When I saw the Baby Kangroos, I was pleased. They are such a great switch. They have a very unique sound and aren't too heavy. They are very snappy switches. You can't go wrong with them. Though I must say, right now, my top 5 (no order), Baby Kangaroos, Cherry MX Clears, Glorious Pandas, Durock T1s, and Boba U4Ts.
Bought the Baby Kangaroos because of your video and I have to say - they are wonderful! You are so right - I can totally see this switch being liked by all because they are so well rounded.
Just got the Baby Kangaroo V2 to my Keychron Q1 PRO and Q2 PRO, better pins on the new ones too. They came lubed, but way too sparse for my tase, they also had a sharp ping from the spring. But after some more lube they feel and sound very nice. I have used several tactile switches before, but with these you can really feel the satisfying bump.
100% agree on the BK. I did a double blind switch test experiment which took days. I know completely unnecessary and super nerdy. However, BK were on top and basically tied with gateron mini i. The mini i’s are like a lighter version of bk. I would recommend bk though as I can see the mini i’s being a tad too light. I genuinely don’t see how anyone would be disappointed with bk. Sure maybe with enough research they can find a switch that they like better, but they won’t like it anywhere near as much more to make the exhausting and pricey search worthwhile. Save yourself the headache and just go with BK, there’s a reason so many people like them/recommend them.
I adore the bbk and agree completely with your assessment. I do wish my batch had better factory lubing; it’s very inconsistent and there’s lots of noise from the leaves and springs. Of course, this issue can be fixed, but it’s a bummer when many other Gateron switches feature higher quality and more consistent factory lubing.
I was clicky gang from the beginning and made the switch to tactile with the baby kangaroos earlier this year. Never looked back since. After I took some time to lube them, they sound much brassier than unlubed. EDIT: My clicky switches were Box Jades btw
This video is great for visibility of something outside 'flavor of the month' and 'tier list favorites', I really like the 'light tactile' category very underrated.
just got baby kangaroos now and im enjoying it! it fits well on my marbly poppy sound profile. the crispiness of the tactility and the weight of the actuation makes it a huge recommendation. Gateron never failed to make a high quality switch
As a heavy typer I'm confused, cause part of the the heavy type experience IS bottoming out the switches - it's unsatisfying not to. Am I the only one?
will you consider reviewing lesser known switches that are really pervading in the chinese market? I recently got some ktt switches for I think less than a cent per and it's really solid for it's price, there are many switches that just havent made it into the global market so something on these would be nice, they might be hard to get hold of though
Wow man great video, I was kinda stumped on what I should get but I know that I wanted a lighter switch because Im kinda tired or typing on gat ink black v2s for essays and I got the matcha switches and honestly they feel and sound great with a bit of attention, you earned my sub thanks bro.
Thanks for this video! What are your thoughts about the Boba U4T relative to the Baby Kangaroo? I blindly bought the Baby Kangaroos and love them, but need switches for another keyboard and thought I’d try something different.
U4Ts are great. You'll find that they are bassier than the Baby Kangaroos. Not to promote my own service unnecessarily but I feel that our try-before-you-buy program is exactly what you're looking for. Comparison is really everything in switches. milktooth.nu/products/switches
I've been very happy with the lubed Glorious Panda switches... so far everything I was looking for in a tactile, sound is great, typing is fantastic. I am interested in the Baby Kangaroos though, might try those in a future build.
I've been using the Baby Kangaroos for probably 6 months amd out of curiosity tried the Glorious Panda. I hated them. They were a lot more dim,and typing on them I found quite average and I might even say boring compared to the Baby Kangaroos.
Been really liking these Azure Dragons v2 and I do think the baby kangaroos are pretty neat. The sound profile on the kangaroos is marbly and the typing experience is really nice and comfortable, and just a tad loud, but not enough to be aversive at all (cannot say the same for my partner). Having a hard time deciding between these. The Dragons have a stronger tactile bump as well as being a heavier weight switch but the comfort in these kangaroos are just fun. I need something that is not a silent switch but quiet to some degree. My coworkers are going insane with these switches.
The normal Bluish Whites sound like they _could_ be a good fit. Sound signature is pretty subdued and on the deeper side. Tactility is definitely not as sharp as the Baby Kangaroos and Azure Dragons though. Happy to chat more if you'd like
@@milktoothnu I guess I am more concerned about tactility? I really like mid-heavy weight switches like U4ts, but I am starting to fall out of love with the sound profile. Idk if the perfect switch is out there. Maybe a rounded or sharp bump? I have some akko switches and they are sharper than Gat browns, but they are not a satisfying enough bump Not sure if you have tried the WS browns, but those were a trip. worst spring ping ever, but I like the bump. The bottom out was too heavy on those. I got this weird nails on chalk kind of feeling. Honestly it made me nauseous and I think it was the harsh hard bottom out.
@@MicansCreations Would do a try at-home with the aforementioned Bluish Whites. I'd add the T1s as well since they aren't too loud either but offer more tactility.
Anyone who just wants good sounding and decent performing switches, just get gateron reds and lube them, cheap easy to find and sound very good when lubed correctly👌
I have the baby roos. I just wish their bottom out was heavier. It always feels like I hit my desk at the bottom, not the keyboard. Anyone knows of a similar switch with heavier bottom out force?
I ordered a set of baby kangaroo switches but the leaf ping was incredibly bad, to the point where I ordered other switches instead. Am I the only one with this issue? Besides that probably the best tactile switch I've had so far but too bad the ping killed it for me.
Have you tried azure dragons, and the bad seed tech tactiless? I was curious how they compare to one another, although I am super interested the baby kangaroos now though, even though they should be lighter.
Bought the BBK's for my build after seeing various videos including yours, couldn't be happier with them. They have their quirks like leaf ping, weird scratchiness with the stock springs & etc, but nothing really replaces the feel and sound they have. Basically the most "solid" and full sounding & feeling switch I've tried, and I have a tester full of the likes of u4t's, moyu blacks, kiwis, matchas, and so many more. ua-cam.com/video/0psqWceInQo/v-deo.html
For me Most unique option - Moyu betty v2 Best heavy option: Ws heavy tactile Best light option: Stop using light tactile Best silent option: Ws silent Tactile/ Shrimp Best overall option: kangaroos are realy goog but for me Voyager

