The late Prince of the Netherlands Bernard always ordered his Ferrari’s in the green colour. This model was his last one. License plate AA13 , member of the Royal family and a personal friend of Enzo Ferrari Some of his cars showed up at auctions in the USA. Greetings from the Netherlands.
This car is awesome, I understand wanting the pure sport car version but for most people this would fit life so much better
I'd love to see also some progress on the Jaguar-powered '66 Chevelle!
YES!!!!
Yes ,It would be nice if he fixed one of his four cars. TALK,TALK l unsubscribed.
Yes, keep seeing it in the background and that pillarless hardtop looks really sexy.
Stunning car, beautiful design. One of my favorites Ferraris.
I know I am in the minority but I think this vehicle is beautiful...
how do you know?
I think you are actually a silent majority. Most people either like it or are indifferent. Ive never heard anyone say its ugly.
It's a beautiful car. I think the purists are missing out.
My second favorite Ferrari! The 355 is still my dream car but this one is close 2nd!
The color ruins it
I always liked the 456's more understated, subtle styling.
I fell in love with them after seeing the blue one that Wayne Carrini had a few years ago.
Pure definition of a Gran Tourer .
FR layout , v12 , manual , 2+2, 29g fuel capacity .
Not to mention, it was the last Ferrari made with pop-up headlights.
That's just how they designed them in the 90s
@@Cghv-88 Pity that the automatic version of this beautiful car had a crappy 4 gears gearbox that ruined the experience totally :(
I think the 456 has to be one of the best Ferraris ever made and right now the best cheap supercar to get
What’s the market for it?
Well we all know that won’t last long.
Agreed 100%! I got one last year, because I knew it was my last chance to ever own a V12 stick shift Ferrari and it is as wonderful as id hoped.

It is by no way a supercar.
4 seater-cars were build very early in the history of this brand and continously til today. The Ferrari-people recognized the demand for GTs and for this purpose a 4 seater or a 2+2 is perfect. For me a 330 GT Series 2 (single head lamps) is the crown of these Gran Tourismo coupés. That's not a crude sportscar, it's the gentleman's express.

Some people can't grasp the difference between sports car and GT. There's nothing wrong with a good GT.
@@GracUntoYou Wrong forum, haysooz
Almost all the road GT from Ferrari were 2+2.
@@GracUntoYouHmmm. Maybe you should try another channel? Or do you want to discuss something about Weber carburetors? I remember, I did some prayers when I rebuild my two double 48, some years ago. But I prayed to Mr. Weber, not to a god (since that is useless, especially regarding carburetors). Good luck, Jesus.
its a beautiful car. a masterpiece. i wish i had 50k EUR laying around, without any other idea how to spend them :(
I love that you have on the same garage two Italian cars of the same era this Ferrari and the Alfa 164.
In the 90s I picked a friend up at the airport who had been to a Man Utd away match in Europe. The players' aircraft arrived at the same time as the fan's. Beckham was very polite, did autographs. I even went in the lift with some fans and him. Then as we left I came out right behind him in his grey 456GT. I tried to keep up in my Ford Mondeo ST but my friend was not keen on speed and told me to stop right away, not that I had a chance ha.
Looks like the one Tavarish sold you in the background! Both great and beautiful rides.
The Ford Probe was a beautiful car I had one back in the day second generation with a Mazda four cylinder stick shift, wist I still had it. Pop up headlights we're the best!
👍👍👍
I love the four bucket seats! Take the wife and kids for a spin! Manual transmission, rear wheel drive, teach 'em while they're young!!! Great car!
I would like to have just a little segment where you check out the sound of the cars.
They are fairly cheap in Germany (for a Ferrari) so I like them, they also sound so great.
Love the Ferrarri. And that 89 500 SL in the background looks nice too! Would love to hear the story on that one!
This car look so modern! Only the pop up headlights and some small touches reminds the 90's, but overall, looks so good.
One of the most classy color combos on any car BRG metallic and tan leather interior.
I think that was a popular color option with the Mitsubishi 3000GT. I remember seeing a lot of them in this livery, but current surviving models don't support that memory.
I really think they are really cool cars. Pretty underrated ferrari
PLEASE make a tech video on this engine with the valve covers out... PLEASEEEEE
This is one with class. Over time I noticed that many simple people think this car is boring, while somebody with an eye for detail will notice how balanced and organized the styling is on this one. The line wraping around the sides and the rear is a trip for an eye.
I love the Ferrari, but no one likes to be Probed!😂😂
The color is unbelievably beautiful.
looks like aston martin green
The 456 is one of my all-time favorites. Best in pretty much any shade of blue available from the factory.
