In my opinion this is the best console racing game produced in the past several years. Those that state it's simply a mashup of several previous titles (i.e. NH, SRX, Tony Stewart series) have either (1) not played it or (2) have and don't understand the physics behind dirt racing. Yes, the UI is similar: the physics upgrade is outstanding. Those that state 'it's not iRacing': it was never intended to be iRacing and was not marketed as such. Those that state it's not a hardcore simulation: you're right, it's not and it has never been marketed or presented that way. Its obvious the 'reviewer' has a bias. Complaining about the repetitive nature of the racing is ridiculous since the actual format of dirt races (B Main, A Main, Qualify Dash, etc.) is completely different from other racing series and is accurately presented in this title. If the reviewer had bothered to check the format / rules are explained in detail in the game. What's interesting is that the overwhelming negative comments about the game are confined to this vids. comments section. A simple search on social media reveals overwhelming positive support for the game (e.g., the games FB page has 10K + members 16 days after launch).

As a console player I don't have the luxury of games like iracing. But for console and for a dirt racing or even American style racing game, this is by far the best I've played since the old nascar games. The cars are fun, there's a level of difficulty in mastering the spring cars and tracks.
@Mike White I'm aiming for joining any league I can. And I just got a pc and iracing, today was first day I've been on and already set a #21 fastest lap
Disagree with your review yeah I am a diehard dirt fan so that may have some to do with it but I’ve been playing nonstop for most part in my free time since I’ve gotten it haven’t had the urge to switch games once best console racing game I’ve played in awhile
This. This 'review' - and applying that word to this vid. is generous - is both counterfactual and obviously done by someone who has no real knowledge or interest in dirt racing. It was never marketed and or presented as a hardcore simulation: it is a game with sim elements that is difficult to master (at highest difficulty levels) and is extremely rewarding.
I agree this game is pretty good. I've got dirt racing back ground, and the physics are a lot better than the 2 tony Stewart games that came out within the last 2 years. The entire track is racable, where as the tony Stewart games where basically one line tracks. If you were moved off of that line, you got freight trained by 5 to 10 cars before you could move back down to your lane. And just the way the cars handle, i can speak for the stock cars that they handle very realistic. A very fun game. I'm hooked on it at the moment.
Yeah, usually I’d get a bit bored of a brand new game after a few hours of playing and then I’d play it again the next day but It’s been the only game I’ve played in the last 2 days, I’ve played it every chance I get too
I’m a nascar fan. So your opinion was helpful I’m glad you like it I’m definitely buying it. Do you know if this game will have srx racing in the future that Allstar race on tv was so much fun watch.
I love this game! I work at a dirt track (Ohsweken Speedway) who hosted World Of Outlaws and I think they bring the feel of a typical race day to the fans! It’s pretty cool to see my local track hero in the game too!
This has been my favorite purchase on Series X .. Just ahead of wreckfest. Just finished my first national championship in the entry level stock car, 18 wins in the series. Netted about 1 mil that I spent on 410 sprint car and all lvl 3 upgrades .. man that is one fast and hard to handle car! Struggling to get top 10 so far. Wish I went with Late Model instead.
I completely agree with @J. P. Kelly . Undulation, bump and cushion is better than iRacing dirt oval track. AI behavior is really great, balance of difficulty also awesome. This is really great stand alone racing game in decade...though this is actually maniac racing genre. Anyway, if you want to join unknown race genre, I really recommend this. I'd say this is the best SimCade(I purposefully say for great SIM RACERS), great tuned by iRacing for console. I played iRacing dirt oval, so I thought drive easy in this game, however it was not too easy. On the other hand , there is no surface condition change like iRacing, so it's easy to drive fast once you found a trick. This is pro and con, but surface condition change is really tricky for dirt oval beginners, and this game has varied 40 tracks. Cons is tricky wheel setting(need to check wheel range in option, and it must set 100, not 50. If not, wheel rotation is around 90 degrees as default. btw, i'm using Fanatec, not sure this issue occur other wheels. It's really hard to find other palyers in streaming, haha. For your information, FFB is gooood IMO). Lastly, it's easy to say arcade...and reviewers gameplay is like a newborn fawnme. Be a outlaw cheetah...sorry, kidding! You are the best! Once more thing, they say "The official World of Outlaws video GAME" in advertise, not "SIM". Again, this is the best racing game for me. Have a good one, outlaws!!
