There is a lot of people on here talking about Alaska in the summer and how beautiful it is. Alaska is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life, however, I lived in Fairbanks AK, for 3 years, and during the summer, it was miserable, between the 21 hour days and the temperatures regularly getting over 80 degrees and creeping toward 90 degrees with no air conditioning and all the smoke in the air from all of the Forrest fires, it was bad for those 1 1/2 to 2 months of pure summer. I much prefer the "breakup" or what most people would call spring. Snow and ice melts and the temp is much easier to manage during the day and much more comfortable at night with just a fan blowing.
I strongly suggest you guys move to America. I'm an immigrant too since 1995. The Americans gave me what I was striving for, education. I'm forever humbled. Personally Im ready to lay down my life for this country. When 9/11 2001 happened, I reported to the nearest recruitment office in Monroeville, PA . Unfortunately they denied my services since I had a pre- existing condition (asthma). I never volunteered that information I knew I had the condition, but during blood work I guess they found out. I love the USA no matter what.
A yinzer.......i was born and raised in murrysville. The bridge on 22 that goes over to penn center is named after my family, my ancestors owned the roundhouse and all the property up to the mall way way back when. My father was the postal supervisor for monroeville and i have relatives buried at the old stone church cemetery, my sister was married in that church. The diversity of its neighborhoods but yet community feel of the whole area is amazing. You are helping in your own way of furthering the enrichment of this country with diversity and customs from the whole globe no matter where you reside. And your love for this country is very evident and very genuine, thus you ARE an American as well as a yinzer in my eyes.

August! We don't use the outdoors in Texas in August. In DFW last summer, we had 22 days above 100F, with 19 of those at or above 105F, during August. Also if you want to go to Palo Duro Canyon or Big Bend, it can be down right dangerous during that time of year. Down in the bottom of the canyon, it can approach 120F.
I live by the Central Oregon coast; I moved out here from the Ohio River Valley in Indiana, and I was not prepared for the awestriking beauty of Oregon. This state is like paradise, and it doesn't matter which part of the state you're in, every inch of the countryside landscape is gobsmacking.
You wouldn't think it, but in June the average high temperature in Fairbanks Alaska is the same as San Diego California! In the Summer, with the sun constantly up in Alaska, it can get quite warm!
Montana is indeed a beautiful state but the pictures of Yellowstone Park and at least one picture of of the mountain lakes are actually in Wyoming, which really should've made this list. Thanks for the video!
The problem is, Yellowstone and Tetons is one tiny corner. And while they are great, I think most people would visit it and realize the rest of it is just okay. Flaming Gorge and Devils Tower are nice, but nothing like Montana. So you can cheat and include Yellowstone in with Montana and not use two spots in a short list.
The most daunting thing about travel in America is just big the country is. Unless the sites you're interested in are quite near each other on a map, there will be hours or even days of travel from one to the next. In the US a couple of hundred miles could be considered a day-trip.
The Columbia River Gorge (Washington state on one side and Oregon on the other side) is absolutely beautiful. Mt. Hood, the river, Bonneville Dam, so many waterfalls, etc. Drive along Interstate 84 (I-84) and you can drive alongside the river going from Portland, through the gorge, and out into the desert east.
I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived in New Hampshire for around 17 years now and plan on moving even further north in the state. It's easy access to the coast into Maine, and lots of lakes as well with all you need.
There are fairs and rodeos in other States besides Texas. One of the oldest is in Steamboat Springs Colorado. Lots of fun in Summer. I like tubing on the Yampa River, the Hot Springs and the ride to Steamboat is gorgeous!
I grew up in Arizona but I never regret moving to Alaska 23 yrs ago . The winters do get cold and can start to feel long . The summers make up for it with 22 hrs of sun per day here in the Anchorage areas . You never want to sleep in the summer with everything outside to go do and all the wildlife everywhere . Alaska is an amazing place to call home .
Have never been to Anchorage but have been to Ketchikan, Sitka, Wrangell, and Juneau. Being from the North West Coast of British Columbia it was very familiar territory.
If you come over in August and get to Oregon I have 2 recommendations... 1st is Jerry's Jet Boat rides up the Rogue River in Gold Beach Oregon, it's a 8 hour long trip filled with wildlife, scenery and some class 3 rapids you go UP not down lol, plan on getting wet so protect electronics. The 2nd is Crater Lake Oregon, but more importantly stop at the roadside springs they're filtered by volcanic rock and are so still and pure it'll look like you can put arm in water and touch bottom, but in reality are much deeper and the taste of water is.... celestial ❤.
I've always wanted to visit Montana. number one reason is i'm Blackfoot indian and there's a Blackfeet rez there in Browning. love that i came from a tribe that lived in such a beautiful area and it's still kept beautiful. The blackfoot tribe lived around the Glacier Mountains. Found this little piece on it.... "Glacier National Park is the most spiritual place for the Blackfeet. They call it “the backbone of the world,” and have inhabited the region for 10,000 years".
My home state of WASHINGTON🤘... is so damn beautiful and so is the whole Great American Pacific Northwest, it really really is awesome 👍and ya!...... we have desert too with the biggest Coulee's in the world. It doesn't rain all the time and is very dry, especially in the Columbia basin or WA where it gets easily over a 100 F many days of the summer
I'm from Michigan, it has my vote if you are taking votes for where you should go, especially the Upper Peninsula is awesome! Tons of waterfalls and there is all the water you want you want in the whole state, you can't go two miles in any direction without running into some kind of fresh water, be it a river, a lake, a pond, a crick, swamps, and let's not forget the Great Lakes, and don't forget they are dangerous, every bit as dangerous as the ocean, even more-so because rip currents are unexpected there! Many people drown every year because they underestimate the lakes!

