I'd put droidekas much higher because they are arguably the best pathfinders in the game. They can all be controlled individually, come in decent numbers, can capture stuff and are much faster then normal infantry, meaning that you can start a ground battle by immediately splitting them off and rushing them to objectives and they will usually get to most of them before the enemy. That is very valuable for many ground battles.
Funnily enough, I think Droideka units aren’t as good for the CIS as they are for the CSA. Using them on defense however i have noticed is a night and day difference, especially if you are on a map where a landing zone is about halfway between you and the enemy where they can outspeed and reach the landing zone first most often. I just don’t find the need to bring more than one or two units of them on any attacking army as they can be squishy when electing to engage a fleeing enemy (rolling up and disabling shields which means you often need to micromanage)
This is why I put them at that tier. They really can work great for denying caps in defensive battles. But for your own invasions, I find the AI gets to neutral posts too quickly so gunships work better.
Great video! I agree almost entirely with the list except for the Commando droids, the J-1 Proton, and the B-2 super battle droids. For me the B-2 is the best infantry unit you can probably use except for when you are facing artillery which would make me argue for “S”. The commando droid is unfortunately a bit too underpowered for my tastes. It is meant to be a counterpart to the ARC trooper however when compared to their GAR counterparts, they tend to lack additional means of damage to vehicles. This makes them one of the few units that i will often sell off for the little bit of cash i would get to put into buying a regular b1 team in their place. Finally the J-1 is one of the best and worst units I have played with. When keeping your distance and doing slow pushes on planets like Mon Calamari or worlds with similar long distance objectives they are amazing especially with Meat shields like the MTT or b1 hordes but in close quarters maps they tend to lack the ability of maneuvering to a safe position and as such i would drop them down to a “D”. Too niche for my tastes but incredibly powerful damage dealers.
Yeah you raise good points across the board there. I did juggle with a lot of that myself. I'd like to put the Supers at S but realistically, there is just no shortage of infantry killing power in this game. As for the J-1s, its really a personal preference thing. Like you say, they can be the best and worst, but I think they can work wonders just enough for C tier.
Love the EaW tier lists

You should do tier lists for each faction in Thrawns Revenge too
Yeah I plan to. Maybe even faction rankings for TR as well. We'll see.
@@theedifiedgamer8350 as a CSA player, i look forward to it
Try opening with 2 crab droids and 2 spideys they'll really perform well that way