I've been playing this game a few days. It's got good replay value. The career is pretty fun. Online is kind of lagging though. There was enough for a race but only two lobbies and one had only one player in it. I didn't really get it for that, but I do enjoy going online once I get good at a game.
I live in a racing town with several dirt tracks, Bakersfield, CA. I have my Xbox series X, NLR wheel stand and a 39” tv right in front for an up close in your face experience. I play many racing games on console with a Logitech 923 wheel and this game feels and looks very good. I find myself playing for many hours late at night in my man cave with the sound turned up and after a few hours in career mode, I’m physically drained. I might have to turn force feedback down a bit because I’ve been experiencing wrist pain the morning after and this isn’t even a DD wheel. Out of all the racing games I own, I keep coming back to this one not only because it’s exciting, but its fun.
I never tried the Tony Stewart Dirt stuff, but to me this game with iRacing & Monster Games did a great job making this game fun & enjoyable. It can be set to many skill levels, the AI puts up a fight with that done, taking care of equipment and finishing good really stresses the importance drivers feel too irl. To me that's something consoles were really missing. Yes, having "sim" feel and control would have been great, but for what I believe this game targeted, was right on the mark for all to just enjoy.
I have played this game/sim and man with a nice steering wheel and all asists off and making it as realistic as possible is close to playing real iracing best dort racing console game ever
I've played a lot of racing games in the past but never owned an Outlaws related title until this game. It seems pretty fun and to me was money well spent, I've been playing it a lot lately. I was hoping it might be more sim than what this video points out, but maybe it's a good thing that I've never played the true iRacing version
I have to say that messing around with car setups and my wheel settings. It actually feels quite realistic on wheel. It definitely takes getting used to the car’s handling considering that especially the sprint cars are built asymmetrically which makes them a bit unstable but once you understand how the cars behave, it actually feels pretty believable. I honestly had more fun and a better experience playing this game than playing ACC. I’m a huge fan of Motorsports so I love to get as close as possible to the real deal. This ticks most of the boxes for me, it’s a little sad that you can’t change your name ( I don’t find it very immersive having my gamer tag on the car lol ) and also a bit sad that you don’t have a player made section for stickers and liveries. Other than that, it’s a solid 7.5/10 for me
Please OverTake GG, I suggest you to review the World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 2023 Edition (DLC), and the Chili Bowl Nationals. It'd be much appreciated to get a sequel to this.

It's trash and parts were falsely advertised... all new physics??? Not hardly. Mildly improved physics over their last title? I'll give it that. They also bragged about laser scanned track data they used from iRacing. None of the tracks are quite right. The biggest offender being Knoxville. Completely different than that on iRacing. If you played all American Racing, you'll feel right at home. Same menu system. Same car setup system. Same stupid replay system. It's basically the same game with some officially licensed tracks and mildly improved physics. Oh they removed win celebrations all together. Wtf? A win feels meaningless. This was an iRacing cash grab. They knew if they put their name on it, we would at least buy it to try it. That's why no pc release. Us PC players would rip it apart and it would be a dead game in days.
I believe if a person never played iracing, then this game would be great, but for me I have played alot of iracing and nothing else even remotely compares, I use to race real dirt cars and hands down iracing is leaps and bounds above any other racing game/sim, so if a person loves iracing then don't buy this game, it's not even close, this is the difference between arcade and sim, if this game was more sim like then I may play it, its simply to arcade for my liking, but that's just my opinion
Really disappointed that this is a console exclusive, seems to me like that basically guarantees that in a few months from now very few people will remember that this game even exists. Seriously strange for iRacing of all people to involve themselves in a console-only game.
This game is literally just a reskinning and aggregated content from three tony stewart games with some WOO branding, which all have had PC releases. It's bizarre to not release it on PC and kind of an insult to the people who've bought the Tony Stewart and SRX games. Slapping iRacing all over it is disingenuous at best.
