@@leepek3575 I've been away for a week so I haven't had a chance to play it much yet but based on first impressions: It's bloody amazing! Build quality is superb and it looks absolutely gorgeous (and I'm picky, I have previously ordered a HB Enhanced MP-4EB which I sent back because I wasn't satisfied). The neck feels so nice and soft and the body feels just the right weight and resonant to me. I can just sit and admire the wood grain on both. On mine the grain on the headstock even follows its shape like it was an intentional design feature. Truly a beautiful instrument. I can't give a verdict on sound yet since I have yet to plug it into a good amp but all knobs feel nice and everything seems to work well. Probably the most generic/standard parts are the tuners, bridge and pickups but I can't fault anything yet. I'll raise the pickups, lower the action a bit, put a set of my favorite strings on it and probably just be happy and keep it for life. I honestly feel like I got lucky with this one. If I want to go feinschmecker I could always upgrade a few parts down the line.
I’m a high end kind of guy when it comes to basses; but I think Harley Benton has a “HIT” with these babies! For the money these can’t be beat! You can play them as is or do a ‘mod’ on them if preferred. Love that wood grain on the natural finish! As far as the pickguard I would get a custom clear pickguard on that natural (just being daring) finish. Great bass for the money! Nice Job HB!😀🎶👍🏾

actually i like the pickguards. they give the basses a classic style without looking too much like a preci or jazz... without pickguards they would just get lost in the mass of modern basses.

My JJ has arrived! My 1st impressions: - Beautyful texture, single piece wood body. - The neck pu sounds lively, natural, the bridge pu is not my dear. - The bridge required setting, the octaves were not exact out of the box. (Not a problem, 5 minutes' work) - Mine is natural color. The surface is quite scratch sensitive. The plastic zipper of my jacket scratched it. - The body-neck balance is fine, the instrument does not nodding. - The neck is perfect, the joint is precise, strong. Fretwork is good enough. - The electronics inside the rear cavity is cheap, pu wires are not shielded. The cavity itself is conductive painted. - All in all, l am happy with it. Very good price-value ratio.

Order from Thomann online. I ordered on a Saturday night and received in California from Germany on Thursday. $199 for the white jj55 and $75 for shipping!
The JP has a wilkinson bridge with brass saddles and no active Treble/Bass Boost. The JJ has a generic bridge and active electronics. I checked the prices also. The JJ is cheaper than the JP!!! Maybe is the Wilkinson bridge.

Wow...it is very interesting the position of de JJ pickup's. It seemed that de Bridge pickup is like de 60s style, than the spacing between de the bridge and neck pickup like 70s...and than the position of the Neck pickup so closed to the fretboard!!! I don't see any technical specifications on the Thomann Website of the spacing and position of the pickups. You really need to sort your quality control out. The one I received was a complete mess, the action was high at the bridge but there was fret buzz at the top of the neck, the white finish had started to yellow in weird small spots, had a couple of sharp fret ends, there was a buzz when not touching something metal, the nut hadn't been glued on and the bridge says Wilkinson on it but is of a lower quality than the one on another bass I have... At the price I'm not expecting perfection, but what you do risk is selling something nearly unplayable to someone who wants to learn and completely putting them off
