You guys went from someone I watch some times to one of my favorite hunting shows
right, but 2 me the other shows dont show how intense they hunt or tell you what they're doing. they're just sitting in a blind or a stand on their 100 acre farm or buddies farm. these guys get in it real deep and go beyond the ordinary corn field. other hunting shows do 2 much advertising. and sitting in a tree and then this big ole 20 point just happens 2 just walk by. just my opinion.

Watching Ted's body convulse as 2 good bucks approach adds so much validity to this video. What's so cool is I (and I'm sure lots of others) can relate to having something that is so elusive and so geared for survival so close is what it's all about. Props to Ted for completing the mission, and also giving someone else in the crew a crack at the bigger one. Great video. Thanks so much for sharing.

Fellow hunter from Oklahoma here. I just want to say thank you to THP for being an outlet to enjoy. My father-in-law was recently diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and my family and I have been serving as his caretakers throughout the process. I haven’t been able to scout or do any hunting whatsoever, even in my “free time”. It also looks like I may not be able to hunt at all this year as we want to help the family as much as we can (I may have a couple days to squeeze in as the in-laws are planning a getaway to spend time with each other). But being able to watch you guys has been incredibly exciting and I am constantly learning and becoming a better hunter. Just wanted to say thank you for all that you do, for being people of great (and diverse) character, and for simply being an outlet for folks who are in seasons of struggle. I’m sure you all her bombarded with messages of thankfulness and gratitude but I wanted to extend one more and let y’all know that your impact goes beyond the realm of being in the woods. So thank you for blessing my family and I in this season of life and I can’t wait for more videos and rewatching the older ones, especially if I’m not able to get out myself. God bless you all and keep up the good work! Your efforts indeed touch and shapes lives. Have a great season to you and all who hunt this year!

Aderly Hoag This channel is about educating and showing that anyone can get out and hunt public land. They are about harvesting mature animals, never been about monster bucks.

Aderly Hoag That wasn’t a small buck. These guys produce real footage. Way better than any other big tv shows. Keep watching those if you want to consistently see 170”+ deer. I’d have shot that buck too.

Aderly Hoag buck fever is part of the reason I hunt. No rush like it. This is the best hunting channel on UA-cam. They aren’t hurting for followers and you can’t eat the horns.

Ted is a selfless hunter and an incredible role model for the industry. Good on you man, these videos always make my day, especially when Ted gets one! Let’s not forget all the massive bucks he has already taken, probably some bigger than most of us will ever see in our lifetime.

I love these guys too, but they take the sure thing because they need kills to get viewers and do not have the luxury of waiting for a giant, nothing wrong with that its how they make money nothing wrong with being picky either as long as you're having fun, I'm very picky and do not mind eating tag soup, just being in the woods is worth the price of admission to me. Enjoying the experience is what its all about
Could you do a vid on quartering n packing your meat in field. Ive seen you do it a few times n searched other vids but the way it looks packed looks like a great way to do it. A lot of people could benefit from that

Ted's enthusiasm is contagious. He shoots a 130 and the excitement is that of a 160... love it!!! Enjoy the friendships because it's the best part. You get in your 40s and a few quit hunting, best friend and hunting partner passes away, and before you know it your bowhunting by yourself and missing those great times shared with friends and family. So I hunt with you guys and love every episode!!

Really enjoying seeing Ted mature into a man, video personality and deer slayer. The enthusiasm, camaraderie and just plain fun comes off the screen like no other hunting show out there. Whoever is turning a bunch of footage into the finished product is doing an excellent job. I don’t know how many viewers appreciate what it takes to consistently put out excellent material.

I love when Ted gets the adrenaline shakes, I get them so damn bad even when it is just a doe. All the public land around me is heavily pressured so when you can outsmart the deer it really gets the adrenaline going.

M’s husband, thanks for Hunting and being really good at it. Many may do but about 3 years ago preparing my venison to cook I marinate it in balsamic vinegar first for a day. Last Thursday I placed a roast from a ham in a crockpot and cooked it on high for 2 hours and then on low for around 2 hours with Carolina treet marinade, rice, string beans. It was really good. Thanks again!

Man first day of the season and the bigger buck was in range I would’ve waited if I didn’t get a shot no big deal just hunt another day that other buck was a freak of nature.

A big shout out to THP for all the work they do and for all the information they share about hunting bucks. I've been watching your channel for a long while now and I used so many tips about scouting and sign and setting up on public.
I used everything I learned from you and because of that, I was able to pattern a specific buck. I killed him last night right where I thought he would be, on public, from the ground. Thank you again for the lessons! New York State, WMU 8G

A big congratulations to Ted and the THP Crew on an awesome opening day of Iowa hunt and big buck. I would have been shaking too even if it wasn't cold out. Those two bucks fighting, being covered in does and making the right decision in the heat of the moment would have my nerves and adrenaline pumping. So happy for Ted and I really like how the TEAM comes together and helps each other out when they can if they are in the area. If only that buck would have been about 15 yards closer to Aaron, there would have been a double buck down on opening day. Thanks for sharing.
For some reason I haven't even seen small bucks like 3 points, 4s-little basket rack 6s let alone a more mature buck where I hunt and I have been out quite a few evenings and mornings. Even missed a couple does. I pray my luck will change since I bought two additional archery tags in WV.

Nice Buck Ted! The fact that you took the first clean shot says everything. One of those does could have blew at any second and the opportunity would have vanished instantly, I've had it happen many times. Ted and Gooch looked like a couple of tuning forks shaking up there in the tree. LOL That's what it's all about, if you don't get excited then maybe it's time to hang it up. I still get excited even when I see does.
Love how excited you both get to the point where the cold and adrenaline have you shaking. Your a true sportsman and show so much discipline with taking that buck when there was a big boy right there. So much respect for you as a hunter 👍💪🦌

Awesome video and thanks so much for sharing with us all. The first thing ted thought about was staying quite and not spooking the bigger buck, so one of the other guys could slip in and get a crack at him. That is so cool and speaks volumes about his character and the sportsman he is. Can’t wait for the next video!
I would love to head east and hunt some whitetails. Hunting mule deer is great but I have always loved the look of a whitetail. In 2011 I harvested my largest buck to date in south western Idaho, only because my daughter spotted it, and it was a hybrid. It was half whitetail and half mule deer. Craziest thing I have ever seen. Half it's rack was a mule deer and whitetail on the other. Unfortunately someone stole the head a few months later out of my shed. That's one memory I'll have forever!!!!

After shooting the buck he stays quiet and mentions that he doesn’t want to spook the other one. Hour later comes in with giant ass spotlights with 6+ people lol. Great hunt guys buck fever definitely got the best of Ted. Good footage and the friendships will last a lifetime. Well done.

Embrace the buck fever. I enjoy the rush still to this day after 41 years of hunting. It doesn't happen for every deer. But when a really big one comes along and you can keep it together. Relying on the repetition of practice. It's just one of the best feelings a hunter or human ( pursuing something other than hunting some kind of competition or performance) can experience. Great job Ted you should be proud as I'm sure you are.

My family is from southeast/central iowa and I apply for a nonrez tag every year. By far my favorite place to hunt whitetails. The first time i went out i was shocked how much good public land they have available, hoping my state follows eventually!

Y'all are exemplars when it comes to good, well-earned success on public land hunts. You put in the time scouting and tweaking your equipment to be better, more efficient predators and it shows. I'm so glad I found this channel. I'm chasing some buck sign on public land in Arkansas. Whenever I'm feeling like I might stay in for the evening, I just ask myself, "What would THP do?" and then I go hunt. Let's hunt!
