In this video I cover the Samsung Galaxy Tab S pen, by going over what my experience has been like using this tablet stylus or Tab Spen. I have used many tablet pens and pencils/stylus, and have also been a long time Samsung S Pen user.
I have experienced anywhere from the small samsung s pen from the galaxy note series s pen, to the galaxy tablets s pens.
They are all different s Pens but and will last according to your usage. It is important to stretch the life of these pencils by properly maintaining not only the tablet stylus itself, but also the tablet.

They should have included it for the price, my tab s8+'s s pen tip broke down and it is an awful experience to buy new tips cause they are expensive

For anyone still looking for a replacement, don't go for the plastic nibs. They last me around 2 hours of making notes with paperfeel screen protector. Instead, try the staedtler noris nibs for their stylus. They last for months of use, and feel really soft, like the original spen nib. Even with the matte screen protector.

@@angelinaramos6783 They snap a lot easier than the others, though it still takes a long time and it's not a hard break, so if you change it when that happens it won't get stuck or anything. One pack lasts a year for me, and I do digital painting with a lot of using pen pressure.

Yeah its a good pen as long as i dont drop it at all, i also ordered the spen tips for my s6 lite from amazon like u have advised me recently and its latency is back to normal again, thanks alot ,awesome video as usual man, wishing you a great day :D

I be really worried about my S pen lol probably it's just my mind, I don't press too hard or go really hard with using it, especially because no extra tips came in the box.
Me too haha I got it a few days ago and I don't wanna buy a new one because it has a harder tip, so i'm gonna treat it like a baby more than the tablet itself lol

Should I use a screen protector or not ? if yes then which one?
Like the Title as I was searching something like this (durability of s-pen nib/tip) from a long time before buying s6 lite tablet for making notes.
I find ur vids very informative ❤️. Cud u help me out with this pls. As u mentioned the nibs wean off if used on a screen protector, so can we just do away with the screen protector? What's ur take on it? Is screen protector really necessary? There's anyways a case to cover the tab all the time.

Are all S pen replacement tips the same, or do I need to get only ones specific to the S6 lite, which is the tablet I own?
Probably only for the s6 lite if you can find them.
As getting the actual s6 nibs, you would have to get the s6 tablet pen. Because they all have different nibs and shaped pencils

Any recommendations on what are some good amazon tips because all the ones I have found seem kinda shady, like they don't work that well at least from the reviews. But I may be wrong about that
I'm not a heavy s-pen user I just need one to sign documents on occasion. Very informative. I'm going to definitely get the S6 lite. Really appreciate your help(videos). I love using note taking apps. I can't write nicely if it meant saving my own life. 😬
How long did your s-pen last? Got my S6 Lite back in November (or October?) Of 2022. I draw a lot, so I have a feeling I'll be buying a replacement soon (or maybe just the nibs).

I had one of those paper feel screen protectors on as I thought it would feel nice to have it similar to a paper diary. Since watching your video, I have removed that screen protector. Is there a screen protector you would recommend?

A question: I'm currently working with no screen protector on my tab s6 lite and I'm searching for a good cleaning kit/fluid. Is there something I should be aware about? Things that could damage the pen pressure or screen? (it's my first tablet with an active pen so I'm pretty worried).
any difference in latency gap in s pen of s7 FE vs. S7+ ??
(as there's big difference in refresh rate in those two)
Note: If you bite the back of the pen too much, the top of the pen's top will actually become removable and can actually somewhat break it

i got my tab s6 lite a few weeks ago and i got a tempered glass for it. glad that i did. i was planning on using a paper-like screen protector as well but got tempered glass instead. i write and draw with my s pen all the time and i'm starting to get wary of the pen's durability. i hope it lasts until the end of the semester at least. thanks for this review tho !!

@@st3951 it's fine ig haha its been 3 months and it's still working. the tip still hasnt frayed yet even after heavy drawing and writing.
do you experience any clicky nib? ive literally only used this one for a few days but the nib started clicking whenever i press it down to write. im a light writer btw, i dont press down hard when writing

Hello man. I got the s6 lite and one day i accidentally dropped the s pen. Idk where the part of it landed on the carpet from my couch. but i am afraid if the piece of metal inside the pen would be broken. Now the cursor is offset a bit from the right of the pen tip. Do samsung stores offer pen replacement too?