while i agree with you that it wouldn't make for ideal vacation weather. might be funny to get to flip the script on the family. he's from south africa, he can handle the heat. his family handles the cold well, but he doesn't.
Same goes for florida.....heat, mosquitoes, and maybe a hurricane too. Even september, they are by far our worst two months for weather. Only good thing is its almost empty of tourists and snowbirds (people who come from up north to get out of the cold)
@@jishani1Why would you think South Africa is hot? It isn’t. Cape Town is temperate and Johannesburg is semi-temperate with a dry climate, but it can and does snow there occasionally. Nothing at all like the sweltering American south.

However, there are plenty of other states that would be perfect for him. Surprisingly, Alaska in August would be perfect weather for hunting and fishing. Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington State, Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Maine, Maryland would also be perfect in August for hunting, fishing. Pennsylvania's interior is beautiful. Oregon, in my opinion, is the most beautiful state. The rainbows are the most vivid in color!
1st. The object you thought looked unreal in the beginning of the video is in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. There is much to see there that is equally unworldly! 2nd. Traveling in August in much of the US is STIFLING HOT.
Every state has some beautiful areas. New York, with the Adirondacks and the Catskills are underrated. Long Island has nice beaches and Long Island Sound, between New York and Connecticut, is great for fishing, too. The Northeast US s scenically underrated.
I totally agree. New York and the New England states are gorgeous, and the mountains are no pushovers. The Whites and the Adirondacks offer some really, really challenging hiking, and the Greens in Vermont and the Catskills are amazing in the fall. And don't sleep on the scenic coastlines, with combinations of beach and rocky headlands. My family has spent more vacation time in New England and New York than any other part of the country.

