Hi, I must say I love using ready Breck for making pancakes and layering the pancakes with fruit then yoghurt and finishing off with choc shot. Makes a nice pudding as well as a breakfast. Thanks for the tip on the pink stuff because I hate the spoon marks. This is the first time I've seen one of your vlogs and I found it interesting. That omelette looks rather professional Cath. I will be subscribing to your Channel because I'm doing slimming world too and I find it helpful to watch others who are doing the plan, gives me some good ideas. Love the pastina dish and when Abbie said grandad Bill it brought my late father to mind because his name was Bill. Thanks for sharing, kind regards to you all from Angeline 😊
Hi Angeline and welcome aboard! It's great to have you with us. We have made pancakes before but used porridge... We have yet to try it with ready brek but certainly will do, thank you! Pink stuff works wonders on spoon marks in mugs. We only learnt that one ourselves a couple of weeks ago. Abi is very taken by grandad Bill's pastina! (It's her great grandad but she calls him grandad). Ordinarily her answer would be Nanny if we ask her who cooks this better! Lol. Thank you for your support and we look forward to doing this journey with you x
You can't beat an omelette can you, i love them, i put baked beans on sometimes 😊 The pasta dish looks so nice Cath, a good one for this terrible cold weather, thanks for sharing that. I'm making soup tomorrow, leek & potato & I've just bought a butter nut squash for another one. Funny you should mention Sainsbury's Cath we have a small one in our village & i popped in to get some fruit & veg, everything i got was so tasty & actually lasted past its date. Have a good weekend ladies. xx
We love this weather for all the comfort foods we can eat! Butternut squash is my (Laura) favourite! I love to halve it, roast it and eat it roasted, skin and all! Sainsburys does do brilliant quality food - we don't shop there often but when we do we definitely taste the difference! Have a great week xx
Omg just watching before I go back to sleep as on nights tonight again. And didn't know you are Italian, my dad who never meet was Italian so I am half Italian xxx
I remember the night shifts I used to work - you're up late! Yup, Cath is half Italian and loves that part of her roots - you will likely see a few recipes in the future which incorporate more of the Italian style of cooking xx
We are quite taken by the Ready Brek - it tastes even better after so long not having had it. Enjoy if you decide to have some! I was very surprised when Goofy sold so quickly! Cath and I washed all of the Gavin and Stacey episodes just after Christmas and Cath has been very keen on omelettes ever since! lol x
Loved watching your vlogs but this one brought back memories. When you said work it girl reminded me of Pretty Woman then the wooden spoon memories of my Aunt she would say your don't realise how much flavour is in this spoon, and her baking tins if they were burnt. People would pay for the taste this gives a meal from these tins. Lovely meals. Lol xx
What wonderful memories Lynn! I read these to Cath and she loved the comment about the flavour on the spoon - I think it has made her determined to keep the spoon for as long as she possibly can now! xx
Strangely enough I had a ham & cheese omelette for lunch today, always enjoy them & it fills me up. The dinner recipe looked great too.i haven’t used the tiny pasta shapes, will give it a go.
Great vlog , love the frying pan where from please ? . Years ago i worked in an egg packing factory & went right off eggs which is strange as my dad & grandads proffessions were Poultry Farmers when i was born. I love mushrooms & always buy more than i need as i eat them raw when cooking in a pan . Well done on the meals Cath looks tempting . Milo is so cute . Great finds in the charity shop Laura , i love a good rummage . Xx
Thank you Carol, I didn't know you worked with eggs - and from a long line of poultry history too! How fascinating. I love mushrooms - whenever Cath cooks them she strains the juice off for me to drink! lol. Milo is such a chilled out cat but the others are definitely not happy with him coming in so he just visits when he can. I love a bargain too - couldn't believe it when that sold within an hour! lol xx
@backtobasics8910 i ended up collecting the eggs that were cracked etc & putting them in a spinner with a bag attached & the liqid bags would be fridged & collected & taken to bakeries for cakes etc to be made . Nothing was wasted
That's what I know it to be - pinching the apples from the orchard when I was a kid! Cath knows it to be bag rustling. English is such an odd language! x
I haven't heard of Tracey Bloom before but looked up the book you recommended on Vinted and bought it! I shall at it to the pile to read. Thanks for the recommendation x
Hello m'lovely - you made me question it myself then so I double checked with the app. The orange flavoured mullerlight pots with chocolate sprinkles are still half a syn. Phew! :) xx

Hi Kath and Laura. Something I do is to decant a bottle of olive oil in a spray bottle and use that. Works out cheaper in the long run. X
Oooh that's a good idea and could, I guess be used with other oils too... food for thought...xx

Omelettes make such a great lunch, don't they! The tiny pasta shapes are so lovely. They're in the supermarket as "stars" in the pasta section x

Really fancy making the pasta dish which looked amazing- could you use orzo?
Hi Elizabeth - you absolutely could use orzo. We use it at times when we have run out of the pasta stars x
Great vlog as usual, laura could you tell me where your diet record book is from please xx
Hi it was a Christmas present bought from boxcleverpress.com

Scrumping is pinching your neighbours apples of his tree😂 That looks lovely Cath.. I haven’t had an omelette for ages.

Another one of hers is no one ever has sex on a Tuesday and there’s a trilogy of them after so funny
Sorry to say but yogurts with sprinkle chocolate I think is a sin. Not half off sin xxx
