Great video Amy and great album by Yes!!! Rhino reissues are awesome!!!!🌺💐🦋❤️🦋💐🌺
🏴 65 years old and became a fan when The Yes arrived in my life age 13. Prior to this I had been raised on Bach et al from age 5 and have walked the Sahara with both in my mp3's...
@@barriereid9244 Hello Scotland 💙 🤍
That is so amazing! Thank you for being here!
always a delight to see you Amy and your great enthousiasm thanks!
@@fabricehaesendonck196 I love creating these videos for you…my passion just flows when talking about records…music and beautiful songwriting. I can feel it from within. 🎶🤍🎶
@@Amysvinylexperience thank you my dear
Up there with my favourite Roger Dean gatefolds , and certainly in my top 5 YES albums. Can still remember the sound of it on my first serious turntable. A Sansui model , running through NAD amps and Celestion loudspeakers. The Gates of Delirium is such a perfect side of music. Just Gorgeous , loud and manic , and beautiful and soft... melting your heart with SOON.
Wow , band in absolutely peak form , and let's not forget Patrick Moraz and how incredible and different his contribution is.
Sounds like an essential pressing there Amy , a great video of a great YES album. 😍🎵🎵🤘
Thank you! And wow…beautifully said! ✨🎶
Relayer is an album I never totally enjoyed back in the day but I will give it a try again. Thanks for the Great video.
Pull the lyrics out, get cozy and allow your mind to escape into imagination….float. ✨🎶
This was my first time watching one of your videos. I completely relate to your sentiment about people judging the collecting and my dream has always been to meet someone else who shares the desire to simply chill and enjoy records.
Welcome to the Channel Christopher! Yes, the moment you put a number on an album you’re imprinting that number in your memory, and that’s the way you will always experience that album…that’s just duality of the mind. I like to relate to music as an experience…not from favorite to least, or best to worst. That’s just not my way. Life is more enjoyable when you’re living in flow.✨🎶
I’m happy you found the channel, I hope you enjoy it! Next is (Black Sabbath) the reissue from Rhino High Fidelity. I’ll be working on that video tomorrow. 🤘🏼
@@Amysvinylexperience I have my copy 🦇

One Of My Top Favorite YES LPs...
my favorite Yes album. I probably should probably pickup this new Rhino High Fidelity issue.
It’s a game changer sound wise…and the high gloss color correction gatefold …just gorgeous!…add the other 2 YES albums from Atlantic 75 Analogue Productions and your YES collection just got a glow up ✨😁🎵✨
Nice to see you on the channel. Thank you for being here. I have Black Sabbath Rhino High Fidelity uploading right now.
Take care friend.
I just ordered this reissue, can't wait to hear it!
That is fantastic!!!
Relayer and Close to the Edge are really hard for me to choose as the best Yes album. For me, the greatest Yes song is Awaken off Going for the One. I'm glad to see you appreciate such a masterpiece such as Relayer. ❤
@@Alanb_69 ohhhh wow wow wow I am impressed with your direction. I couldn’t agree more with you and those cosmic philosophical lyrics that are so intriguing.
“Workings of man set to ply out historical life
Reregaining the flower of the fruit of his tree
All awakening, all restoring you”
Good Rhino. Even did the cover more justice👍✌️ thanks Amy
Thank you for being here Dave! Rhino killed it with this reissue all round!
Great video. I subscribed.
Thank you. I hope you enjoy the channel 🙂🎶
Total work of art and journey from cover to music and back again....
You nailed it! ✨🤘🏼
i like the YES pun: "I m a sound chaser"
Haha…I was hoping someone would catch that fun….only those who truly know the tracks! 😁 Nice! 😁✨🤘🏼
Its such a great album and you did a great job with your review. I too really get into the lyrics, bums me when the lyrics arent included. Ya know many people dont like audio books but really isnt an album like Relayer an audio book with music? Look forward to more of your videos!
@@TheAuditoryVinyl I live for concept albums…my favorite kind of music! Anything that makes me float! ✨
I made the same mistake on one of my videos talking about this release. Relayer came out in 1974, not 1977. Also, the insert does not have photos of "records", that is a picture of the original master tape box. I was hoping you would talk more about the differences in the sound quality between the old and the new. Keep on making videos.
Haha…yes I had to write the year in the description. ✨
Your feedback helps a lot! I will be more mindful…I just get so excited about the poetry and songwriting. 😁 Thank you!
Beautiful amy,and good taste relayer is great
Excellent review. Relayer is a tough Yes album to get through because it`s pretty dense. I`ve been waiting for new re- mixes or master to clean it up. ( along with Going For The One and Tormato) Hopefully this will be the last version I`ll need to buy. Take care and keep up the great content.