August is the hottest month of the summer to come here. Especially to Texas or a southern state. You are being very brave. Alaska has an average temperature during the summer of 60 to 80°. You’re not going to be that cold during the summer. Winter time is a different story, but summer is quite mild and nice.
Texas in August, might want to think about a different cooler region to visit your first time here. Come back to Texas during spring or fall. But if you love the heat, then Texas might be for you. There really are other states than just Texas, it seems that most influencers always chose Texas, not sure why. Don't get me wrong, I love Texas, but I have been in every state, I love most of them.
I've taken two cruises to Alaska in my life, and they were AMAZING. They go up the coast and you visit a ton of the little coastal towns. During the part of the year that the cruises run the weather was actually great. We were told both times we went that we had the best weather of the year lol. I didn't even wear a jacket on most of the days.
August is a great month to be in the mountains. You will find a lot of fun events going on in western Colorado, northern New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, and all the way up into Canada. Summer is a very active time for the Western culture so there will be lots of rodeos and fairs, not just in the big cities🤠 Music and art festivals are aplenty in the mountain towns and high desert alike.
August is the hottest month in the year. It is also one of the most active Hurricane months. October is in the fall, meaning colored trees in the north. Much better weather . Spring time is the best. March, April are great months. Look into the tourist season where you want to go. If you go "off " tourist season hotel cost should be lower.
I live in Michigan and sometimes living in the city you can forget how beautiful the other parts are. I’m in my 30s and I had never been to the upper peninsula. Omg it’s amazing.
Took two of my grandsons on a trip to Austin Texas in August for a reunion and the first thing they said when we stopped for gas and hour after crossing the state line into Texas was "Why is it so hot here ". I told them it was only 102 degrees. And after about 4 hours they wanted to know if we were there yet.
Don't fear the heat yes its hot but your car will have AC and so do all of the business you will visit I've lived here my whole life with no worries, plus there are lakes everywhere around Austin you won't regret coming. I spent most of my life in Pennsylvania and hated the cold. Then I moved to Alaska because there was work on the North Slope oil fields. My first winter was week after week of -50 degree F and brutal winds. Since then the cold doesn't me at all. I think my body just had to figure out how to adjust. Yesterday I was shopping around here and there wearing shorts and a T shirt. Temps were between 5 and fifteen degrees. It didn't bother me a bit.
Southern US is too hot for an August visit. Colorado Springs as a base would give easy access to areas in the mountains where August temperatures are perfect. The only drawback of Colorado is taking a day to adjust to the altitude. Also, buy sunblock because thin air doesn't repel the UV very well.
FYI - you can also ride the rails AKA The Amtrak Railroad in California, too. It's very beautiful and you don't have to drive - especially when not sure about California driving...
Alaska really isn't cold in the summer. At least in the most visited parts. I was there in August, and it was quite warm most of the time, even in Fairbanks.
Alaska isn't cold in the summer, man. I went in May when it is light out for 21 hrs a day. I golfed in shorts and tee shirt, and same for four wheeling by the glaciers. It was great
I grew up in Virginia. I spent my summers in Pennsylvania (where my grandmother lives). I now live and work in California (in the Silicon Valley near San Francisco). As beautiful as states like California, Hawaii and Alaska truly are, I still think that my favorite states are Texas, Tennessee and Virginia. This is more because of the PEOPLE in those states. I live in a beautiful state with many wonderful things to do and see. I think that Yosemite might be one of the most beautiful place in the world (even more than Hawaii). However, I really like the food and people of Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.

Jono, just to clarify, just like Antarctica, Alaska has a summer, and during that time, the snow melts, and even in Fairbanks, it can warm up into the 90s. Go in the summer, and you'd be fine. I know, since I drove there back in '84--solo. He pronounced Alaska's Kenai Fjords National Park as kuh-NYE; it's actually KEEN-eye.
My uncle lives in Alaska and he said in the summertime it's really really warm weather and I have a friend that was a neighbor of mine that went camping and hiking in Alaska in the summer and she slept in a tent she said the weather was absolutely beautiful so go during the summer
August . . is SUMMER in the US - so IF you come in August please be sure to check the local temps -- In the southern states, you will have very high humidity in August...same with most of Texas and Florida - it will be hot and humid . . . Northern and Southern California would be okay (still very warm) - but California is expensive .. and very touristy! The mid-west will be in the 80's with moderate humidity and the New England States will be okay as will places like Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Idaho etc.. I know saving money is a biggie - I feel ya on that - but just be aware of our August summers here!! I am one of those lucky American's that has been to every state over my 70 years with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii . . maybe I'll get to those two someday...