The logic says: Hey that pen may scratch your screen... You better put a screen protector.
The reality: You need to protect the pen from the glass...
that sound of scratching of Spen on screen protector is not becoz of the friction. it is the inbuilt sound from speaker whenever u use spen on Samsung note app

Have into consideration those little accidents we all have....one mistake and this pen is done! few days after I bought it, I accidentally dropped it from my desk and it was done. The tip broke, I don't even understand how the impact broke that thing, but my Wacom pen AND even normal pencils have taken a lot more hits than that and still good to go before needing a sharpener
Mine broke from taking it in and out of the holder on my tablet case the day I got it! I ended up ordering new tips for $2 because I don't want to go through the hassle of trying to return it

@@cynthiaosunwa9120 I recommend getting the Wacom One pen, that thing is a tank! and it works perfectly on this tablet. Although I'm not sure how it works with newer versions. But if you have the S7 model, then I recommend the Wacom One pen

There's a study-tube channel who uses the Samsung Tab S6 lite. She said that the matte screen protector caused the S pen's nib to breakdown in just a month or two? So, I suppose it matters a lot that the screen protector isn't one that is matte when using with the S pen.

Video is great but you should have mentioned how finding OEM nibs is close to imposible. Not to mention that the nibs on Amazon are not made of the same material. Those are made of hard plastics and don't have the soft tip of the original ones..
Big tip don't get a plastic screen protector especially the one attached to rugged cases don't get em I have personal experience no matter what the plastic screen is gonna get big scratches over time and it's gonna mess up your nib

The part around the nib of my s6 pen has broken multiple times, leading to me supergluing it together again and again. Now the nib has snapped, leaving the stem stuck in the body indefinitely. The durability of the tab s6s S Pen is atrocious and Samsung has already stopped making them, forcing me to buy from a competitor. I'm glad they removed the stepped design and went back to the smooth curve leading to the nib, it's more durable and allows for steeper angles for shading
Is that screen protector one of those paperlike/ matte ones?? Ppl seem to be having some real problems with those recently. Like going through a rubber cap on an apple pencil weekly and stuff. I got myself a glass screen protector (cygnett I'm pretty sure) for my s6 lite.

Mine got broken within a week. I bought another nib from Amazon and it also broke and stuck inside the pen. I damage the pen trying to get the broken nib and now it doesn’t work

Generally speaking, the S6 S pen is a better pen in terms of features (I personally prefer the S6 Lite’s pen because of the shape), if you don’t mind the squares off shape of the S6 S pen, I would say stick with it and don’t buy the one for the S6 lite. Just replace the nibs

Im a student and i use my samsung tab s7 fe more frequently especially when taking notes and doing Engineering tutorials .... My tablet also has a tempered glass screen protector however it is a bit smooth ...so my question is does it really matter that much when you use the s pen on a naked screen than on a screen protector, should you change the nib of the s pen to something that suits this ?

As an artist I wuld like to describe the thing like that:
If you draw/sculpt a lot on a device you have to make a descision:
Let's imagine you want to be expressive , you would be use a 2B pencil on a grainy, more weight quality paper insted on a casual printer paper. You'll see the pencil will waaay more wear out. You will have to sharpen the pencil way more often to create these darker, more expressive lines. Simple like that.
With matte screen protectors which are simulating quality paper beside of protection and antiglare, its the same.
You will have to buy yourself more tools like pencils.
I know that and every craftsman knows the cost of quality tools.
I use and WILL use a matte screenprotector giving me a better FEELING and even sound of a better grip. Its simply feels better.
If only i knew my screen protector would damage my s pen nib.. i should have think 2x! 😅 paper like texture, same as urs. So, for new user of s7 tab. Take note on this one. ☺️

Yea, I went with the matte one on my s7, bad decision. My other tablets just have normal ones and they’re fine

Its strange that samsung doesn't sell replacement nibs for their infamous spen. This is really sad.
Samsung does sell them i think. I have bought a bunch myself. You have to apply for them in their service centers. They cost me around Rs100 (INR) for a pair

Oookay then, after watching this Imma use my S Pen rarely now, and use a different stylus or either a Drawing tablet ( Those Tablets without screens, just a tablet and a pen ) so I don't have to change the tip frequently
For me, the tab s7 is slightly too expensive and the tab s6 lite is well... exynos based and under powered for my liking. Should I buy the s6 lite or will there be a lite version of s7 soon enough?

Samsung dont extend de garanty to s pen, they always say it was bad use, even if it was not.
i use the s pen(s6 lite) very frequently by that i mean everyday for notetaking the original nib got worn out in like less than a month but then i had spare nibs of note8 and it ïs going on pretty well
i would suggest to but tab s6 replacement tips when you order your tab ......s6 lite doesn't have extra nibs in the box

@@doodle3984 samsung doesnt provide nibs specifically for s6 lite ...but you can buy those which are for tab s6 or if you have any galaxy note device you can use the nibs provided for that
