Well of course, Terry Kath, Bill Champlain, Peter Cetera, & several others are not there, but Robert Lamm, Jimmy Panko, the sax player, & the other keyboard player are! And that’s good enough for me!!!

Enjoy this people time is moving faster now. Great bands like Chicago will soon be another great memory...and I mean great. What a great gift of their musical genius for our enjoyment... Chicago an American and Chicagoan original. God bless guys and thankyou!

From a recent interview w/ Emilio Castillo just days ago, sounds like T.O.P. plans to add to this holiday collection of songs, possibly adding a song or two each year, looking ahead. Castillo stated how the approach was to make an album that would have some lasting power. Producer & arranger Joe Vannelli sure helped fulfill that aim w/ a strong record. For a group that's been around since 1968, it sure has delivered some incredible music in recent years --- Soul Side Of Town (2018) & Step Up (2020) are as good as it gets from the funk & soul band from Oakland.

That was such a great show! Christmas stuff was fun, but was so glad they also did Horses, Diggin' on James Brown, etc.

The first thing that drew me to this interpretation/ arrangement is the changing time signatures. There are a number of 3/4-metered holiday songs-including this one. But, the 4/4 is cool & T.O.P. makes it their own. Anybody can make a Christmas record. Takes effort to create something in line w/ a band or artist’s brand.

This is a great band and I have seen them in person. Uncharacteristically, some really sour notes in this performance. Still love the band.

will be seeing them in tucson on nov 21st for the last time. saw them for the first time in 1976 in honolulu. saw brent carter when he was with ToP twice. two of my all time favorite bands.

Medina Ballroom started hosting (back in the early 80's I'd say) the Minnesota Motorcycle Riders Association (MMRA) winter parties for years! Good times a long time ago...and some cold a** January winter nights having to drive home....

Wayne Nelson’s voice is clearly on its way out; he is the only link to the original LRB so I wonder what Stephen Housden will do when he retires. Will he put out a band with absolutely NO connection to the band or will he retire the name? I fear he’ll continue the band without any connection to the past milking it for all he can. Maybe he should have licensed the name back to Shorrock, Gobles & Birtles when he had the opportunity . I bet he would have made more $$$ than he has by licensing it to Wayne.

I haven't been to a Chicago show in years and I'm not overly familiar with the more recent lineups, but I like how that drummer tips his hat of Danny Seraphine especially with the hi-hat accents. I liked Tris just fine, but he seemed to streamline Danny's more intricate drum arrangements whereas this fellow, Walfredo Reyes Jr., seems to be restoring some of the cool complexity which made Chicago's drum sound distinctive.

Great but definitely missing Deen on drums and vocals still good though and there album is killer.

I can't decide whether I'd more like to sing with Knesia; or marry her. Sadly, neither will happen. But oddly, I find myself arranging vocal harmonies more often than imagining registering for wedding gifts.

This is probably the only Toto-song that I cannot listen to with other vocalists than Bobby K. Never had issues with Joseph W. or others singing Hold the Line or other songs that were originally sung by Bobby, but this one in my mind demands the power that Bobby had in his voice back in the day.

Wow! Can't believe it's taken 4 yrs to stumble upon this gem. What a great rendition. Hope they make a studio recording of it, even if it is a bit of a deep cut for Chicago/Jason Scheff fans.
