Correction of the correction : it's not a "copy" of the Aria, it's a shared industrial process, because it's the exact same body than the Aria Detroit (look at all the specs they're exactly the same, from woods, to parts, to finishes). And who would want to "copy" such an obscure and low level brand and bass today ?!! Look bro, I have an Aria 313 copy, I'm a winner !! 🤣hahaha. It's pretty sure that the body is made in the same factory for Aria and Benton, and Benton put their own neck on it. And I'm not sure about this but it's much more an inspiration of a F Bass VF serie for me (which is a far more clever model to copy !! they only didn't copied the low horn, because they would have risked legal issue I think).
I feel the urge to get one of those and change the pickguard and hardware for gold ones. I always wanted a blue and gold bass to match the colours of the team I support
I have the PJ version of this bass (JP-45OP Sunburst) and I can attest that it's a very good bass for the money (at least after adding a decent set of strings and doing a setup).
Welcome to the unbelievable world of harley benton (sold all of my old "famous brands" guitars and basses, and only have HB today and I've earned/saved thousands of euros and still have great music instruments ;-)
These bass's are getting good reviews from all who have given it a demo. HB is a game changer for all brands making inexpensive guitars. When I started playing this much money would get you a none tunable warped neck and never active elec. Stay healthy G.
No kidding. I remember my first bass was an old early 2000s Squier PJ and it had the worst, most non-reparable setup I've ever seen on a bass lol. I tried everything to make it better and couldn't. Budget instruments have come really far.
I just got two HB basses (this and the short scale, both in sunburst). I ripped out all the electronics and installed a Bartolini set with passive electronics. Been having trouble getting the action right, but it still plays very well. The short scale got rewired in series vs. the parallel wiring it had. Just cut two wires and solder them together! Tape them, even! I just wished HB sold replacement pick guards so I can turn it into a PJ bass.
Lol, I just received the 5 string version in white just about 2 hours sooner than the video. I really like it, no neckdive, nice quality. I feel the pickups are a little weak, and theres a lot of string buzz, but my original idea with this was to make it a "project-bass" anyway so I ordered EMG pickups already. Gona change the bridge and the tuners too, and give it a nice setup, it'll be perfect (hopefully)
@@rockereivanivan Sorry, I don't have the tech to record a quality video with good sound, but I'll try to explain the differences in a comment once I'm done with the upgrade (~2 weeks because the pickups are not in stock at the moment)
For some strange reason, these new HBs do not grow on me. Although they have some good specs and the price is very affordable, they have that cheap looking with low quality parts and they sound very, very thin. IMO they should have gone with the Enhanced series quality and provide there these specs (roasted maple etc)
It's a 200 dollar bass.... it'll never be perfect. Fret work takes time, which equals higher cost. This would be great for someone who is trying bass out and doesn't want to commit big dollars until they try it out for a bit.
Minor correction: it is not an original design, it is an Aria 313 copy.
exactly. only difference is the headstock (probably better for the balance)

It also has looks of the conklin sidewinder. Love it.

I really like the aesthetics of the bass - even the pickguard :)
Might be a good cheap platform for modification/upgrade.
Thats me on a shirt. AMAZING!! Best line ever 🤣🤣

Lens is an absolute monster player, I could listen to him thump away all day.
The P-bass version has a Wilkinson bridge and the p-bass pickup is killer!
Put it Lars’ hand, and he’ll make it a beast! Bass already sounds great for the money!
Brilliant playing by Lars, as always
Pretty amazing for the price. Excellent presence and tone. Top quality woods especially roasted maple! What?!

Hey Gregor, great to see you in good health 😊
A video on a five string JP would be great!

HB never ceases to amaze me with the quality of their instruments for such reasonable prices
Awesome funkayyy skillz the the bass! Nice tones.🎸
Bjutiful Solo !

Please upload a video
For that price, the bass is actually amazingly good. I also got the 5'er, took off the pickguard, and put on DR Pure Blues - such a fun bass!!

I would love to see you try out the JP-55OP in white because I've had my eye on it for few days, but want to hear it first.
That’s exactly the same bass as 5string. We‘ll probably rather demo the P version next
Harley Benton stepping up their game. Not bad for the price.
The real issue is the scarf joint: an inexpensive method to make angled headstock and also the first neck breaking point.
These as a six string would be so killer. Maybe even fretless.
I've got the five string and it's a monster
@@Matt-ig4yk Can you write me the Name of the 5-string Version? Is IT still available?
JJ 505. Yes it's on Thomann
LARS WHEN YOU ARE DONE PLEASE SEND THAT BASS TO ME, OKAY
I WILL KEEP IT COMPANY
"Bass the world
Make it a better place"
Nice sounds !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Great picking player!
Body - Fbass + Yamaha SuperBass, headstock - Ibanez ATK
What is the tune for the solo sound a 2:26? I really like it. Thanks
D
I guess I need to check these guys out. Seems like their putting together a nice bass now. Thank's.
What is the title of the piece(song)?
2nd to the last that he played? Pls.?
I really want you to demo the PJ 5 string, that's the one I've been looking at
WOWW
What bass would you say it's better? JJ-45OP or Jb-75?
Wooow...how much dollars or euro for this bassguitar?
👍👍👍👍 The challenge for @Lars Lehmann - Bassplayer is to work on duplicating those fantastic Frank Itt facial contortions. 😀
They're all based on Aria Pro but with different headstock.
It’s a refreshing change from most everyone copying the tired (but well loved) old Fender shapes.
why don't we ever see/hear you playing gregor?

Wow there was a Bobby Vega-ish moment there 😮
how can i buy one of these bass im in usa
Thomann ships to the US

Harley Benton JP-55OP
In der passiven Version
Of course, I thought this was an Aria to begin with.
💙👊😎
Esse baixista que toca num é o cara que tocava na rua ?
When will the lefties be available?
I paid more for my worming body then I had to stain and finish + everything else
With great weight comes great sustainability? Eh? XD
Aha....😏
you shure get a lot of weight for the money; love this Aria copy; I will get one!
Sadly it's not an original design, it's a really shameless copy of an Aria.