Kalih Plum 0:48
Kalih Box Royal 1:40
KTT Matcha 2:41
TTC Silent Bluish White 3:35
Gateron Baby Kangaroo 4:26
TTC Silent Bluish White - the best sounding of these (this one makes sense because it's silent)
Bought the Baby Kangaroos because of your video and I have to say - they are wonderful! You are so right - I can totally see this switch being liked by all because they are so well rounded.
TTC Bluish White Tactile Switch is my favorite so far, I’m surprised not many ppl talk about it

Good to know. I have a q2 pro as well
The quality seems to get better every single video

i wanted to go from tactile to a box jade or box white! not recommended? haha
@@dioxyde0 hey man. While box jades are loud, they do sound really crisp. If I were to go back to clickies, it'll definitely be box jades.
I absolutely love the Baby Kangaroos. So glad to see someone else loving them.
These videos are such a tremendous help. Comparing the bluish whites with rain drops sold me, and now I definitely want to try them for myself!
This video is great for visibility of something outside 'flavor of the month' and 'tier list favorites', I really like the 'light tactile' category very underrated.

I really like my kailh elf silent purples. They are DEAD quiet and have good, but not overwhelming, tactility.
Your try at home kit is a genius idea
As a heavy typer I'm confused, cause part of the the heavy type experience IS bottoming out the switches - it's unsatisfying not to.
Am I the only one?
I was just looking for an updated list on switches! The silent tactile switch def got my interest. Hopefully you can do a list on linear switches!
TT. Bluish white has scratchy sound maybe that’s the “rainy” sound? Does hand lubing remove the rainy sound?

baby kangaroo, azure dragon, or gat quinn? i confused which one i have to buy, can you help me?
which one did you go for?

What do i get if i want a rhocky tactile ?
To me the baby kangaroos barely feel tactile at all on the downstroke, practically linear
baby kangaroo vs cream blue pro vs lavender purple pro?
out of those 5, baby kanggaroo has less scratchy sound, especially for a tactile.
I've been very happy with the lubed Glorious Panda switches... so far everything I was looking for in a tactile, sound is great, typing is fantastic. I am interested in the Baby Kangaroos though, might try those in a future build.

I modes my box royals with a 2 pounds spring. After this, my fingers got buffed that I broke my phones lcd screen every time I try to type.
I love your content! Keep up the good work.
What’s the promotion code for a discount on their site?
Thanks. Trying to replace the awful blues on my azoth.
Great video! Just a question; what’s your take on the durock anubis switches?
Gateron Quinns are similar at a better price point
Kailh box navy: let me introduce myself
Haimu mp tactile: you're not belong here pal
Love this, but what keyboards can I use them on?
Sorry im a total noob!
any hotswap keyboards, just make sure they are 5 pin hotswap so u can use 3 pin and also 5 pin switches
@@himasara9094Question, I'm planning to get one but the switches are soldered to the pcb. Can I disolder them and treat it as a hot-swappable?
i'm looking for switches that feels similar to the glorious holy pandas but with a better build quality, does that exist?
Try before you buy the POM T1s: milktooth.nu/products/switches/pom-t1

Nice review
How do you think the TTC Bluish Whites compare to the Durock Shrimps?
Bluish Whites are gentler than the Shrimps/Silent T1s
I need a heavy quiet tactile switch. The bluish whites are too light.
I prefer the C3equalz Kiwi switches. Got a batch on order. Really like their feel but they should get lubed

based on the coloring I thought the bbk were the zealio 3 in 1's lol
I like the baby kangaroos too! if only they come in box stem!
How are these compared to gazzew boba u4t?
are there other switches besides the Gazzew U4T that you would recomend for a deep tone tactile?

How about zealpc clickies tactile mode. Its actually tactile unlike most mx swiches