What the eighties were to pop music, the nineties were for cars.
That is a beautiful color combo on that car
Capristo makes exhaust for newer Vettes. Adjustable valved exhaust, good stuff
stock in ferrari is your best deal if you want to own anything ferrari. $219 a share ticker symbol RACE, even pays a small dividend. doesnt corner as well though lol
My 3rd fave supercar, after the F40, DB9..then this, the 456, awesome car, have only ever seen one. Only thing is the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
Love the radio control ..
This will undoubtedly be the first Ferrari I ever own. Essential maintenance actually looks simple on this thing. The only thing to cry over would be part prices. Not a bad deal to be driving a true Italian automobile.
I hope you got one a year ago because the speculators have snapped them up now.
I think everyone that makes the Ford probe joke about these are secretly jealous because they actually want one haha
I'm the weirdo that would actually rather have the probe
@@badopinionsrighthere matches your username perfectly!🤣😂
I would consider fitting one with a Ford badge just to mess with people
@@badopinionsrighthere I had a 94 Ford Probe GT. It was a very fun to drive car. I’m sure it wasn’t Ferrari fun, but fun nonetheless. I liked that car more than my Mustang GT.
honestly, you're right. I do kinda want a Ford Probe.
I'm not sure but I think that is Ferrari Chrome Green. Love it regardless. Thanks Wizard.
5:04 It even comes with a built in Mancala board for those long road trips
love you guys and the cars and the especially the videos and the wizards cool persona
Ms. Wiz, 43,000 miles is a whole lot in Ferrariperson land!
Wizard bashed the Probe for having fake air ducts/outlets. I don't remember any ducts or outlets on the 1st or 2nd gen Ford Probes. They do have some similar design ques/lines though, no doubting that. I was never a fan of the 1st gen Probes but I did own a 2nd gen Probe GT. It was a great car and for the time was pretty quick, not Ferrari quick mind you but quick enough. Dropped the Japan spec KLZE engine in and bam 35 more HP then it was really quick. Anyway, not trying to beat you up, keep up the good content.
👍👍👍
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
German Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be
banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine
and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027
on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any
more....
Hey Wizard, I've noticed a few times now that you (correctly) call the Bonnet the Bonnet and not the Hood. Is this something you conciously do or does it just happen?
He is pandering to people like you
He’s clearly a classy human being. Likely spells ‘colour’ with a ‘u’ too ;-)
@@headwerkn likely not, I believe he is literate
IT'S GREEEN!!
11:30 - AH there it is. That Italian wiring. I don't know what's with these guys but they've got to do 90% of the car to perfection then throw their hands in the air for the last 10% lol.
One of my favorite Ferraris ever
Nice car. Maintenance and general up keep, much more expensive than the Probe. I'm in debate, maybe I want a Probe more Mr and Mrs Wizard?

I looked at one of these before I bought a 575. I was a beautiful car at a discounted price because of age and back seat. I just did the 5 year 15,000 mile timing belt change. $5,600 at Ferrari of Ft Lauderdale. I wish I had you working on my car.
I thank the wizard for beeping the horn, it is a particularly cool sounding one
Such a nice car, didn't even know those existed.
I love these. I remember when they were only around $25k to buy used
That can’t be true!
@@KarmaticEvolution it was around 2009 when they where going for that.
@@04dram04 He's Right you know.... (Remember seeing them in the 40s range just a few years ago)
I remember when the Testarossa could be had for 40k.
Off topic … I’ve been searching your videos for the tool you used to check fuses. So you don’t have to pull every fuse to find out which one is failing especially if more than one fuse may be blown. I didn’t see it on your Amazon suggested tools list. Thank you.
It’s a Ferrari, buy a fiat panda and you have sorted 50% of your spare parts.
Still my favorite looking Ferrari they've built
Ferarri’s are not fun for the wallet 😂
Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Lotus, Corvette, NSX, Audi, anything is better 👍
That is a beautiful car. I love the colour! You get the most interesting cars in your shop!
There were many vehicles in the late 90's with the "Forest/evergreen/metallic" green exterior/beige interior color scheme.
Yup. The Ford Explorer comes to mind.
Wizard gave us "all the beans" the other day....
Years ago, I drove a debadged 456. It was a great car that you could park just about anywhere.
You have an Alfa Romeo 164 in there? Wow!
I've always been a bit eclectic with my favorites...as a child of the 80's, we had MANY iconic poster cars to choose from. And while the 456 never made it to my bedroom wall, it has always been one of my absolute favorites.
Ok at least I'm not the only one who saw the Ford Probes image in this...buddy had a 96 gt...I liked his 95 escort 4 Dr better..