I agree with you about the temperatures. The thing with the United States is that its so huge you have to pick travel by zones and season because some areas can get very cold or very hot. I have been fortunate to travel to Europe several times. The geography, history, architecture and diversity of cultures are amazing. But honestly like many Americans my preference is to travel the USA. With limited finances, vacation, and just time ... I want to see during my lifetime, God's awe inspiring creations, that in the US, I think, are probably like no where else in the universe.
August is super hot in most states It is the hottest month of the year. So be prepared for that. Also, it's summer break for kids so the National Parks are a nightmare during this time. October is a much better time to visit both temperature wise and less crowded. I've driven across the US over 9 times in the last 15 years and my advice to foreign visitors would be to visit Utah, Wyoming, Arizona. If you have a lot of time and a good budget then include parks in California like Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley. Don't go to San Francisco or Los Angeles. Dirty and dangerous. Never leave anything valuable in your car. No matter where you visit. Homeless are everywhere now and they will smash and grab from your vehicle. In general, inside the national parks it's safer with the exception of some parks along the southern border. Always respect nature. There are bison, moose, elk, bears, wolves, coyotes, mountain lions, etc. across the US. Keep your head on a swivel.
The Wreck you were talking about is The Edmund Fitzgerald. There is a song sung by Gordon Lightfoot called 'The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald'. The ship had a few nicknames, including 'The Titanic of the Great Lakes', 'The Pride of the American Side' and many others. In November, the lake (The Great Lakes has more fresh water combined than all other lakes in the world.), can get stormy, and the Edmund Fitzgerald was loaded with Iron Ore for the last run of the season. It was supposed to go to Toledo, Ohio, but it sank in Whitefish Bay. Lake Superior is very cold and Native Americans said the lake never gives up the dead. It is true. Maine and the rest of the New England states has beautiful scenery, in Connecticut, one of America's most beautiful highways is the Merritt Parkway and another beautiful roadway is Connecticut Route 169 in the quiet corner of Connecticut (The northeastern part of Connecticut). The summer is when schools are out here, however, some parents do homeschool. When you visit, in August, I'd visit Maine, New Hampshire (recommend visiting Mount Washington, you might see snow at the summit even if the weather is warm). Hope you pick a region of the USA, instead of going here and there. If you want to visit an amusement park, I'd tell you to visit Lake Compounce, the oldest amusement park in continuous operation.
If you could fly to barcelona , you can get one of the cheapest flights and one of the best ones into the states. I always use LEVEL airlines when i go to europe, its cheap ,its good and its comfortable . Sometimes you can get non stop fligths to Los Angeles from barcelona for under 600 dllrs round trip on economi class with time even cheaper. Last year i went to Barcelona and paid 300 us dollrs for a round trip with 6 months in advance . I trully recomend LEVEL Airlines . They also Fly from Paris . They do non stop flights to New York Or Boston and i think those are cheaper. I fly from los angeles

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All these most beautiful videos are subjective. I will take my the state of Michigan over any state we got it all . The Great Lakes don't have any sharks to eat you or our rivers and lakes do not have any gators and pythons . Most people seem to think that Michigan only consist of the bad areas of Detroit and use that for the whole state.
Would not recommend visiting in August. Unless it’s Washington State / Montana / Oregon. Even there can be very bad heat waves. And the rest of the country is way too hot (deathly in desert states and brutally humid in the east / southeast / northeast). September / October or May are far better and winter is great for the Deep South / Florida / Texas and Arizona.
Move here and every weekend and vacation becomes an adventure... passports not required. get a reliable car for weekend road trips (and vacations) or just fly or train tour other states. This is how Americans relax. Most of the US is pure eye candy, even from your car. 😁
as a floridian that's used to white sandy beaches here, galveston texas reminds me a lot of the small island beach towns in north florida. not exactly an ugly area.
California has very strict antipollution laws which have been in force for 40 years. Every car built in the USA must meet these laws. So as of 2024 pollution is nowhere near the problem it has been in the past with the exception of the Central Valley.
I don't care what anyone says, I still will stay in New England. We have lakes and ocean beaches and festivals and fairs. I have never felt hemmed in by other people and it is very peaceful and never too loud.
Nobody can do just "a day" it's not only the largest state but it's not 1 of the 'continental" 48 Alaska & Hawaii both take either days driving or boat ride or a flight to get to so it's not a "day" trip 😉

I live in Michigan but the redwoods in California blew me away. It's something you won't see anywhere else in the world (maybe Oregon also?).
yeah they do exist in oregon but nothing like redwood national park. don't forget the sequoia trees native to california as well.
We're growing sequoias in Iowa now.

