- We visit Holmfirth to a Fish and chip restaurant by the name of Compo’s. The restaurant is named after the Last of the Summer Wine tv character Compo. We also show you the town of Holmfirth and filming locations from the worlds longest running situation comedy. The bbc television show ran from 1973 to 2010. We’ll be showing you the final resting places of two of the shows characters Bill Owen (Compo) and Peter Sallis (Norman Clegg)
