I’ve been following you for years now and feel as though you’re the best at repairing amps. I want to send you an amp to fix it. It’s an Audiopipe apmn 2000.1, it more or less a Skat Rp 2000. I’m not really sure what happened to it, it blew a 250a fuse and then it just stayed on with power and protect lights on and they stay on. I’m 100% ok with the shipping and cost to repair, would you make a video on it too? Please let me know how I can get this to you. Thanks so much Sam. PS in in the USA too. Thanks again
Hey Sam! Love your vids! I saw you modified a Taramps Smart 3 to remove the subsonic filter. Do you have a video on this process? The fact that Taramps drops the low frequencies in the preamp section kills me... We need to know how to get around this. 😁 🙏
I have a Rockford Fosgate p4004 and channels 1 & 2 work fine but if you put any load on 3 & 4 the amp goes into protect. Can you hopefully give any incite on what's going on with it?
Hello and good day , so I been watching your channel for a long time now and I will say it's amazing what u do . That being said I was gonna ask u if u would happen to repair my helix amplifier A4 . I have 1 channel only other 3 channels are not functioning. No sound.
Hey Sam, a channel called Stereo Mojo is experimenting with amplifier clip lights compared to the DD1. He's got an oscope showing the signal. Maybe you could explain what he's seeing? I'll add a link below, but youtube might delete it. The video is called "More clipping and distortion testing".
Do you have a shop or work from home? I have a Denon DCA 3400 class A amp probably older than you that decided not to switch on after a break. Checked the fuses then my knowledge run out. How does one get in touch or is this a hobby?
@Barevids- I really loved your Boom or Bust video's. Are you getting a different size, or higher X Max capable driver to test, in the Boom or Bust series? Would really 💖to see this series again, they were so fun to watch!
@@barevidsThats so 😢 I think if more people knew about that series, it would take off. I used to love your car audio, bass testing, and showing box/impedance rise, and how port tuning effects where the most rise happens. I think since you have done more amp fix/repair video's, those type of viewer's were not interested in the Boom or Bust video's, as much as if all your Bass head viewers from the past, would have known about them= would have been a big hit!? To be honest i have only seen bits and pcs. of your video's about amp repair's. I just so happened to see what you were up to when i stumbled upon the Boom or Bust series, i thought that was your best video series EVER! I truly believe that if more Bass Heads seen that series, it would explode in views. Thank you for taking your time to comment💖
Sam, can you test an idea that I had recently about a perfect place to play bass with out lose too many decibels across the room? Like you made in the Boom Or Bust that is very small compared to the real world. Imagine two isosceles triangles united by the bases of both, if the subwoofers is placed at exact the center of that unified bases of both triangles, everywhere in the room now have almost equal decibels level, because as further from the center the sound wave travel trough the legs of the triangles, less space it has to lose SPL as it is approaching the most acute angles of the triangles. Just have to be careful about where to place the doors and windows. I imagined the windows being very close to the roof so the walls would reverberate better the bass without the glass causing comb filtering, and the four symmetrically placed doors would be very close to the middle which is where the DJ Controller and the speakers are. The speakers have to be in 360° so everybody can hear in front of them. I had this idea watching DnB Allstars 360°.
The bass frequencies bounce around and you get certain frequencies that get reinforced and some get canceled. This causes peaks and dips in the frequency response.
@@JasonWW2000 Thank you for the reply! But this happens in a rectangular room too and a lot worse in a square one, so a double triangular room will be better than a rectangular for sound waves.
Hi, I have 2000w Kac-ps917D Kenwood amp as soon as I increase the volume it goes into protection mode, after troubleshooting found out that there is continuity between +ve and -ve power terminal checked the caps and fets everything is fine, any idea what should I look for?
You are actually becoming an inspiration for me… and I don’t get inspired by others that easy.
U are litterly a amp fixer guru... 🙏❤️💪 job wel done .. much respect..
Fault finding is a specialism itself within the electronics industry. Nice find!
Wild that it took all of that diagnosis just for a poor solder joint!
Nice video man
Awsome as usual wish u lived in the states such great work
That was a good find wow keep up the good work Sir 👍🏽🙏🏽
👍🏽 another great video!
You really know your stuff, a true pro

If you are in the UK he can.
You said amplifiers can go into low voltage protect. Can have a video on this subject so I can save it in my archives? Thanks

Are you in the UK? This is my main business and income.
Where can I get held with my amplifier, would be really appreciated
This right here was a fantastic video!!! Extremely informational and those schematics 🤌🏽
What would cause only (1) 250v1500uf capacitor to swell ?? Also the amplifier is fully functional it’s been been hibernating sense I found this issue.

Is it ok if i read voltage on top of the cap where there is cross ❌

Blown power supply fets probably due to blown output fets.
Amazing 😮🔊
