A wonderful happy mail and haul
I think I have both my mother's and my grandmother's copies of that cookbook. Those old very unappetizing food photos remind me of my childhood in the 50's. I can't believe anybody actually ate some of those things. Enjoy your lovely gifts.
I also have my copy and my grandmother's copy. One is origional and the other is early 70's

Thank you for sharing your fun happy mail with us. I am from Albuquerque, NM also. Just to give you some more background in the Zia symbol. It is a sacred symbol to the Zia people. The symbol actually has a circle in the center. It is on the New Mexico State

Each ray of the Zia symbol has meaning....the four directions, the four seasons, the four stages of life, and the four parts of the day (morning, noon, evening and night).

Good morning Margreth. Love the tin. I also just picked one up at thrift store. It's an old cheese tin. Isn't it amazing how many different file folders there are? OMG the garden magazine from April 1955! I was born May 1st 1955! Love it, I would photocopy the images and use them.

I'm from USA and I have the cookbook. It was a common gift when you get married, so I got mine in 1986. Don't believe I'd cut it up though. I still use it all the time.

My favorite scissors are by Fiskar's and the blades are covered in teflon and the sticky stuff just wipes off. Tell Duoding to find some for you. They sell really well here in the US
I got a 1902 Sears catalog at an online auction recently. I knew it was a reproduction, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was published in 1969....so still vintage. Not bad for $3, and that was the total price for the lot of 20 books!

Heerlijk om alles uit usa te zien thuis kan je assetone gebruiken om je schaar schoon te maken, mocht de goo gone op zijn. En 1983 is een mooie jaar 🥰😇mijn geboorte jaar 😅. En soms moet je i derdaad maar net geluk hebben met iets te vinden in Nederland dat uit de usa is of uit Frankrijk.

How fun! A lot of that stuff is difficult to find in the states as well. But a kid you not, finding stuff in California seems to be almost unheard of. I went to a thrift store and saw price tags for $1.99 and 2.99, both were from Dollar Tree! My days here are numbered. 😂 Anyway, so many fun goodies, I can’t wait to see you use them. Margreth hi hun, so there is a recipe in that cookbook “ beef stroganoff you have to try it. It is so good. I just told my husband the other day I need to make it. Now I’m going to go buy the stuff for it and make it. You make me laugh, don’t know how to see in a button” I have one of the older cook books which was my mother in laws moms.. I did get a kick out of watching you go through all this stuff. You and I need to meet when I come to the Netherlands Aug of 2025 I’ll be there three days before we sail. Give me list of what you’d like to have postal, book, papers, etc. and I’ll bring it with me. As long as I can carry it in a bag. I mean it I will. Oh if there is a food you’d like to try like candy of chips let me know. I’m serious😜🙃🙂 they do reproduce those Sears book every so often. Sears is gone now so enjoy the ones you have.