If you come over in August and get to Oregon I have 2 recommendations... 1st is Jerry's Jet Boat rides up the Rogue River in Gold Beach Oregon, it's a 8 hour long trip filled with wildlife, scenery and some class 3 rapids you go UP not down lol, plan on getting wet so protect electronics. The 2nd is Crater Lake Oregon, but more importantly stop at the roadside springs they're filtered by volcanic rock and are so still and pure it'll look like you can put arm in water and touch bottom, but in reality are much deeper and the taste of water is.... celestial ❤.
I've always wanted to visit Montana. number one reason is i'm Blackfoot indian and there's a Blackfeet rez there in Browning. love that i came from a tribe that lived in such a beautiful area and it's still kept beautiful. The blackfoot tribe lived around the Glacier Mountains. Found this little piece on it.... "Glacier National Park is the most spiritual place for the Blackfeet. They call it “the backbone of the world,” and have inhabited the region for 10,000 years".
My home state of WASHINGTON🤘... is so damn beautiful and so is the whole Great American Pacific Northwest, it really really is awesome 👍and ya!...... we have desert too with the biggest Coulee's in the world. It doesn't rain all the time and is very dry, especially in the Columbia basin or WA where it gets easily over a 100 F many days of the summer

I'm from Michigan, it has my vote if you are taking votes for where you should go, especially the Upper Peninsula is awesome! Tons of waterfalls and there is all the water you want you want in the whole state, you can't go two miles in any direction without running into some kind of fresh water, be it a river, a lake, a pond, a crick, swamps, and let's not forget the Great Lakes, and don't forget they are dangerous, every bit as dangerous as the ocean, even more-so because rip currents are unexpected there! Many people drown every year because they underestimate the lakes!
No. No. NO. Don't go to Texas in August. There's a reason why it's so cheap in August. You will melt in the summer heat. August is the hottest month of the year in Texas, and it is unbearable. Even people that live here in Texas hate August weather
while i agree with you that it wouldn't make for ideal vacation weather. might be funny to get to flip the script on the family. he's from south africa, he can handle the heat. his family handles the cold well, but he doesn't.
Same goes for florida.....heat, mosquitoes, and maybe a hurricane too. Even september, they are by far our worst two months for weather. Only good thing is its almost empty of tourists and snowbirds (people who come from up north to get out of the cold)
@@jishani1Why would you think South Africa is hot? It isn’t. Cape Town is temperate and Johannesburg is semi-temperate with a dry climate, but it can and does snow there occasionally. Nothing at all like the sweltering American south.

I believe Jono has been influenced by so many videos about Texas. He's looking for hunting and fishing. October is the better month for that in Texas. However, there are plenty of other states that would be perfect for him. Surprisingly, Alaska in August would be perfect weather for hunting and fishing. Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington State, Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Maine, Maryland would also be perfect in August for hunting, fishing. Pennsylvania's interior is beautiful. Oregon, in my opinion, is the most beautiful state. The rainbows are the most vivid in color!
1st. The object you thought looked unreal in the beginning of the video is in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. There is much to see there that is equally unworldly!
2nd. Traveling in August in much of the US is STIFLING HOT.
Every state has some beautiful areas. New York, with the Adirondacks and the Catskills are underrated. Long Island has nice beaches and Long Island Sound, between New York and Connecticut, is great for fishing, too. The Northeast US s scenically underrated.
I totally agree. New York and the New England states are gorgeous, and the mountains are no pushovers. The Whites and the Adirondacks offer some really, really challenging hiking, and the Greens in Vermont and the Catskills are amazing in the fall. And don't sleep on the scenic coastlines, with combinations of beach and rocky headlands. My family has spent more vacation time in New England and New York than any other part of the country.