@@michaelfavreau7617 I don’t believe you will be disappointed with the quality…wait until you see the gatefold your going to drop 😁🤘🏼
Thank you for your feedback and for being here.
Amazing album, my First from Yes
This album will take you through the battle fields of emotion.
Thank you for being here. I hope you enjoy the channel as it grows 🎶
Hi Amy. Rhino did a great job on Relayer. Looks amazing. Great video. Peter.
@@MrMojoRisin Thank you! And thank you for being here! 😊🎶
Legendary album.
Legendary album, Legendary art, Legendary poem ✨🤘🏼
Some days I wake up and 'Relayer' is my favourite Yes album and on other days it is 'Close to the Edge'
I couldn’t resonate more!
Who knows what records you might be able to uncover in your travels. All the while your home system will be calling your name 😁 i think you were on point throughout. Agreed that second to last song sounds very sensual! Just do what you love Amy, cant wait for Sabbath analysis 🤘
Ohhhh the adventures I will have ✈️ ✨😊
And I will hear my turntable and records calling my name! I will need some great earbuds to keep company away from my records🎵 But yes lol…stumbling on “Sound Chaser” to say some words…the vision is in my head…but my mouth was afraid to reveal too much of my mind 😂🤘🏼
Great! 90125 Atlantic 75 series also a winner.
YES 90125 Atlantic 75 sounds incredible, very dynamic and exciting. ✨ The original is pretty impressive too…makes a great comparison.
Relayer is almost as good as Close to the Edge. For me Soundchaser lets it down, It's just not good enough...and a bit annoying actually, for me
Thanks for hanging out! Interesting you mention Sound Chaser as your least favorite…I love to hear people battle these two albums. 🎶💥🎶
The RHF does sound great yet I have no other comparison. I'm a fellow Sound Chaser as well so that's all that matters to like-minded folks like us 😀 I do prefer Topographic Oceans more than this title as each side of that double album contains just one song. I do like when Yes goes all Prog and does lengthy tracks! Speaking of Anderson, I'm not sure if you have his Christmas Album (Three Ships) but his vocals are sublime! Cheers
@@LifelongMusicJunkie Look at that friend…two peas in a pod, Topographic Oceans is my favorite YES album too…lol ✨😁🤘🏼 And don’t get me started with Christmas my favorite time of year! No, I do not have Jon Anderson Christmas…now I know what I’m looking for before Christmas Season begins! 🎄 I appreciate you mentioning this! I can’t wait to hear Jon’s angelic Christmas voice. Wait until I make a Christmas video…I have all the old fashioned Christmas records and a bunch more lol…
Not sure if you noticed I called Black Sabbath Atlantic 75…I can’t believe I said that because it is Rhino. I had to leave a message in the description below. I hope Rhino doesn’t come take all my High Fidelity records away lol….😆 😂
Great album, one of Yeses finest, only Close to the Edge beats it. The Gates of Delirium is truly a masterpiece, based on Tolstoys War & Peace, if you look on the fantastic artwork you can make out the three horseman of the apocalypse. 👍
@@martinbishop2966 yes, What a beautiful sketch of the horsemen…my absolute favorite piece on the cover! Just gorgeous artwork captivating the whole story….and that beautiful poem dedicated to the artwork…A masterpiece in itself!
Thank you for being here and for sharing the horsemen. ✨
1977 ?
rather 1974 ...I bought it in 1975
Still have the original scratched by the cat on the side , a newer vinyl version in good condition & the Steven Wilson remix in the vinylboxset & the papersleeve set with the definitive cd & bluray version with all the extra's.
@@Spock105 that is awesome!
yes, the release date was 1974 not 1977, that was my error I noticed after my upload…I left the correct release date in the description box.
Thank you for being here.
Cute/Lovely Lady...🩵💙🩶🔥🔥🔥
those are copies of the master tape boxes
Great video but it was 1974
Thank you..😇
Amy, your original is actually a repress. The original catalog # is 18122 mastered by "Porky Pecko".
Ohhhh darn! It’s so tricky…thank you so much for sharing that info with us. I (now) have it on my List of albums to seek! ✨😊
I left a note in the description. Thank you so much Michael for taking the time to send me the catalog number / mastering. That was so kind of you.
@@Amysvinylexperience SD 18122 to be exact. They are not hard to find in VG+ or better condition, and they are cheap. There's a ga-zillion of them for sale on Discogs.
What a very nice pressing this is i really like the cover on this reissue thank you for the excellent review Amy 🤘👍🤍
Thank you Marvin! This video gives no justice to the gatefold in your hand…it’s gorgeous! 🎶
Yes i can only imagine how beautiful it is when you hold the album in your hands 😊
