Pitiful? We had won the FA Cup the year before. We were runners up in the European Cup Winners Cup that very year. We beat Arsenal in the FACup final four years later and were beaten finalists in the League Cup in 1981.

This was the Saturday after West Ham won the quater final of the Cup Winners Cup. We were completely exhausted.
Arsenal were poor in the mid 70's but still they were miles better than pitiful Wham..