Alaska has an average temperature during the summer of 60 to 80°. You’re not going to be that cold during the summer. Winter time is a different story, but summer is quite mild and nice.
Texas in August, might want to think about a different cooler region to visit your first time here. Come back to Texas during spring or fall. But if you love the heat, then Texas might be for you. There really are other states than just Texas, it seems that most influencers always chose Texas, not sure why. Don't get me wrong, I love Texas, but I have been in every state, I love most of them.
I've taken two cruises to Alaska in my life, and they were AMAZING. They go up the coast and you visit a ton of the little coastal towns. During the part of the year that the cruises run the weather was actually great. We were told both times we went that we had the best weather of the year lol. I didn't even wear a jacket on most of the days.
August is a great month to be in the mountains. You will find a lot of fun events going on in western Colorado, northern New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, and all the way up into Canada. Summer is a very active time for the Western culture so there will be lots of rodeos and fairs, not just in the big cities🤠 Music and art festivals are aplenty in the mountain towns and high desert alike.

August is the hottest month in the year. It is also one of the most active Hurricane months. October is in the fall, meaning colored trees in the north. Much better weather . Spring time is the best. March, April are great months. Look into the tourist season where you want to go. If you go "off " tourist season hotel cost should be lower.

Took two of my grandsons on a trip to Austin Texas in August for a reunion and the first thing they said when we stopped for gas and hour after crossing the state line into Texas was "Why is it so hot here ". I told them it was only 102 degrees. And after about 4 hours they wanted to know if we were there yet.
Don't fear the heat yes its hot but your car will have AC and so do all of the business you will visit I've lived here my whole life with no worries, plus there are lakes everywhere around Austin you won't regret coming. I spent most of my life in Pennsylvania and hated the cold. Then I moved to Alaska because there was work on the North Slope oil fields. My first winter was week after week of -50 degree F and brutal winds. Since then the cold doesn't me at all. I think my body just had to figure out how to adjust. Yesterday I was shopping around here and there wearing shorts and a T shirt. Temps were between 5 and fifteen degrees. It didn't bother me a bit.
Southern US is too hot for an August visit. Colorado Springs as a base would give easy access to areas in the mountains where August temperatures are perfect. The only drawback of Colorado is taking a day to adjust to the altitude. Also, buy sunblock because thin air doesn't repel the UV very well.
FYI - you can also ride the rails AKA The Amtrak Railroad in California, too. It's very beautiful and you don't have to drive - especially when not sure about California driving...
Alaska really isn't cold in the summer. At least in the most visited parts. I was there in August, and it was quite warm most of the time, even in Fairbanks.

Alaska isn't cold in the summer, man. I went in May when it is light out for 21 hrs a day. I golfed in shorts and tee shirt, and same for four wheeling by the glaciers. It was great

I grew up in Virginia. I spent my summers in Pennsylvania (where my grandmother lives). I now live and work in California (in the Silicon Valley near San Francisco). As beautiful as states like California, Hawaii and Alaska truly are, I still think that my favorite states are Texas, Tennessee and Virginia. This is more because of the PEOPLE in those states. I live in a beautiful state with many wonderful things to do and see. I think that Yosemite might be one of the most beautiful place in the world (even more than Hawaii). However, I really like the food and people of Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.

Jono, just to clarify, just like Antarctica, Alaska has a summer, and during that time, the snow melts, and even in Fairbanks, it can warm up into the 90s. Go in the summer, and you'd be fine. I know, since I drove there back in '84--solo.

My uncle lives in Alaska and he said in the summertime it's really really warm weather and I have a friend that was a neighbor of mine that went camping and hiking in Alaska in the summer and she slept in a tent she said the weather was absolutely beautiful so go during the summer
August . . is SUMMER in the US - so IF you come in August please be sure to check the local temps -- In the southern states, you will have very high humidity in August...same with most of Texas and Florida - it will be hot and humid . . . Northern and Southern California would be okay (still very warm) - but California is expensive .. and very touristy! The mid-west will be in the 80's with moderate humidity and the New England States will be okay as will places like Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Idaho etc.. I know saving money is a biggie - I feel ya on that - but just be aware of our August summers here!! I am one of those lucky American's that has been to every state over my 70 years with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii . . maybe I'll get to those two someday...

