Dearest France you are an amazing artist! I'm addicted to your channel, so so peaceful and relaxing! Thank you so much for sharing! Please take care. Lots of love😊💕💕
Such a wonderful subtle page...such complex textures. It's so wonderful to see you again! You have been one of my most consistent sources of inspiration
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your art and your sharing your story of your accident. I relate to it a lot. 40 (!) years ago 8 Oct 2017 I was injured by a doctor after I fell from a horse. Another doctor saved my life and my arm. Many years of recovery. I still struggle with art in part because i lost much use and dexterity of my dominant hand. Your story of your accident and your art move me deeply. 🙏 Thank you.
France, your mind is such a beautiful place. Thank you for this intensely meditative journey. I wish I had your techniques. Such a miracle that I found you.
Your videos as so mesmerizing and peaceful. Thank you so very much for sharing your time and talents with us. Your work is always absolutely beautiful!
I love your style! Such a beautiful Journal, you are inspiring me. I also love how you don't over embellish your pages and take time really working that background. It's gorgeous!
I love this. Thx FYI...I watched this over and over listening and using what I have...thank you again for your talking me through it...took longer than expected but I didn't stop. Now it's finished, repurposed cookbook, some decoart things I never used til you showed how, Gelatos, inktense pencils.
I was totally transfixed with your video France Papillon, loved how you used all those different mediums, how beautiful.... subbed you so I don't miss any of your talent! :)
As always, I enjoy watching you create. I love the titles you give your pages, this one in particular. I have a difficult time trusting anyone since my much loved husband of 47 years passed away a year ago. My closest friends and family really let me down after his passing and vanished to parts unknown. I’ve tried to understand but cannot. Maybe I should do a No Trust page and work through the confusion that caused? Lol
Hi France, I am watching this video again, I really love this one. Can you tell me please, the brown mat you are working on is it a teflon mat? Thanks, Nita
France, when journalling do you have a definite plan before you start or do you let it grow as you work? I am just beginning to journal and am finding that it is better if I let it develop as I go rather than stick rigidly to a plan. Also, you seem to know exactly what colour goes with what etc, are you a professionally trained artist? Can I also ask why the colours are so different when you are working on the page and then at the end of the video? Sorry for all the questions, I hope you don't mind :-) I love watching you work and the end results are amazing.
Hi Nita, I will be answering the plan question in a Q and A soon on my blog. You might want to subscribe to my newsletter to know when this goes up! www.france-papillon.com As for the colors: my video camera distorts the colors. The same happens in the photos but I do try to keep the photos as close to reality as possible, which I can not do with my video camera. That one needs an upgrade by the way ;) I am a full time mixed media artist, but I am self thought :) xo
This is a wonderful process but why waste it in an art journal? I have trouble deciding (or not) to work in an art journal for this reason. If you did this even on cheap board or canvas at least you could add it to a body of work if needed! How do you decide? Art you just practicing and learning too?
I don't have to decide Sandra, I'm an art journalist :) I don't enjoy making art to hang it on the wall. I do enjoy letting my soul talk in my journal, for me and if I feel like it, I will share it here. My art journal is not a place to practice though, it is a place of expression. And looking back at it, my journal gives me tons of information about myself! :) xx
@@francepapillon I see. Okay, that makes sense. So it's a collection of practice pages that you can refer to and create from as well if you so desire. I've forged forward and created a few art journals now and get it! Thank you so much.
@@simpleartofhealing286 it is not a place of practice, just like a diary is not a place of practice for writing. It is the collection of my thoughts, feelings and emotions of the moment, yet instead of writing them they are expressed with colors, textures and shapes ;)
So you're working intuitively. Channeling? If I work in this way it just comes out as a jumbled up mess! If I 'think' about it and plan it it works. Although, I'm not ever liking the 'works' either. Sometimes, although rarely. I think some people have 'it' and some people don't. That's what I'm getting at. Also, I think that one mostly needs some art education. And practice. I've wasted so many journals and materials and was getting so frustrated. Not everyone can work in this way. I think you need both probably. I'm still trying to figure it out but I'm getting closer now! It's a very good thing that there's plenty of people to learn from here on youtube although some are better teachers than others. I like your style, although if I put my thoughts, feelings and emotions into my page it would not look very 'pleasant'. Perhaps I'll start one book working in this way and another in another way and observe the difference. Feel it? Hmmmm. So, I'lI call it my therapy book and not care what the outcome is? Perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised!
I’ve been rewatching all of your videos. They are very calming and yet informative!!

Hello France, thank you for your response. I love your work, please keep posting ;-)
Beautiful Art. Please which Colours for the background are you using? Is it Acryl or Ink?
Those are fluid acrylics from Decoart ☺️
Thanks
