Grad to hear that your all in good shape. Through this incident I have just discovered your channel Nd enjoyed your quality filming. Just thinking why and how the roll over happened. My questions would be us the 79 running on the standard narrower then front axle width? How much weight ( stuff) was packed into the canopy. The standard chassis length leaves a lot of your canopy hanging south of the rear axle position. I assume you don't have a chassis extension . May be that rear ( overhanging) load caused a cantilever effect starting the chain of events. Just thoughts. Cheers.

Great to hear all OK, keep up the good work, don’t let your little mishap deter you continuing on your big adventure, we luckily have had 10 years of touring Australia trouble free, one small piece of advice as a retired panel beater,30 years as an insurance Assessor, the wheel aligner should not have repositioned your steering wheel, there is normally a self entering device in your power steering, the wheel should be repositioned to factory and the steering tie rod ends which are adjustable reset to centralise the steering wheel Regards Tony

I started my journey in February and in April another car hit me head on near mission beach. I was then stuck in cairns for 5 months and my journey stalled. I almost gave it all up. I’m back on the road again - cautious - but still going. So you’re right - never know how great this life can be without taking some risks. These times always teach us something. They make us grateful and stronger

Re: wheel alignment, the reason the steering wheel was off centre is that when the wheel alignment was done, the steering wheel was not locked tight, pointing 100% straight. If not locked tight, the steering wheel is off centre after the wheel alignment. And even if you straighten it like you did, the wheel alignment may not be true. Just saying from experience of many years of very high speed travel throughout South Africa.🇿🇦🇿🇦.

The caravan wreck you passed was caused by wind gusts from a passing truck causing uncontrolled swerving of the van and car resulting in them flipping over. No one seriously,injured luckily but vehicles written off. Glad you are all ok after your ordeal.

Rolling the vehicle is a simple thing that can happen to anyone. Years ago, one of my friends rolled his vehicle driving along a gravel road at 20 miles per hour. He didn’t even have a ditch to fall into. I am so glad you are all safe and well. Kind regards, Alex.
So glad you are all OK and back on the road. It's not a nice feeling when the poop hits the fan and you're stranded in the middle of nowhere as we know only to well. We didn't let our vehicle incident stop us either and were back on the road within 8 days. Mate, just discovered your channel and instantly like/subscribed. You guys are the reason we love the off-road and touring community. I love your emotion, openness and appreciation of EVERYTHING around you. The community is so full of such genuine, caring people and I think that this is sadly lost in a lot of other channels because it is, to us at least, one of the highlights of that lifestyle. The places and experiences a great but the community is what makes it AMAZING. We live in Townsville, FNQ and did the Cape, etc last year and made life long friends doing it and watching your videos brings back those memories and that warmth you feel being in such a wonderful community together. So glad your all ok and am looking forward to seeing all your future travels and endeavours. Hope we see you out there on our big trip coming up soon.

Just on the subject of the caravan wreck, having gone through a similar experience with good friends I learnt not to carry anything in my caravan I would be devastated to lose. After sorting through the wreckage for family heirlooms, hard drives storing precious memories, things that couldn't be replaced, I moved my laptop, cameras, husband's ashes into drawers in the back of my 4wd. They were much more secure. Clothes and cutlery can be replaced and there's nothing secure 8n the heaviest of off road caravans
"It's the Outback, shit happens", a comment by a long haul truck driver, it's very true hey. You had me getting emotional when you were talking about your concern for your family, glad all are ok. All the best guys

Broke the other 1 & 2nd reconstruction this year, then DVT & Pulmonary Embolism... so our travel has stopped... waiting for what our reasons & lessons are... but get to live vicariously through you, so thanks 😊

The caravan wreck you passed was caused by wind gusts from a passing truck causing uncontrolled swerving of the van and car resulting in them flipping over. No one seriously,injured luckily but vehicles written off. Glad you are all ok after your ordeal.

You are right about the people out there who just jump in and help no matter what and don't expect any recognition or accolades for it. They are real heroes who deserve good things in their lives. We don't realise how important our loved ones are until something like this happens and it really brings us back to earth to understand the true values and importance of them and things in our lives. Rolling the vehicle is a simple thing that can happen to anyone. Years ago, one of my friends rolled his vehicle driving along a gravel road at 20 miles per hour. He didn’t even have a ditch to fall into. I am so glad you are all safe and well. Kind regards, Alex.

So glad you are all OK and back on the road. It's not a nice feeling when the poop hits the fan and you're stranded in the middle of nowhere as we know only to well. We didn't let our vehicle incident stop us either and were back on the road within 8 days. Thank you for sharing how it happened because that is not something you would normally think about but will keep an eye out for it in the future. Safe travels and happy camping

Mate, just discovered your channel and instantly like/subscribed. You guys are the reason we love the off-road and touring community. I love your emotion, openness and appreciation of EVERYTHING around you. The community is so full of such genuine, caring people and I think that this is sadly lost in a lot of other channels because it is, to us at least, one of the highlights of that lifestyle. The places and experiences a great but the community is what makes it AMAZING.
We live in Townsville, FNQ and did the Cape, etc last year and made life long friends doing it and watching your videos brings back those memories and that warmth you feel being in such a wonderful community together. So glad your all ok and am looking forward to seeing all your future travels and endeavours. Hope we see you out there on our big trip coming up soon.

Just on the subject of the caravan wreck, having gone through a similar experience with good friends I learnt not to carry anything in my caravan I would be devastated to lose. After sorting through the wreckage for family heirlooms, hard drives storing precious memories, things that couldn't be replaced, I moved my laptop, cameras, husband's ashes into drawers in the back of my 4wd. They were much more secure. Clothes and cutlery can be replaced and there's nothing secure 8n the heaviest of off road caravans
"It's the Outback, shit happens", a comment by a long haul truck driver, it's very true hey. You had me getting emotional when you were talking about your concern for your family, glad all are ok.

Last time we met you at Briz Caravan Show I was recovering from 1 broken ankle reconstruction. Broke the other 1 & 2nd reconstruction this year, then DVT & Pulmonary Embolism... so our travel has stopped... waiting for what our reasons & lessons are... but get to live vicariously through you, so thanks 😊

So glad everyone is ok. Cried with you when you talked about Jasper's foot. Had an experience myself where I got stuck when I pulled over on the side of the road and didn’t see the drain in the dark. Didn’t tip though, luckily. But it is scary when you think about what could have happened. But didn’t.