I agree with you about the temperatures. The thing with the United States is that its so huge you have to pick travel by zones and season because some areas can get very cold or very hot. I have been fortunate to travel to Europe several times. The geography, history, architecture and diversity of cultures are amazing. But honestly like many Americans my preference is to travel the USA. With limited finances, vacation, and just time ... I want to see during my lifetime, God's awe inspiring creations, that in the US, I think, are probably like no where else in the universe.
Go to Alaska in the Summer. Its usually in the 70s or 80s f. And u get sun all day and night long. lol

August is super hot in most states It is the hottest month of the year. So be prepared for that. Also, it's summer break for kids so the National Parks are a nightmare during this time. October is a much better time to visit both temperature wise and less crowded. I've driven across the US over 9 times in the last 15 years and my advice to foreign visitors would be to visit Utah, Wyoming, Arizona. If you have a lot of time and a good budget then include parks in California like Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley. Don't go to San Francisco or Los Angeles. Dirty and dangerous.
Never leave anything valuable in your car. No matter where you visit. Homeless are everywhere now and they will smash and grab from your vehicle. In general, inside the national parks it's safer with the exception of some parks along the southern border.
Always respect nature. There are bison, moose, elk, bears, wolves, coyotes, mountain lions, etc. across the US. Keep your head on a swivel.

The Wreck you were talking about is The Edmund Fitzgerald. There is a song sung by Gordon Lightfoot called 'The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald'. The ship had a few nicknames, including 'The Titanic of the Great Lakes', 'The Pride of the American Side' and many others. In November, the lake (The Great Lakes has more fresh water combined than all other lakes in the world.), can get stormy, and the Edmund Fitzgerald was loaded with Iron Ore for the last run of the season. It was supposed to go to Toledo, Ohio, but it sank in Whitefish Bay.
Lake Superior is very cold and Native Americans said the lake never gives up the dead. It is true.
Maine and the rest of the New England states has beautiful scenery, in Connecticut, one of America's most beautiful highways is the Merritt Parkway and another beautiful roadway is Connecticut Route 169 in the quiet corner of Connecticut (The northeastern part of Connecticut).
The summer is when schools are out here, however, some parents do homeschool. When you visit, in August, I'd visit Maine, New Hampshire (recommend visiting Mount Washington, you might see snow at the summit even if the weather is warm). Hope you pick a region of the USA, instead of going here and there.
If you want to visit an amusement park, I'd tell you to visit Lake Compounce, the oldest amusement park in continuous operation.

If you could fly to barcelona , you can get one of the cheapest flights and one of the best ones into the states. I always use LEVEL airlines when i go to europe, its cheap ,its good and its comfortable . Sometimes you can get non stop fligths to Los Angeles from barcelona for under 600 dllrs round trip on economi class with time even cheaper. Last year i went to Barcelona and paid 300 us dollrs for a round trip with 6 months in advance . I trully recomend LEVEL Airlines . They also Fly from Paris . They do non stop flights to New York Or Boston and i think those are cheaper. I fly from los angeles

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All these most beautiful videos are subjective. I will take my the state of Michigan over any state we got it all . The Great Lakes don't have any sharks to eat you or our rivers and lakes do not have any gators and pythons . Most people seem to think that Michigan only consist of the bad areas of Detroit and use that for the whole state.
Would not recommend visiting in August. Unless it’s Washington State / Montana / Oregon. Even there can be very bad heat waves. And the rest of the country is way too hot (deathly in desert states and brutally humid in the east / southeast / northeast). September / October or May are far better and winter is great for the Deep South / Florida / Texas and Arizona.
Move here and every weekend and vacation becomes an adventure... passports not required. get a reliable car for weekend road trips (and vacations) or just fly or train tour other states. This is how Americans relax. Most of the US is pure eye candy, even from your car. 😁

California has very strict antipollution laws which have been in force for 40 years. Every car built in the USA must meet these laws. So as of 2024 pollution is nowhere near the problem it has been in the past with the exception of the Central Valley.
