The had to share the stage during the Queen Mary challenge. Sally had to hijack the Forrester AFA show, when she debuted Anthony in 1994. Ridge's first showing for Spectra Fashions happened off camera. That should've been a real moment for Spectra and Ridge. Sally and co desrve better than this.
Yes. I would have loved if Sally would have gotten her moment finally. But Sally shouldn't be surprised. Ridge hasn't spent one minute with them in Italy.

Neither man can acknowledge his loss, but must bear it alone.
Sally doesn't want to leave Portofino empty-handed - and yet that is what she will have to do. She doesn't get the trophy because Ridge surrendered it to his father, and she doesn't get her daughter because Macy surrendered herself to _her_ father.
Sally: _We came all the way to Italy for a moment of truth and a moment of triumph and Ridge turned it into a Forrester family love fest. I swear I don't know what got into that man_ The main reason that Sally sold her company had been her wish for vengeance and that Brooke and the Forresters would pay for Macy's death and that SF would for once win over the FC . Now Sally for the second time can't really enjoy a business success and a win over FC. But at least Sally has learned that her daughter is still alive.
In this episode, we have Macy and _three_ men who are trying to tell her what to do with her life, showing how little independent agency she really has in this storyline - her only choice is to decide _whose_ stage directions she should follow. When it's just Thorne and Lorenzo, the choice seems like it could go either way as their influence on her is evenly balanced. But as soon as Adam shows up, Macy immediately follows him without questions or objections, like an obedient child. We realize that this dynamic, Adam's influence over Macy, is what made it possible for him to keep her from returning to LA all this time. Even now, it's clear that she doesn't really _want_ to go with Adam and Lorenzo, but she is doing it anyway because her father tells her to. It's as if because Macy was a child when Adam first left her, she regresses to that age when she is with him, even calling him "Daddy".
Not Lorenzo telling Macy.. If you have to stand on your own, come with MEEEEE. OK, Omar 🙄 But I have to say, lorrenzo is making some good points here. Bc this Thorne really has no real happy history with Macy. Thorne 2 had the queen Mary romance meeting and giving up his job at Forrester to sing with Macy. And breaking outta jail to help get her away from Anthony. I find myself going.. Yeah Macy.. This Thorne is trash. Lol

On the other hand, we have "if you come with me, I will try not to repeat the mistakes I have been repeating all along up until this point." If the whole point of keeping Macy away from her home and her family is so that she will not go back to Thorne and get hurt by him again, the solution is obvious. Send Macy home with her mother and have Adam and Lorenzo take _Thorne_ with them as they go into hiding. Nobody in his family will miss him anyway.

Those were awful weather conditions in Italy probably back then. I caught them pretending to be outside on multiple occasions. On the supposed balcony while Darla and Sally were having scenes, and the scenes at the beginning of this episode weren't taped outside truly either. I'm guessing green screens couldn't have filters back then. It looks faker than fake.
All of that and in a few years massimo leaves and never comes back to "his precious family with his two sons and grandkids" and has no one to.contiune the Legacy. Another character that gets into the orbit of the Hoegan and gets corrupted and destroyed by them and loses everything because of them.
Well when he left he and Nick already disowned each other but he still had ridge and his grandkids. I hate the way the writers wasted time introducing the Marones and have ridge be one then in a few years write them out and have them act like it never happened and ridge was always part of the Forresters.
I also think he is moving way too fast with Brooke and hasn’t even taken the time to process Taylor’s death. If I was Taylor, I would’ve dumped his ass as soon as she found out he had a son with Brooke while she was gone. She could’ve done so much better than Ridge. She ended up losing him anyways. Ridge and Brooke are such hypocrites. She tried to tell Ridge about James. At least her intention was to tell the truth. I don’t care if he didn’t find out years later. She still has integrity and never slept with her daughter’s husband 2Xs. Absolutely ridiculous what they turned her character into when she came back 😢.

Deciding to keep her away from her mother and have Sally think her daughter was dead wasn't very nice. But I suppose Macy needed the break from LA to be able to recover from her drinking.