I watch Car Wizard after a tough day at work. Such a chilled out car show. Helps me chill out too.
Same.
more cars should come in green
Is that a roach in the ashtray at 5:45? lol
As always AWESOME car review. Enjoyed all of it constantly...
Q: What do you think of 2009 or 2008 Ferrari F430 Berlinetta reliability.
Q: Also the of 2009 or 2008 Ferrari F430 Spider reliability.
Q: How expensive are these cars maintenance?
Thanks for your help - Regards...
Let us see those wizard skills while working on the car.
You might just see the prancing horse on a Ford Probe, there are Ferarri replica car body kits for it.
456GTs look great, i used to have a hot wheels version of one haha :D
456 is a totally understated design and better for being so. Today's models are over wrought and are not pleasing to the eye.
I bought a 456M subject to an independent PPI at Ferrari specialist shop.. which it flunked. Engine compression was terrible. So I walked away. Sad.
Poor Wizard, Mrs Wizard has claimed his Ferrari :(
As the saying goes "What's hers is hers, what's yours is hers".
Also as the saying goes “happy wife happy life.”
My favorite Italian machine.
The Dino was a 4 seater as long as they were kids lol
To my very un-trained Ferrari eye that timing belt looks kind of like you actually have space to work in front of the motor.
That armwrest/center console resembles a "Prison Food Tray" LOL
Open the Bonnet you said Mr Wizard 😉 love it UK Subscriber 🤣🤣
Nice but don't think that exhaust note sound check went to plan! Couldn't hear it proper.
Congratulations for the video. Really nice described. and it gives the right attention to such a beautiful and underrated Ferrari model
Confusing a Probe for a 456, cancel the other guys car creed card.
Ferrari caters to two different markets. There's the hardcore petrolhead, at whom the likes of the 599 GTO are aimed, and then there's the "Grand Tourer" segment, at whom cars like the 456 GT are aimed.
As for the cars that are aimed at the "Grand Tourer" market segment, the 456 GT is possibly one of the most beautiful to emerge from the Ferrari stable. It's elegant, subtle, with just enough presence for those in the know to nod sagely, and by the usual Ferrari standards, decently practical.
Though the back seats as best regarded as factory fitted child seats, unless the adult occupants in the front are Eva Longoria sized, and have the front seats moved well forward. :)
Indeed, that's the basic purpose of this car - to be an effortless continent crosser that also happens to be capable of ridiculous speeds. It has ample performance for all but the most deranged speed freak, and it delivers that performance without propelling you into lumbar surgery territory. Though the fuel economy hit will take some getting used to, if you use it in the manner intended, and is one of the reasons other than the Ferrari level maintenance costs, that make it a car you buy with your eyes open, and enough firepower in the bank account to keep this car in the manner it's accustomed to.
Yes, it will need expensive TLC to get the best out of it, but it will reward you for this with a truly special driving experience, especially if you're fortunate enough to use it as a proper Grand Tourer. As in "Wait, did I just get from Paris to Prague in six hours?"
Wizard....... I hit the button really hard but only thing that happend was my finger got hurt...
I kinda want a Ford Probe now
👍👍👍
Do not understand why anyone would buy a very unreliable car.
Looks like a 2000’s Monte Carlo
Forget the Ferrari, you need to get the Chevuar ready for snow drifting.
you guys are so wholesome, #marriagegoals!
A green Ferrari, that's rare.
If I could review the Ferrari 456 with The Car Wizards and Mrs Wizards I would roll up the Number and get all schmoked up
Man, why all the Ford Probe hostility? I thought they looked pretty cool for their time. But oh hey, that two tone interior looks pretty sharp.
👍👍👍
This is my favorite channel on UA-cam!
Hey, Wizard. I yave been trying to figure out wether these cars require an engine out to change any belts?
You know I'm always surprised so see these old cars up close. You really do pay for the brand....
At this point, a Ford Probe is also a cool car
So true, as they are so rare now. 👍
4-seater Ferraris are not that rare ... there have been 14 or more different models over the years ... from 1960 to present day!
I like to see the interior, and I get why this guy includes his wife on it (yeah I know she edits) but I needed to mute de description of the interior
She'll get better hopefully.
Nobody is fitting in the back! Maybe that European mechanic friend of Hoovies? The one who works on all his BMW’s? Johnny?
Wait until those Ferrari purists hear about the 250 GT...
👍👍
The Ford Probe had rear seats for the family as well. And had a 7,200 rpm revving engine also, half the size though.
Suspension adjustments that don't do anything? That's pretty much par for the course for the 80s and 90s cars. From the factory
I love my 456!
Was that a dead roach in the rear ashtray?! lol
