I felt you on having too much empathy when witnessing bullying for your own good. The dance scene had me sobbing in the theater. It truly wrecked me emotionally. I’ve seen the film 3 times since it came out on Thanksgiving. It is brilliant.
There is actually quite a bit of practical sets and stuff, including the train. They even had a puppeteer of the goat for the cast to look and interact with so will actually be looking at him correctly and more believably
I think we need to bring more light to Cynthia Erivo who is playing Elphaba. She is out of this world when it comes to talented. She’s gotten everything from a Tony, to an Emmy, to a Grammy (Just needs an Oscar to be an EGOT celebrity!!). If you want to hear her voice or see her act, watch her sing Alfie by Dionne Warwick or I’m Here from The Colour Purple. I COULD NOY BE MORE EXCITED GOT THIS!!!
I am a dancer and one of the styles I do is musical theater jazz! Earlier this year we did a dance to popular from wicked! I’m so excited to see the movie when it comes out!

8:49 gurl wdym? 😂 she landed the role of Annie in the eponymous musical at 8 years old, she was in the original cast of the musical 13 as a teenager and adores Wicked musical since she was 10. Her roots are literally musical theatre before she was discovered in Nickelodeon. 😂 js.

Before the trailer came out I had lots of questions and my excitement was about an 8. Now that the trailer is out I am so so so happy and my excitement is a 100!! This movie has been talked about for years and it is finally becoming real!! IM SO EXCITEDDDDD 😊😊😊❤❤❤ (I came from your insta group) 😊
I will never forget my first experience of seeing the musical and seeing all the beautiful sets and the costume designs, as well as the amazing talented cast. And I had just recently saw it again this past Christmas as I was introducing it to a family friend, so I am so hyped to see this iconic story come to the screen! And ironically the first musical I ever performed was the Wizard of Oz where I played Professor Marvel and the Wizard. 🫧🧹🩷💚

Most things aren’t CGI! They actually built almost all of the sets!

They BUILT most of the sets including planting millions of Tullips and a 16 Ton Train! As well as most of the University and Munichkin town!
