  • Average White Band performs an Isley Brothers cover of "Work To Do," which appeared on its 1974 album titled "AWB" (Atlantic Records). The single, which was written by O'Kelly Isley, Jr., Rudolph Isley & Ronald Isley, along w/ Andres Titus, peaked at No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Disco chart.
    The Scotland-based group has announced that after 52 years in existence, it is retiring. Bassist & founding member Alan Gorrie reveals this is the last U.S. Tour for the band. The other remaining founding bandmate is guitarist Onnie McIntyre, who is featured in this video. Average White Band opened for the band WAR on night #2 of the three-day-long Great Midwest Ribfest event.

    will be seeing them in tucson on nov 21st for the last time. saw them for the first time in 1976 in honolulu. saw brent carter when he was with ToP twice. two of my all time favorite bands.

    is it Brent Carter on lead vocal ? What a voice, favorite singer of TOP !

      I saw them in Glasgow and I believe it was Brent Carter on vocals and Rob Aries on keyboard and bass (what a player). The 2 horns made a difference too, was the best gig I've seen in decades. A wonderful farewell concert, Let's go round again,, for the last time unfortunately.
