One heck of a nice job! Congratulations
Thank you! It was a fun build.
Very nice and well thought out. Thank you for sharing ideas.
Nice round pen! Thanks for the information about size. I’ve been on the fence (no pun intended) on wether to go with a 50’ or 60’ round pen. I know where to go now on size. Thanks
Thank you! After working some colts in it I’m pretty happy with the dimensions. Some of the bigger horses with bigger movement feel a little cramped but it feels pretty versatile right now.
Great round pen! I like your wife's idea of not running the boards all the way up.
Side question! Will there be an update on your Friesian filly training vlog anytime soon?
Yes! She’s just two so I’m not riding her a ton. Just little stuff in the round pen and towing her behind more experienced horses with the saddle on to have her crossing water and climbing.
Sweet! Your comment on Tristen’s (Notorious Horsemanship)
video brought me here.
Great video!
Nice pen. Great job. Don’t you find the sand to
Deep. Any problems with injuries with it that deep. 👍
I really like the build. We're planning one out right now and are also using pallet wood since we have a ton of it on hand. I have one question for you, this will be the first time we build a round pen, can you let me know what you did with the base? Do you have stone under the sand?
No I just did straight river sand on the ground and it’s worked pretty well. Colts have been able to grab and haven’t had any go down yet.
Videos are great thank you, very good quality, interesting and I like that you don’t take yourselves too seriously. You should have waaay more views and subscribers! Thank you
Thank you! Tell your friends.😅
Nice job, thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
How far did you space the posts out?
8 feet
@Stonefieldranch thanks much, have to build a new one at our new place. My last one was 16 foot panels but seemd far less round with those panels and gave you more of an octagon and I didn't like the flow of it.
Is this your friesen filly with you in the video?
Yes
@@Stonefieldranch she looks great! I’d love to see more videos of her progress.
