I've learned your version enough to kind of limp through it, and oddly enough, also learned another version in the same tuning. That makes three different ways I've come across to play this song so far. You do a great job with it.
@shinboxer72 Thanks for the kind words. I've been asked before to teach and make a video tutorial but frankly I don't have a clue how to teach. I've always been self taught and am a rather idiosyncratic type, which doesn't seem to translate to making money and being successful, etc. Maybe someday I'll have built up enough experience to offer beginner lessons on frailing / clawhammer / and teaching basic old time songs. But right now I just don't have the confidence. Cheers!
@aestusx Hi there I do believe I'm using a railroad spike to "capo" the drone string. That was an older banjo and I can't remember for sure.. but I think that's the case. Thanks for the comment!
Quick question. I noticed that you're using a capo and was wondering if you were using a capo on your 5th string as well. Thanks and very great song. Love it.
Man you slay. How would you suggest I find the tab for that jam cause I love wayfaring strangler but the only tab I find aint got cord. Help a poor sinner?

That's the best ever...
Seems to be Double C, tuned up a step and capoed up a step. From normal Double C capo on 4 and use a spike on the 4th fret (my second spike).
