It no longer matters. The HD motor company can not just lower prices. We now have access to Harley corporate balance sheets. This motor company in the red by almost 500 million. They are forced to sell bikes with substandard parts, just to generate the "shop-income" in some veil attempt to service some of these loans. This company in such a death spiral, is now only a matter of time before the banks start calling them in on some of these loans........
I wouldn't actually put down money on any of them because performance in the twisties is far more important to me. 1:38 Remember the white Willie G. 1971 FX Superglide? It seemed so strange at the time. Now it wouldn't get a second glance. This Lowrider does bear a family resemblance.
Hi Ron. I am with you, LOVE THE DELUXE. I am In California and for some reason people think of this model as a woman's bike or a short guys bike. I am six feet and the bike fits me PERFECT. I wish I could put a pic of my Deluxe here for you. My 2010 has the best seat ever compared to the crappy one they just showed. Used to come with a better seat and grab bar on its back. I don't know why they change some things. I added bags to mine too. Keep Riding......Gary/L.A.
This is one of the few video reviews where a real guy (over 6") sits on the bike. It changes it completely. I am over 6", and really disappointed to sit on Harley's that are quite cramped. I have no idea about the average height of Harley (or motorcycle) riders, but I simply don't understand why the seat heights are so low. I ride a k1600 and have the seat at the "normal" height which is fine. I feel like I'm squatting on a toilet seat on a Harley.

Sirry....will stick to my good old Evo with a concession to electronic ignition.....simple, eternally rebuild able, reliable and better looking.....plus you never have to sit on the side of the road scratching your head as to which minuscule electronic part failed.

I bought the Low Rider S in September. My opinion is that the younger generations HATE CHROME. The Heritage Classic was my next choice and the Street Glide Special was my choice if I were completely frivolous with my cash. Great video.
This informative video (thanks!) perfectly illustrates how physically small the whole Softail line is and has been for many, many years. It's as though Harley can't keep up with the evolution of man but instead keeps making these bikes as though the average height of riders is somewhere around 5'6" or 5'7". Anyone over 5'11" becomes cramped on these, let alone how outright ridiculously cramped a 6'2" and over person is AND looks on one; as if they're straddling my little niece's tricycle, knees high above the tank. Truly bizarre and confounding. They are superb (now) cruiser motorcycles (we own one) and its a real shame that one is forced to look at the touring class for reasonable sized bikes. Maybe they should make an in-between range that would sort of be a + sized Softail.
I like the breakout and the fat boy. They would fit my height comfortably (6’ 4” ). However the cost to import to my country Trinidad and Tobago will be expensive.
the guy says on the Street Bob the only chrome you can see on the bike are the spokes??? The pushrods are chrome (part of the engine which should be blacked out too, the cylinder headers... )

My Dyna Superglide will NEVER EVER be replaced by anything softail. No interest in the M8 single camshaft engine either. Great job on the video, NOTHING personal, I just despise the route the Motor Company has taken.🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸 I'm a Engine Builder and Engineer, and yes I understand the reasoning for the 4 valves, but going BACK to a single camshaft is STRICTLY a money-saving, please the board, cost cutting excuse for new technology. Primarily, it's the styling that's why I would never see myself on one, or racing at the dragstrip. So no thanks.

Your dealer is correct...The Low Rider S is one of the few bikes where forward controls can't be installed because of the placement of the brake master cylinder. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
I like the low-rider, Low-rider S is nice also but i am more of a Street Glide or Ultra Glide kinda guy and was planning on buying a new 202 bike but i am really intrigued by the 2020 Indian Challenger.
Women, it's what H D is catering to nowadays and that's why they're spouting off about how "low" all their seats are. I'm at 6'3" also and have no interest in a touring bike. I will say half of my left leg for a shifting do they have an automatic transmission for these bikes would like to still ride please comment back thank you very much looking at this gets me thinking of Riding again please let me know
Hey Martin. Right now from the factory there is no automatic option, however, in the past we have installed what is called an Air Shifter onto customers bikes who are in a similar situation to you. Essentially that allows you to shift using a button on the handlebars. Stay safe and happy holidays.

I have watched many videos where they have people show casing the bikes and it always seem that it is someone to be over 6ft tall. Why it always this way???...Does it have to do with it just looking better in some way?...I don't believe that it is just a quintsedence.
Being 6’2” myself I definitely feel scrunched up on certain bikes depending on seat height, foot control placement, handlebars, etc... it’s not only a comfort thing, no one wants too look like Donkey Kong from Mario Kart. I think the size comparison are mostly geared toward tall riders. Shorter riders look fine on anything except maybe the largest, bagged-out touring bikes

Its easy on my 2001 FLSTF .one saddle screw and you can get to it easy .My 98 wide glide was not easy .I could not believe the amount of tools I got out to change the battery on that bike .

6'3 , thousands in bars and controls to feel comfy on a harley. Still a Vic man.

I am 5.8 and have a 1450 Fat Boy .( had a wide glide before) the Fat Boy is perfect for my height .( so was the wide glide )
