I feel like games shouldn't launch with DLC. DLC should be something that comes in at a later point. If it's a free to play game that's a different story, but seriously, DLC at launch shouldn't be a thing.

George Lucas should be in the game, they need to compensate fans for including the one person that did the worst Star Wars movies (JJ Abrams). If they removed Rise of Skywalker, in favor of Rogue One, Solo, or The Clone Wars. I don't think anybody would complain.

Cameron DeVries it is unlikely but they could have all the clone wars stuff as side missions in the hub world. I wouldn’t mind that at all. Same with rebels and I wish it could be mandolorian too so you don’t have to pay but yeah.

While I do hope cw and rebels are in the game, I think neither will be. Even if one of them is included, it’ll be Rebels, because cw is too big to include. And you can imagine that people(with the exception of me) would be mad about that.

I'm so confused, how could there be a DLC already if the game hasn't even come out yet? Can't they just add it in before the release?
Yeah but these corporations need to be greedy and make more money money money
The DLC requires them to add those additional characters and levels, which sometimes takes longer. Adding all or some of the early dlc would cause the original game to take that little bit longer to produce.
Alot of people currently are also not a fan of not hearing that a game will have dlc, the reason for this is that without dlc soon available or announced, it causes some people/players to see a game as just the base game, with no added content which dlc would provide. You would be amazed by how many players would be turned away from a game because it does not have early buyable dlc.
I personally think dlc should remain for post-game launch, and added if the game proves worth the money, but that tactic actually does not doo as well. Waiting for to announce dlc causes less sales. Since, having the dlc announced early allows the games big first week wave to have players buy it anyways. Which does not manage the same success 1 month after the game is out, where half the players have forgotten about it, or are not as interested.
The market is like this due to how us consumers tend to act. If people happened to bring in more sales to dlc that came out later than the games release date, then companies would do that, but the reality is that they make more sales by having early dlc.
This is not true to all games, nor are all consumers like this. But it is what it is.
Some games also use dlc to keep their games lifespan alive longer, allowing for a growing player base by keeping it in the air. Examples would be stuff like CoD, Mortal Kombat, and Smash Bros.

Especially since these aren't even level dlc. Every lego character is just a re-textured version of either a jedi or someone who uses a blaster. I'd understand if it was 1 or 2 of them but 6 just feels ridiculous.

Lukas Johnson Still technically wouldn’t be the complete story, since there’s still 40+ cancelled and unfinished episodes of the show. (With the 12 episodes in season 7 being slightly different to their original planned version)

I've only ever played lego star wars the force awakens (as far as star wars lego games) on the xbox 360. So, all I'm looking forward to is playing as my boi Grievous
If you want to play with grievous you can by finding carbonites and then open them in rebel base. Or do you want play on utapau or other planet than any on the force awakens.

alright, lego clone wars had somewhat of a dlc with a pre order exclusive, and LEGO the force Awakens had straight up dlcs, and the first LEGO game with dlc was LEGO Harry Potter, I think.

Usually some of the character packs in LEGO games come with levels, which I would think the game has for some stuff - like Mando, Solo, maybe even clone wars.
That Vader scene could also be a remake of the New Hope bonus level in TCS
If you look up unused characters for Lego The Force Awakens there are unused classic characters and yes they are older models like Qui Gon with dot eyes and a little mustache.
