We have this thing called demerits and merits. If a teacher sees any students hug, high five, handshake, etc. In the hallway, that's one or two demerits depending on the teacher who saw it. 4 demerits is a detention on Friday and detention is 2 hours for eighth graders. I can relate to your school.

I’ve actually seen this when my guy friend (he was born female and transitioned in high school) was once caught with his binder showing by a transphobic teacher and the teacher gave him detention because “he was still a girl” and he ended up talking to the district about it and the teacher (who was a substitute) was banned from entering the school.
This teacher had their child in the school and since they weren’t able to go into the grounds they pulled their child out of the school. That child was the biggest bully in the school so we were all cheering for joy that they left.

The one rule I’ll never understand is “when you’re getting beat or bullied, you can’t fight back or you’re in trouble too” yeah because we all want to just stand there while a bully beats us to a pulp, praying that a teacher will see -_- My friend was in this situation where she was getting cornered in the bathroom, so she kneed the bully in the groin and and made a run for it, she’s getting in school suspension and detention now for “using unnecessary force”

We were learning a science lesson and she asks a question. My friend answers, “plant” and the teacher goes, “that’s correct!” so we all wrote it down in our notebooks.
Then, on the day of the test, we have to answer the same question. We all chose “plant” (except for 2 kids) and then when we get our tests back, we got it wrong 🤦🏾♀️ And then she goes: “The answer is decomposer, it’s obvious!” And “Stop blaming me! It’s not my fault you got it wrong.

I’d recommend to get to a schooling system that’s actually good, there’s a lot of trashy school systems that can only barely smile because they know there that too low level of trash manage it.
There’s a few ideas I can think of but don’t let them limit you, do some further research aswell.
1. Home school.
2. Very high recommended school near your area (School with little to no bad reputation, and decent gradation rates, and grade scores)
3. Private school (they only TEND to be better, not all of them are 100% great)
It's mainly to do with not being able to expel you unless you are suspended enough times.
I'll have the first 2 terms off so that I don't have school

My school takes away our phones for the entire day which is really not smart. For example, once we had a tornado and half the grade was hysterical or hyperventilating (like three kids actually passed out) and none of us were allowed to reach our parents. We had to hide in the boys bathroom, which was really gross.
I’m still convinced it was a miracle sent to save me from English class because I forgot half of my book report at home.
Fun fact: If you’re looking at a tornado and it looks like it’s not moving and it’s not getting bigger or smaller, it’s coming towards you.

That's the story of my life!! I have epilepsy and I was bullied for 2 months! It was only when I was nearly jumped (beat up) that the counselors decided to freaking talk to them. That's all they did. It was in middle school, and it was a "zero tolerance school." I'm still pissed about it to this day.

The rule my dad had when he taught school was actually a mistake...
The principal announced over the intercom that backpacks were not allowed in the hallways. Meaning you had to leave them in lockers before the end of the day. And another announcement that said that the rule will be in the handbook.
The principal went to the office to announce this but mixed up saying backpack and handbook. So it wen like this
“A new rule has now been added so no handbooks will be allowed in the hallways”
My dad had to give out the handbooks and the students said they couldn’t because they weren’t allowed to bring them outside the classroom. The rule was changed not the day it was said, not the following day, but until a week later when people were making jokes about it and no one would read the handbooks since they couldn’t leave the classroom and no one would take them home with them. That was the stupid rule my dad had as a teacher.

If the authorities can't be trusted, you'll have to take things into your own hands. Someone jumps you? Put hand sanitizer in their eyes. Schools can't ban it, and it's not technically permanent.

Maybe it's just me, but if they had that rule in my school, I'd severely try and push the limits to see what teachers thought of the rule.
I'd gather a group of good actors (students), try to emphasize we were feeling distracted or sad and then just faint everywhere, every class and wake up crying, saying we were feeling lightheaded and asking for food. I mean, just make it réálly difficult for the teachers to refuse.
If they didn't give it to us, you've got a solid case with (possible) evidence.

After a couple of idiots drew offensive graffiti on the walls of the bathroom, my high school (with 6 thousand students) decided to implement these rules for JUST THE BOYS' BATHROOMS:
-No going to the bathroom between periods
-All but 2 of the boys' bathrooms are closed (there are normally like 7 i think)
-Students have to log their name and ID number as they enter and leave the bathroom, as well as the time they entered and left
-Monitors were put outside the bathrooms to enforce these rules
Basically this created a huge sanitation problem, within a week shit was found on the staircases on MULTIPLE occasions, and the school got rid of all the new rules.
Pretty much the only one of those rules they had to enforce to fix the graffiti was to have monitors or some sort of guards outside the bathrooms, or maybe have cameras facing the entrance of the bathrooms to make it easier to identify or deter students. Closing 5/7 bathrooms is ridiculous.

If this is a private school than you must of signed a device agreement about usages of you phone and they could take your phone. This all depends on your laws. If your school have taken your phone for a whole day that's illegal. You can also refuse to give them your phone, they cannot legally take if off your person.

I got sent home for this in rain and changed my boots to shoes that were awfully bad quality and i got 30 mins late to my favourite class maths, when I entered they all looked at me because I was soaking wet and if my house wasn’t close to my school they would ask my father to bring my shoes and go back to his work then i would get a detention for a “lack of uniform”
When I was in elementary school the teacher would make all the boys sit on the sidewalk during the entire recess period if just one boy was misbehaving in class. This occured almost everyday even though I never did anything wrong. The same rule applied to the girls, but the female teacher would never make them sit out for recess. How convenient... After many complaints from parents, my teacher got in a lot of trouble from our PRINCIPAL for wrongly punishing her male students. The principle allowed all of the boys, in my clsss, attend an extended recess that lasted for the entire school day. That was an awesome day of school.

Ok so when I was in elementary school they made these horrible lunch rules that make me cry as I write this. (We had no freedom to sit by who we wanted to.) In kindergarten there was this rule where you had to sit in boy-girl order, which was actually not bad cause I got to sit by my crush ❤ and then in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade we got to sit by whoever we wanted to, which was great! In 4th grade the rules were a bit stricter, you had to sit by who you were in line next to, and me and my friends found a way to get around the rule by sneaking up in line when the teachers weren't looking (I'm pretty sure the other kids were annoyed by it but were too scared to say anything, LOL). The rule sucked, but we dealt with it. In 5th grade, however, the teachers made some ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE RULE where you had to sit next to the people who had names next to you in line. They called it, "Number Order". Everybody hated it. It made me extremely sad. This is where I start crying. We were not allowed to sit next to any of our friends unless they had names next to you in line. I was there, surrounded by people I wanted ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with. This one kid would constantly say mean things. He would also say really inappropriate things. I DID have 2 friends nearby, but one of them obviously didn't want to talk to me, and the other was too obsessed with her books. The teachers thought the kids were happy, which made me KNOW that they would only look at table 1, this entire group of friends got to sit together because their last names started with the same letter. They didn't realize how much the rest of us hated it. I try to forget about the dreaded number order. All it does is make me sad and mad.

Happened to me all the time, I remember one time I was being held down and punched in the face, and I spat at him in defence. I needed ice on my head, he needed to wash his shirt, we both got suspended. I was told next time to go tell a teacher. How the hell am I supposed to tell a teacher when I'm being held down!

At my school the girls shirts where literally see through and we couldn’t wear the boys ones or have white shirts underneath. We also couldn’t wear regular socks, only ones bought at school or we would get a bluey ( pretty much wear you went around the school picking up rubbish for recess and lunch) this wouldn’t be that bad if we where allowed to eat before or after picking up all the trash
