For a person who wants to get into the basics of fitness and don't know where to start, this is an awesome program. Helped me get from 295 down to 185 and I've never looked back since
I let myself get outta shape, so I recently dug up some old p90x videos. It's been like a decade, but I used to love that shit. I had to look this up on UA-cam to make sure I'm not crazy
P90x and other at home workouts from Beach Body were indeed the gateway drug for me. Once I got past the home based workouts and into a gym, I was hooked on body building splits.
This is great because P90X it's actually how I got in to fitness. My wife gave me a set if resistance bands with the DVD set as a gift. I had a complex because I was out of shape, I completed the program got in to bodybuilding and I have been lifting ever since.
I've not done P90X, but I actually got into weights because of Les Mills BodyPump, which uses a similar theory. To be honest, I was scared of weights, because I didn't look anything like the beasts down in the weight area, and never thought of myself as strong. Doing classes with baby weights (coupled with instructors who are form nazis!) got me confident with the how, and when I saw some seriously stacked dudes wander in and fade out because the volume was too much I realised it's not about how much you resemble a balloon animal. Those classes gave me the confidence to start with a trainer, who was kind of taken aback at how good my form was, and since then I've been steadily upping my weights, and just doing BP for fun (and to help fill my cardio quota without boring my tits off on a treadmill). These kinds of programs are great gateways, not just for those lacking time or motivation, but also confidence, and I do think I benefitted greatly from perfecting my form using like 10kg before touching real weights where it really matters.
I agree with this 100% I've done the p90x that was my start back into fitness I made more gain in the gym after of course but it conditioned my body for harder workouts.
P90x is great!! And it is true it is for those individuals who are looking for a better lifestyle or to lose weight It is not for someone who wants to be a bodybuilder or wants to build huge gain The creator of the program says it himself that he believes in living a healthy lifestyle which is why the program has weight training cardio plyometrics yoga he wants people to have a well rounded lifestyle Really recommend it :)!
This is the true Bodybuilding program by Beachbody as it got me better with weight training and helped me learn how to do different techniques like Single Sets, Super Sets, Pyramid Sets (Or Progressive Set as Sagi Kalev calls it), Giant Sets, and Drop Sets. You can do this program at the gym especially if you have limited equipment at home.
Definitely a great system, but it's a lot like CrossFit, because people jump right from the couch, into an intense routine. I'm not a fan of it for beginners.
Any OG's know about that German Potato Soup....?
Ab Ripper X is still GOAT.

Insanity was my gateway drug to wanting to become a shredded monster.

Plyo X resulted in the most painful doms for me at 16. Still like doing it over boring hiit on a stairmaster.
Yeah, P90x won't get you huge muscles, but chicks will definitely jock the end-result of the "gains" you can make with P90x.
I did P90X over the summer. Kept me in great shape. It is not a program that will bulk you up; it will lean you out. For me, it was maintenance.
P90X is great, it's not perfect but it's pretty damn close to it.

Witness the fitness!Sean hit the nail on the head....Anything that gets someone off their ass is a good thing.
Thank you guys

Couldn't agree more. Awesome video.

“It’s the weed of fitness” 😂 I feel P90X is also an excellent program for preparing the body for strength training and/or bodybuilding.
I subscribed because of 0:52
That joke was so well timed!!
I have a friend he is 5.6 138 pounds ask me about p90x . I told him dont do it that he would disappear
Do you sell that brown hoodie in your store?
Insanity was what got me into lifting, lost about 50 lbs in like 3 months doing it. Amazing and probably the hardest thing I've ever done
I started lifting cause I started P90x
Its a great start to Fitness, Bodybuilding, and Weight Training.

Gateway drug into fitness. Yup. Great points
That's how I started. Did that for two years, then converted to the gym. It is a drug to fitness.
