evenness. Thank's
Спасибо, Мистер Горячев! Желаю вам развития Вашего канала. С развитием можно будет спокойно нанять людей, которые записали бы для Вас репертуар в нотах и табах, монтажеров, операторов и дизайнеров. Желаю успехов!)
Hello Grysha, you're awesome, i wonder if you play "virgen de amor" from paco de lucia, i'm learning it at the moment, but i don't see any illustration with only one guitar, it would be really usefull for me to see a good player like you playing it :)
I have a question Do I actually need a flamenco guitar method or something like this? Becurse I'm very obsessed with flamenco and I really wanna become a good flamenco player. And thank you very much Grisha for your videos they are very helpful😘
Please shed light into your classical guitar repertoire. Maybe talk about your transcriptions? Are you still planning on to play both flamenco and classical in the same concert? In one interview you mentioned this, and said you were thinking about it, but there is the difficulty of them requiring different nails. Have you figured this out yet, and are you going to attempt this at some point?
Fantastic bro. I can see you developing a really great channel. If you have the time, I recommend you take a look at the channels of Sam Griffin and Beyond the Guitar (Nathan Mills). Two of the best guitarist channels. Obviously your style and playing is very different, but if you are looking for ideas on presentation, video production, content, monetization, etc., Sam and Nathan's channels might be a good reference.
I love your modest as much as your playing flamenco like most of your subscribers. There is one thing that I wonder: When you perform some Sabicas' pieces you strum the strings much harder at rasgueados then the Sabicas. As far as I can hear he was playing with a little bit softly touches. Am I wrong? And a request.. I know that you're in US but please tell Putin to end his politic life. :) He may listen to you. I'm pretty sure that there are many people -except Putin in Russia that can lead the Russian people. I'm from Turkey and I'll say to ours, too. :)) With all my respect...
Thank you Master! I ask myself a question : do masters like you hear the rhythm/compas in Paco solo tunes, in other words : is it mandatory to identify the type of rhythm (with the numbers) used, before trying to play/transcribe a solo ? I will try to figure it out; Thanks again I can't stop to watch and listen to Paco documents and interviews since a few days. Have a nice day !
Did you go to the conservatory while working full time? And can you really learn flamenco melodies only by ear? 😱 Whitout any other references?!? If so, please tell me that after a lot of ear training and music study
I would like ro ask you about your nails how do shape them , are they long or short ? , cause i heard in modern flamenco they should short? I ll appriciate if answer , cause i m always suffering from that
How many hours do you practice each day? Do you practice slowly and fast each day or do you have days of only slow practice? (a normal day, without sore hands)
Hi Grisha. I have just learned this two picados of Paco you shown in your video , the short one that i believe starts on 8th bit and last not on 10th, but the long picado i start on 6th and i play in triplets and finish with b-flat on 10th bit, i can play this one with four notes per bit bu does not sounds right, could you respond to this, thank you and i really enjoy watching your videos, you are great man.
If you are talking about buleria runs, then the first starts on 1 and ends on 6, the second on 7 and ends on 12, the third on 1 and ends on 6. They have 3 notes per beat.
one more info for you if have not heard it, there is excellent web side tabsflamenco.com. His name is Richard Kozma and i believe hi lives in Omaha, Ne, I have been using his tabs for years and they are in most cases very correct. Thanks again and good luck.

A trick : you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Neil Jamie Yea, been using Flixzone} for since december myself :D
@Neil Jamie Yea, I have been watching on flixzone} for years myself =)
You are a very nice guy and an outstanding player.
I think you are the best flamenco guitarist performing today. You also seem to be a very nice person.
Typing fast is actually easy, just do your picados on the keyboard.
Just be thankful that you getting some lessons .

The first time I saw you playing was watching your studio version of Sabicas's Bulerias .. such a powerful an emotionally charged performance.
Learning by ear is great and even better when you can see the hands plying it. You can also slow down UA-cam videos to learn. It has helped me a lot.
