  • On the morning of October 9th, 2020, Jamie Faith and his wife Jennifer were taking their dog for a walk, when a masked man came up behind them and fired 9 shots. 7 of them, hitting Jamie and killing him. As the months passed, the case started to unravel. A shocking, sordid and twisted story would come to light... one that left everyone completely stunned.

    • @gimcrack555

I know. I can't understand it. Murder isn't the answer. Divorce is the correct and only answer here. I know a daughter kill her mother. Because see was kick out of college and didn't want her mother know about it. Another one a best friend hold $32,000 from a friend, for safe keeping. She spend it all in about 3 months. The friend wanted the money back and instead telling her, she spent it all. She took her to a farmer's property and shot her in the head. Mom I got kicked out of college. Best friend I spent all your money you gave me to hold for you. Take the consequences and on the chin and deal for your actions. Don't kill for it, that's jail time. I rather someone be mad and disappointed at me and just deal with it, than going to jail for a very long time and chances to die in prison.

Hi - bullets aren't as lethal as you would think. Sure, you can catch a random round and die from the simplest shot, but there are people that get hit with multiple gunshot wounds and survive. Most pistols carry a standard load of 15 rounds with an optional 1 preloaded in the chamber for a total of 16. He probably unloaded enough to know he had completed the job. 9 is a reasonable number.

If he thought Jennifer was in actual trouble, he could have called the Faiths' local police department to investigate the alleged (fake) abuse. And for Darrin to attempt to blame it on his PTSD and brain injury and try to play the, "I served my country" card is pathetic. Darrin was just as much a victim. He suffered a brain injury, basically lost a whole platoon of his comrades that he witnessed, grand daughter died, went through a divorce lost another friend violently. She capitalized on all of that. He was basically convinced she was going to be killed by her husband. All those reasons she took advantage of are the same reasons why he killed instead of encouraging her to go to the police with all that “evidence “. I just realized that Darrin Lopez killer guy lived a few miles from where I grew up in Charlotte, TN and where my parents still live. I knew it looked so familiar when they showed his property so I googled it, found his address, looked at it on google earth to confirm, and it was the same place. It’s weird bc I don’t remember ever hearing about this.

I live across the street from where this took place, but had gone to breakfast at the time it happened. However, when I was heading back home, I saw all the police cars parked on the street I live on and the police stopped me and told me to just wait for a little while at the corner. They wouldn't even let me go to my house. After, asking them several times what had happened, they finally told me about Jamie being shot. I didn't know them, but had waved at them a few times when they were sitting outside on the porch of that house.

Good on him for doing right as a husband to her. But it could not have happened to a worse woman. I hope her daughter finds someone else to talk to.

No, Darren definitely needs to be in prison for what he did. But I also feel sorry for him too. That evil b**** took advantage of his love for her, his PTSD, and his brain injury. I'm never going to be able to understand how people can do that kind of thing. I hope nothing but horrible things happen to that woman while she's locked up.

Thanks. Truly. ❤ Ok, after watching this one I’m a wreck. I also served in the Army and suffer from PTSD so I identify with Darrin. If he was a Ranger as the insignia on his belongings would indicate, this man has been through hell on earth and my heart is breaking for him. He’s had to do things in the service of his country no person should and seen things we would have as nightmares. His mind was broken in an unexplainable way and then he was manipulated so badly he truly believed everything he was being told. He said during the trial he wasn’t justifying killing an innocent man. He was regretful and apologized for taking Ambers Dad and knew the gravity. He wasn’t flippant about it. For the prosecution to say that Darrin even implied it was justified was so wrong. Yes he deserved punishment for killing Jamie and admitted as much. He agreed it wasn’t justifiable. He was so twisted up in thinking all those horrible things she was telling him with that Combat PTSD and TBI? He should’ve gotten second degree manslaughter. He’s been in prison in his own mind for years and now he gets to sit in jail with nothing but his thoughts. It’s gonna kill him. Jennifer is probably the most evil woman I’ve ever heard of. To weave such a tapestry just to manipulate him into believing all those lies to the point he was willing to drive 700 miles to stop her abuse is incomprehensible to me. How? How do you even begin to do that to so many innocent people? I mean the mental fortitude to pull all those strings at the same time while maintaining a normal life with Jamie is just .. I’m speechless. She deserves to be put under the jail. And as for Jamie? He sounded like such a loving husband, great father, hard working to provide a wonderful life for his wife and daughter, well liked and respected by friends and colleagues. What a tragic loss of an innocent man whose absence will be felt by his family, friends and community for many years to come. To know that he stood by Jennifer and worked things out despite knowing she was having an emotional affair shows how much he truly loved her and to know he died hurting from the betrayal of his wife and her lies leaves my soul saddened. Rest in Peace Jamie, you’ll never see her in Heaven so rest easy. ❤
Ugh I’m just sick by this one. I gotta hug my kid and go walk my dog to clear my head. 😕
Excellent job ladies. And as always, so well researched and presented so respectfully and compassionately… that’s why I wait for my notification every Saturday. ❤ Thank you.

He was wanting nothing less than for her to be his woman and would have done anything for that, obviously. Could you even imagine reading a comment as callous as yours -- that you hope he is okay, after gunning down an innocent man, good husband, wonderful father, hard worker -- if you were one of his family members?? Get it together, please! Also don't know what you're referring to that "she should have gotten life"... cuz she in fact did.

That was my thought, punishment yes, 2nd degree murder, yes, but he ended up getting life because of his age and the sentence. Only in Texas. When I was a nursing student, I worked in the VA in-patient psych ward during Desert Storm, and I will never forget the stories the veterans shared that completely broke so many of them. We send them to war completely unprepared and then don't take care of them when they come back and have trouble functioning.
