As someone who actually messed around with that thing to bring out its fullest potential...you kind of need Dense/Padded 100% explosive resistance modded armor to use it at its most powerful without accidentally killing yourself. Because here are some fun facts: Lorenzo's artifact with the electrical carrier signal causes it to obtain 3 different damage types, ALL of which can be increased via perks and Legendary prefixes. The energy damage is increased via Gunslinger (which also adds tons of extra range), the artifact shockwave damage is increased via Demolition Expert (which also adds some crazy splash damage radius), and the radiation damage, while reduced to almost nothing due to Lorenzo's artifact, can still obtain the "Irradiated" legendary prefix and be combined with Nuclear Physicist to reach the low 100s in Radiation damage. So basically, with Gunslinger, Demo Expert, and Nuclear Physicist, the weapons can become a long ranged, lightweight, semi-auto energy explosive shooter...but has a crappy 5 round magazine, obnoxiously expensive ammo, and the splash is so large that you're in danger of killing yourself against anything that gets close.
@@kronozoid2248 go up to a workshop in say, sanctuary, if you've already done that, press and hold select/dualshock 4 touchpad (console), the middle mouse button, or the f key. you then go up to something that either uses steel or wood and press x/□ (console) or the r key. you should scrap it. after you get a ton of it, navigate to the shelves when building and spam a/x (console) or enter.
