    If only I had these instructions and 10 hours to spare, this would have come in handy during the rivet gun shortage of '08.

    Despite all the negative comments and the too large holes in the pieces of metal , it's ingenious and if you have ever been to the Philippines where chinese tools cost 3 x more than in the USA (if you can find them ) , and needed to rivet something with pop rivets, this is pretty darn neat in a pinch !

  • @MrSaerrock
    @MrSaerrock 6 років тому +61

    Worse than a proper pop rivet gun, rivets aren't being fully tightened. A lot of work & time wasted

      Yep like all his other crap you could see them falling to the bottom of the hole when they snapped. Next week something you’ve never seen and can’t live without the wheel.

    I guess I need to decide whether a welder would be cheaper than just buying a rivet gun, good idea if you already have all the necessary equipment.

    If you look at 4.16 the end of the rivet has been hit with a hammer to tighten the rivet in the hole. A totally useless tool, i dont know how Mr Suny thinks it is worth sharing on UA-cam.

    You need a way of having the slot in a collar which is "floating" on the threaded shaft to prevent the rivet rotating... should be an easy modification and much better results..

      Do you have extra iron pipe laying around, an angle grinder and a welder? If not, you could purchase rivet gun cheaper than likely any one of these(with the possible exception of the pipe), and it would likely work better. These can be had for under $20 at harbor freight before coupons. I believe they even have one for $10.

      Totally agree bud. Gotta give a little credit for using his brain to come up with something like that but for Fuck sake....this is more like re-inventing the fucking wheel. A totally useless and sad waste of time. I think you can buy a shitty rivet gun at a dollar store and it would still do a better job. Lol. If all else fails, just go borrow your neighbours rivet gun. I guess people just simply like to make UA-cam videos. I wish I could send him a bill for my time for watching.

      Não vi funcionalidade, pois ele torce e quebra a haste antes do rebite dar o aperto final deixando folgado, além disso ele corta o video após ele unir as peças, justamente para não mostrar que as peças ficam soltas, certamente ele bate após tirar da morsa para dar o aperto final, ferramenta inutil!🤔🤔

    Rivet installing tools use leverage rather than power and done less than a second AND you are twisting the nail instead of pulling it straight back most of energy is transferred to the twist as you can see the head is not fully secured.
    I would rather bend the nail and use a nail remover if I don’t have a right tool
