Good luck! And always remember, hunting isn’t just about killing an animal. Most of my best, most memorable hunts did not result in a kill. And also try to remember that even though your season isn’t going well it could literally change 180* in 5 seconds, at any time! Shoot straight and stay safe!

Nice to keep the cameras high, I stopped using the straps to mount- use a screw mount instead, dramatically decreases the visibility to the point I can't find them myself.

Is the reasoning behind high trail camera placement because you think it's less likely to be seen/stolen? Or better vantage point for the imagery? I started placing mine higher in the trees, one stick up for theft reasons, but I found that it takes away from the amount of pics im getting. I think the sensor doesn't like the angle.

Just had my first ever lost deer, ran dogs on the trail all day today after shooting him last night, dogs indicated he tried to cross a river and didnt make it across, after paying two different tracking dogs with the same result, I put 15 miles on my boots grid searching couldnt find anything and ran out of land I could track on. Was a beautiful 10 point, I cant stomach even thinking about hunting right now, just dropping a like good luck this season boys.

The buck beds that you find really tucked away, (under brush, logs, inside of several bushes) do you believe that to be more a mature buck than a 2 or 3 year old? I guess what I'm asking is, the more hidden the bed is, does that coincide with the bucks age?
I have a wooded spot with nuts everywhere . Open field on one side and thick brush in the other . I can hear them coming when they get up and watch them quite a bit . I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on the doe s because they’re cute and always wait for a big buck which is rare nowadays .

One time I went to public land with my lab and she was ruffled about something moving on the other side of the bushes . Here it was a monster buck during the rut and her four paws on the ground made him curious . He was right next to me but unseen . He was gone . Now I hunt a few farms down the road . Nice and close , no problems .

My past experiences with any areas with active beaver" BIG BUCKS". I have hunted these areas and I also trap beaver. Always big bucks. You really need to watch that area. Hell , just hunt it. I pretty sure you won't be disappointed. Good luck.
Oh yes those are some shooters you got on camera hope to see some on your hunts, my first set was Sunday morning for 2 hours the biggest buck I got on camera came through 2 hours earlier and it was raining acorns

i know this may be a long shot, but i know me and few others discussed something we would like to see from yall. We feel like it would be helpful for people if yall could start a video and map scout a peice yall have never hunted before from scratch, be informative as possible and then move into the boots on the ground what yall key in on etc. take that information and inform us where and how yall would like to hunt wind, point of access, etc. and then once yall make yalls plan video the hunt and any adjustments yall make up until success or quitting time! hope to hear back, thank yall for your information and quality hunts and films
I know for sure if there’s thick pines that’s where they always go . I see them peep their heads out all the time .I think the doe and young ones are cute so I leave them alone . I’ve had a few take banana s out of my hand over the years and several walk up to me but never a buck . Bucks are smart and old ones don’t come out in the open too often . They’re always at the back and last to come in .

Why do talk out the cameras up so high on the tree’s? I’ve got a few Ideas on why you might, depending on water levels, other hunters, or whatever else. But why?
Not all hunters that might see those cameras are trust worthy. He uses climb stix to get to them.
