Hey... I want to ask u about some of my skin care problems... I have oily acne prone skin... I was using SA twice and LA once a week.. and using SA based cleanser during night and mild during day... I also used to apply BP + adaplene gel during night... but I broke out all of sudden from last 3-4 days.. it's unusual for me because I got this severe acne before periods only... But as my skin feels sensitive, stretchy and stinging, I thought my skin barrier is compromised... M worried for it .. because I couldn't apply any acne products inspite of having acne and I have to repair it with ceramide creams as well, I found all those creams to be comedogenic too... Please help me in balancing my skin... O don't understand how to deal with it... Hope I got some good dermats here... Give me some suggestions...
Hi, Archana. I understand your pain. Sudden flair ups can be caused because of many reasons. Products, environmental changes, hormonal changes, etc. I would suggest that you talk to a Dermat to understand the cause. For now, stop using actives. Use a no-actives cleanser, light moisturizer at night and sunscreen in the morning. Your acne might increase, use very little BP only as spot treatment ( only if your skin can tolerate it) If the cause is over-exfoliation your skin will improve.
